Umm… speechless!
The twists and turns in this book are incredible. Every chapter pulls you deeper into the story, and just when you think you know what’s coming, it completely surprises you. Sage is absolutely the kind of character you can’t help but admire. I want to be her when I grow up. And Damon? Definitely a shadow daddy… just without the shadows. And the dragons! I truly cannot say enough good things about them or the role they play in the story.
The banter between Sage and the other characters is one of the highlights of the book. The quick remarks, the wit, and the constant back-and-forth make the dialogue feel lively and entertaining. If you enjoy sharp, clever banter, this book absolutely delivers.
Sage is the youngest of three in a world where divided families fight relentlessly for water and power. Viewed by her own family as weak, pathetic, and unworthy of love, she grows up surrounded by people who care only about control and influence. But when she’s forced to choose between standing with the rebellion or remaining loyal to her family, Sage begins to discover who she truly is. She evolves into a strong, fearless character, the kind of badass heroine we all love to see.
