❝ So of course I’ve been praying about it. Because I know God cares about the details. He’s in the details. He knows my heart’s desires—because He’s the one who placed them there. ❞ 22%
❝ She described marriage like two explorers landing on a new, uncharted shore. They decided they would build a life there—together. No matter what challenges came, they'd face them side by side. And then, to make sure there was no turning back, they burned their ships. That was the commitment: not just choosing each other, but choosing to stay. ❞ 36%

- ̗̀ general ̖́-
- The way this book was written felt like I was on FaceTime with my bestie as she went through life. It was easy to read, understand, and just enough description to let my imagination picture every place. I truly enjoyed this book, and even teared up a few times. The amount of times I’ve been told to settle, to not expect any sort of happily ever after is wild, but this reignited my prayer to God about what kind of man of God I want. I know this book was sugary sweet and relationships aren’t perfect, but this showed me what happens when God is first in finding a spouse. Nataly and Nathan were equally yoked, which to me showed a perfect balance to each other. The fact this is based on the authors real life love story is so inspiring. It gives me hope that one day God will align and place me exactly where I need to be.
I would have given it 5 stars, but due to my personal convictions on how much I want to have pda when I find my man, this made me a tad uncomfortable. Too much kissing or steam for my liking personally. It was definitely pretty innocent so I didn’t mind it too too much, but like I said; for ME it was a tad much.
- ̗̀ plot ̖́-
- Truthfully the plot wasn’t exactly the most profound thing, but I just enjoyed the ride. It felt like the perfect romcom, a Jesus filled romcom is now my new favorite genre. The romance really felt both real and magical, a testament to Gods timing at work.
- ̗̀ characters ̖́-
- Nataly was my girl, truly. If the author based this character on herself, I think I found a new friend lol. There’s a famous Andrew Garfield line where he describes Emma stone as “a shot of espresso in the morning,” and that’s exactly how I feel about this fmc. She was so trusting in God, so genuinely kind, and I felt like I was in my own head at times because of how heavily I related to her.
- Nathan was an absolute darling and treasure. I pray God sends me my own Nathan, a man of God who is genuine. There’s a popular book that talks about being a help-meet, and that is exactly what these two characters are to each other.
