About the Book
AN ACCESSIBLE AND ENGAGING WAY TO INTEGRATE STOIC PHILOSOPHY IN LIFE.
The centuries-old philosophy of the Stoics holds the key to navigating our modern world. With its practices for staying calm under pressure, making ethical decisions and navigating challenges, Stoicism offers a practical framework for cultivating calmness and positivity in a complex world.
One of the greatest of the Stoics is Lucius Annaeus Seneca, whose writings explore the importance of ethics, resilience and virtue. His work lays the foundations of the Stoic way of life.
Using curated quotations from Seneca’s work, and supplemented with helpful commentary, authors Jana Capri and Charan Díaz formulate seventy-nine questions that cover a range of universal concerns. Stay Calm with Seneca is a thoughtful and wise companion through the twists and turns of modern life.

When it comes to Stoic philosophy, Seneca has always been my favorite. I deeply resonate with his writings, as well as with Epictetus. Whenever I read Seneca’s thoughts, they make me reflect, and the beauty lies in how wisdom written 2,000 years ago still feels so relevant today. Through this book, I have discovered and cultivated a deeper sense of calm and inner peace.

What I love most about this book is how it addresses modern problems and untangles them using Stoic principles. The blend of timeless Stoic wisdom and insightful psychological reflections makes this an excellent read for anyone struggling to make sense of life’s complexities and their own thoughts.

This book will help you remain calm under pressure, understand life’s deeper meaning, make ethical choices, and navigate challenges with composure. Embracing its teachings allows you to face uncertainty without fear, to hope for the best but be prepared for the worst.

I highly recommend this book to everyone, whether or not they are familiar with Stoicism. It offers valuable insights into living with purpose and finding true peace and calm amid life’s demands.
