I just finished Nightshade - book four of the Dark Pieces series by Maria McCartan. This author's storytelling only gets better as she reveals the back story of hero/vampire Nick Craven. He describes what his human life was like to heroine/fiancee Carly and the author provides a very detailed timeline. Nick had a very good life with wonderful parents until his father revealed that they had a mission to rid the world of evil vampires. I won't reveal any spoilers, but this series only gets better and better! Also, I did receive an advanced copy of this book from the author for an honest review. Can't wait for the next sequel!

Seriously

I actually like the story line. Too bad it seems so rushed. Though there are parts of the book that are irritating yet predictable. What is even more irritating is why the price for a few chapters is so much. It's odd how this book series is so broken up. As much as I want to buy the next one, it's probably not worth it as it will most likely end abruptly with a cliff hanger.
