A hooded man plays a twisted game of cards in a back alley. The parents of a demon baby are plagued by their brood’s incessant whimpering. Death loses its meaning after a sick experiment by an old doctor. The silence of mimes cuts just as sharp as their blades. A ballerina twirls gracelessly as a toy laments its fate. Bungling teenagers attempt to dispose of a body after a threesome gone horribly wrong.
Cesspool features 20 pieces of macabre art by Jay Hansen and Devin Francisco, accompanied by grotesque stories by Joe Knetter, MP Johnson, T.A. Wardrope, Tyler Hansen, Kenneth E. Olson and Roxie Hockensmith.

When I ordered this book I didn't take the time to see how many pages long it was, so when I opened my package and discovered how short it really was I was disappointed. But that was my fault and not the authors. The stories were a mixture of bad, ok and more ok. Most were too short for anything good or worth while to happen in. Two or three pages at the most. Nothing too gory. The artwork was the most impressive thing about this book. I enjoyed it more than any of the stories. Which by the way, I was very happy that I wrote down reviews for each as I went because sitting here writing this less than 10 minutes after finishing the book I can't really remember much of anything I just read. It's listed as being 106 pages long but considering how much artwork is in the book the actually page count is 58. and that's me being generous because a lot of those pages are also half covered in artwork or only a couple sentences long. I don't know, I didn't enjoy the book. But than again it was much too short for my liking. But again most of that is my fault for not looking at the page count before ordering.
