“I’m surrounded by my family. I've been their protector, counselor, and leader. I was forced to be strong for them. But now, it’s my time to be strong for myself.” ~ Reggie Evans

Five years later…

The Evans family has experienced their share of heartache and trauma. Individually, each has faced the darkest days from their past to move forward with their lives. Today, they are stronger than ever. They have discovered the strength to move forward. Survive anything. Endure all.

Each Evans brother has moved past the turmoil surrounding Presley’s death and Jeremy’s
incarceration, finding the love of their life and living in happiness for the last five years. Together, they have grown, wounds have mended, and there is nothing standing in the way of their promising futures. That is, until a villain from years ago comes from the shadows, upsetting the family’s blissful existence.

Once again, the family is divided, each brother forced to evaluate how crucial it is for them to stay together in Sulfur Heights or face the reality of leaving to survive on their own.
Everlasting Love is ultimately what the Evans brothers have been searching for their entire lives, but will it be the path fate has planned?

Everlasting Love was the emotional conclusion to the Sulfur Heights series. Throughout the series, each Evan’s brother met his match and fell in love. Every brother and their women had their perspectives and the series has followed one long timeline ending with Jeremy’s story in book 5. Everlasting Love gave each character a voice and took place a couple of years after the end of Redeemed Love.

What a conclusion!

The book began with Darcie and Reggie, two points of views I was looking forward to. Years have gone by since I last took a trip inside their heads and saw things from their points of view. They are some of my favorite characters in the series. I like the way they look at things and I think I’ve always seen their point of views and related more to them. I also like that Darcie isn’t a mom. She does things for Reggie and herself and isn’t saddled with the extra problems that come from having children. It makes her a much more relatable character to me since I don’t have kids, either.

Every character had a major decision to make in regards to their future and it all began with Reggie and Darcie, the tragedy they faced, and the decision they made as a result. Jeremy and Cami were faced with a similar decision based on similar events, and each Evan’s brother found himself in the same spot. I loved how their situations were all unique, yet the decision they had to the make was the same.

What was shocking to me was that in Everlasting Love, the bad guy.. the brother causing the family grief and pain.. was not Jeremy. It was Jake. He was one of the more lighthearted and funny characters who always had something to say, but wasn’t all violent and brooding like his twin. Unfortunately, the decisions of the rest of the family impacted him in a way that no one could have predicted. He was experiencing problems that no one knew how to deal with and he lashed out.

I think I needed Everlasting Love because I’ve never really liked Darcie all that much. I mean, I liked her, but she’s definitely been my least favorite character (well, after Presley) in the series. She was just too… beauty pageant and bubbly for me. Years after she met Jake, though, she was a tough mom and a source of support for all of the other girls in the series. I enjoyed her character a lot and I’m glad I got so much of her in this book.

Everlasting Love was an emotional book, not just because it was an ending to the series, but because it was full of traumatic events, heartbreak, turmoil, love, hope, redemption, and tough decisions. I loved it so much and I’m glad it ended the way it did. It was such an amazing conclusion to the series and I feel like I got so much closure now that I know the remaining characters are safer.

I love this series, the seedy setting, and the flawed, but lovable characters.

I’m so sad the series is over, but I have ZERO complaints about the way it all ended. Even if my favorite character was a gigantic asshole for literally the entire book.

I highly recommend every book in the series if you’re a fan of gritty contemporary romance. I have tried to fall in love other seedy settings and bad boys with soft spots, but no one comes close to the this series for me. And if I’m being honest, most of them are kind of awfully written and I don’t understand how they’ve made it on to any bestseller lists when this series isn’t as popular! (I am not afraid to say that Travis Maddox and any of his brothers are no match for the Evan’s brothers.) I’d love to see this series on the shelf at Target like so many other romances because it’s well written, addicting, and full of drama, grit, and romance.

Another phenomenal book by the amazing M.S. Brannon!!!! I would give this book, as all her other books, a million stars! Yes, they are that good!!!! Everlasting Love is the last in the Sulfur Heights series that has chronicled the lives of the Evan’s brothers and the women who love them. Readers catch up with the guys after several years. Some have married, some have children, and they have all worked hard to make a life in the desolate Sulfur Heights, but while they have changed, the town has stayed the same if not a little worse. When something happens to one of the brothers, they each have to make a decision about the direction of their own lives. But, will it forever tear the family apart, or eventually bring them closer together?

I loved that the several chapters focused on one of the brothers and their wives/girlfriends. It was told from each one’s point of view…which I love! I love to see inside the mind of characters and what drives them. For me, it connects me more to the characters. I have always felt connected with Brannon’s characters, but I felt more so with this book. She really delves into the deep part of them, sometimes the part that you don’t want to see, but you have to in order to really see what makes them tick. For example, Jake, I know a lot of readers were incredibly mad at him. I was too, but I felt more sympathy for him than any of the other guys. To say he was a jerk would be putting it mildly; he caused so much pain to his family. However, Brannon really made me see why he was behaving in the way he was. For all those who know Jake, he presents himself as this confident and truthfully, cocky, sex god. However, when you peel those outer layers away, he is still a little boy who fears abandonment. OMG, there were times I really wanted to punch him in the face, but I also wanted him to get his life together and realize what an amazing family he has.

I have LOVED all of the Sulfur Heights series, but this one is my favorite. It was so emotional, and I cried a lot, but it was oh so good! M.S. Brannon is one of those rare writers who knows how to bring out all sorts of emotions in her readers…from anger, frustration, pain, tears, and finally a happiness that only comes from struggle and heartache. And really, that is what real life is all about…the struggle and pain to the happy, joyous times. And to top it off, she makes you love her characters even more. This was truly an incredible, and perfect ending to the series. As Jake says, “The road has been a long one. We have all suffered in our own right, and we have been put through hell. It’s been said time and time again, but I will say it again: Life can tear the Evans family to shreds. It can beat us and break us, but we always manage a way to be put back together. We are indestructible.” Thank you, M.S., for taking us, your readers on that same journey. You do that to us with your writing; you tear us apart emotionally, but you put us back together, and we are just left in wonder and awe of your incredible talent!!!!!

SHORT REVIEW:
EPIC-Logue. M.S. Brannon made sure that her last book in Sulfur Heights would put a mark on me. It had my heart totally pummeled and broken at first before bringing it back together. If you think the longer stories had you shaken, wait until you read the shorter versions of it.

LONGER:
You need to be in the dark first before you can finally appreciate the light. M.S. Brannon had a way to break your hearts first to make the ending sweeter. I have watched these couples fought their own battles and demons and watched them grasp their happy endings with both arms.

I thought the hell that they have been through has been enough, and it was time for them to live out their lives happily. But no. This is Sulfur Heights after all – anything is bound to happen. Old demons from the past resurface and put another test to the Evans family. The family is divided, no matter how much they wanted to stay together, circumstances are forced to drive them apart.

One of my personal favorites in this final book was the last story – I think it was the most gripping, emotional of all. It somehow found a way to make me cry. It showed that despite the imperfections, despite what happen – family would always be family. They would go to the depths of the world, and fight your demons if you’re too wounded to fight it.

It’s a family’s journey towards peace and their happy ending. It was rough, it was dreadful – but the journey was worth it. Your four favorite couples are back once again, stronger and fiercer than ever. If they had survived the past, be sure that they will survive the present stuffs that fate throws at them.

This book was the perfect ending for the series. MS Brannon does an amazing job of closing everyone’s story and giving you that ending that you’ve been begging for. The Evans family is an almost impenetrable family that just can’t be torn apart, however maybe there is one thing that can separate this loveable family.

The Evans may be one happy family, but there is always something dark lurking around the corner. It’s been 5 years since the family reconnected once Jeremy was released from jail, but they aren’t allowed to relax for too long. It first starts after Reggie’s huge birthday party, and things start to go downhill from there. They all have something they need to overcome, and the question is always swirling in their minds. Do they stay here in Sulfur Heights, or do they finally make the break and leave this horrible town?

Though all of their stories were heart-wrenching and you have tears in your eyes reading what this family has to go through, there is one couple I felt the hardest for. Jake and Delilah. These two have been my favorite since they were first introduced in book 2. Their story was the hardest for me to read, I had tears pouring down my face because my heart just hurt for these two. Jake has always been my favorite of the brothers, but there were times I hated him. With all the change that was happening around him, he didn’t take it well and started to hurt those around him. Question is, will this family be able to save the one brother who has always been there for them, or has he hurt them all too much beyond repair?

I think my favorite part about this book was that MS Brannon did this book in sections with the characters POVs. I love how they are broken down by couple so that it isn’t confusing, one of my favorite of the series (besides Blind Love of course). If you haven’t read this series yet, you are missing out on something that is simply amazing.

Throughout this series MS Brannon brings forth emotions that most other books are unable to do. Go ahead and read this series, you won’t regret it, I promise!

Brannon, Brannon, Brannon…oh, how much you make me feel with your stories. Smh.

The final book in the Sulfur Heights series is…well, not as gutting as the other books, especially Tragic Love, but it gets pretty damn close! So much drama in one family, I can’t take it sometimes. I ALWAYS have to put down Brannon’s books and take a breather; otherwise, I would be a sobbing mess and wouldn’t be able to process the story.

We get everyone’s POV in this book, starting from the beginning, with Darcie and Reggie. Their story starts a domino effect that encompasses a big change to the Evans family. Each member must make a life changing decision: to stick together, or go their separate ways. Their journeys to that decision is what makes this story so gutting, so heartbreaking, so much of what makes this series as suspenseful as it is beautiful, as the past comes back to haunt family members, sorrow hits once again, and some members can’t handle all the changes.

I am really sad to see the end of this series. Too sad!

I couldn't have imagined a better ending to the Evans Family's story than this one. This series has been one heck of a bumpy ride for each brother, but their strength and love has seen them through, and this story was no exception. I loved that it was broken into parts that gave us a glimpse of each couple's perspective.

Well done, M.S. Brannon! I can't wait to see what you come up with next!

This one was a bit disjointed but I like the Reggie and Darcy HEA or new start. I do like some of the closure to the series but I’m so invested so feeling greedy for more! I ❤️ the Evans!!!!

Everlasting Love is the finale to the Sulfur Heights series. In true Evans’ fashion the brothers don’t reach their HEA without real trauma that tugs at the heart strings of the reader.

I love the way the book is organized. There are four sections to the book featuring an Evans and their significant other. Each of the four sections follows the format of the previous books switching points of view. I’ve said it before but this is my favorite format because I love getting into the head of multiple characters. The switch between POVs is clear and seamless.

The book starts by wrapping up Darcie and Reggie’s story. It ends with Jake and Delilah’s story. Each section not only focuses on the featured couple but also gives additional insight into the other brothers’ journey. People come back into their life from the past to cause havoc, tears and, fears and causes joy and anxiety for the reader.

I love how M.S. Brannon digs deep into the heart of the brothers and shows the reader more than we learn in the previous books. We see real torment and struggle to be a better person with failures and successes for each. These characters are bound together even though they often let each other down. It is a real picture of a family dynamic.

Another thing I like about this book is that it doesn’t just wrap up the series it gives the reader more than having the Evans follow the path of the previous books. There is an unexpected twist to Jake that took me by surprise but at the same time I expected some pain beneath his jovial exterior. Drake’s struggles are still at the surface. Jeremy is battling with his anger issues and needs to be completely free from parole. Reggie is still the strong patriarch but needs more. Jake is floundering with the abandonment of his parents. The whole book is touching.

This is the perfect ending to a series and really completes the story of Sulfur Heights.

Well go ahead and grab the tissue box for this one. Well you need it for the whole series and this one is no different! I don't think I would have survived this book without the epilogue. This book gives us a little of all the character's POV and I love that. I was so shocked by the turn around in Jake in this book. Without the epilogue bringing back the Jake I love, I think I might have been super pissed at this story. I did love it though and I really felt for all of the shit Delilah gets put through with Jake. I really loved the intervention at the end with the brothers and Reggie's ace to get Jake to listen to what they had to say. I just felt that so much of the pain could have been avoided here. I hate that each of these amazing characters had to endure so much to get to the epilogue in this story, well not just the story but the series. I really love this series and I think there are many readers out there who will agree. I needed this ending so very badly. I wanted to see what happened with the Evan's family after all the heart ache. This would not have been an Evan's family story had it not been packed with heart ache and loss. Crying is the standard with this series but, so is love, happiness, and great sex! M.S. Brannon has wrote one of my favorite series. I feel so much for all of the characters and I am so happy to have the ending. This book is amazing. This series is amazing. The Evan's family is amazing. If you haven't read this series, do so now! Need some incentive? Jake will tell you "We are the f***ing Evans Family. Do I need to say more?"

I fell in love with the Evans family throughout the series and couldn't wait to catch up with them in this book. They have been through so much together and five years later they will each experience something just as difficult as in the past. One night will change everything for them and force them to not only face their past but decide their future.

The author writes for each couple separately in chapters, but these lives are so intertwined that each will effect the others. Reggie is my favorite of the Evans men. So strong and always putting the needs of his family first. He gave up his future to give each of them one. Becoming the father figure they needed. It was so time for him to think of himself and that night made him take a hard look at what he wanted for him and Darcie. Jeremy's past catches up with him and he takes a long look at the life he has and the one he wants for him and Cami. Drake is imprisoned by Presley's memory and will have to decide if he can let go and grab hold of a life with Zoe. Drake...his part of the story tore up my heart for all he put his family through, but it made me love Delilah even more for the strong woman that she is and how big she loves this man. I will miss this family, but I so loved their story.

I give Everlasting Love 5 hearts!

I can't say enough about this entire series! I am truly saddened that this is the final book, but M.S. Brannon did an amazing job writing the final words to these characters stories. Every single book in this series is filled with angst, love, hope, friendship, and family. Everlasting Love is no different. It will pull you in from the very start and takes you on the final journey of all of the Evans. Even past the words The End, you will feel this book. You will think of these characters, and you will always remember. M.S. Brannon has a gift for bringing you on a roller coaster ride that has you on the edge of your seat and sometimes has you wanting to throw your e~Reader against a wall. She knows how to bring you to tears and then lift you up out of the dark place she put you in. That takes talent, and with the Sulfur Heights series and Everlasting Love, she shows it. I am looking forward to the next adventure she takes us on!

This is the emotional end to a great series, I have fell in love with each Evan brother in their own ways. We see another side of Reggie and Darci story and the decisions that have to make and how they maintain the role models for the rest of the family. Each Evan brother is faced with life decisions, we fall in love with all the brothers all over again and even see the light hearted, joker Jake. This was emotional end but the whole series is awesome.
