Danni Carter acted on her emotions once to Nate Mathews, but he rejected her. Nate knew he was not the man he needed to be to for Danni, times have changed though and he has been setting everything in place to make Danni his. However it is off to a rocky start once Nate finds out Danni has a stalker, not only that Danni believes he could never have feelings for her since he rejected her once. Danni couldn't be more wrong. As their relationship builds, her stalker becomes more brazen. Will they be able to figure out who is after her before it is too late?

Another fantastic read from Lisa Helen Gray. I enjoyed Danni she is pretty intriguing as a character as she goes from shy to sassy in a matter of minutes. Nate is head over heels in love with Danni, he wants to be her rock and has set such high expectations for himself that Danni can't resist. Looking forward to the next in the forgotten series.

This is the first book I've read by Lisa Helen Gray and I can say I'm a fan now. Her writing style was different from what I'm used to, being I'm in America and she lives in the UK, but I thought it was interesting reading it and seeing the difference.

My favorite types of stories is girl falling in love with her brother's best friend, and that's exactly what this one is.
Danni has been in love with her brother's best friend, Nate, for as long as she can remember. Nate has been sweat and kind to her and has always been there when Danni needed him. One incounter between the two turns into Nate rejecting Danni and leaving her heartbroken. Years later Danni is dealing with an obsessive stalker who breaks in and trashes her house. Not feeling safe at home, Danni ends up staying with Nate until the stalker solution is solved. But old feeling start to come to surface and Danni and Nate have to deal with them coming out.

Danni is a sweat, well liked character. She wasn't popular in school, picked on and ended up being the butt of a few jokes, but she came out strong and has a happy life. You feel a connection with her about her feeling towards Nate and how worried she gets when the stalking starts to escalate.

Nate is your sweat guy who likes to be in charge. He's never a jerk to Danni, but he makes sure she knows who is in charge and that she should listen to what he is saying to her. He cares for Danni and helps to get her stalker caught before anything happens to her.

The book had a good story line, I just wasn't a fan of how fast the relationship happened. Having they're relationship happen so quickly made it a slower read for me.
What I did like was the suspense of what's going to happen next with the stalker and when will he strike. That kept you on your toes throughout the book and not wanting to put it down so you could find out.

Oh God, such a great story! Full of angst, love, real life problems! This book has it all!!!
I really enjoyed reading it and would recommend it to anyone! I hate retail stories and i won't do that here either. I loved Danni. She's that sweet girl, who will do anything for the one she loves. Actually i enjoyed in every character except the one who shall not be named! But everyone got what was coming for them! So that's important. It can be read as standalone, i read this one first and now i'm starting with the first one in series. I love books that bring out every emotion in you, happy one, angry ones, ugly crying ones. This book is one of them for sure. I hope everyone enjoys them as much as i did.
Looking forward reading first one the next ones after that!

This is the 2nd in the Forgotten Series, but can be read as a stand-alone.

Danni Carter has known Nate Mathews for as long as she can remember and has been obsessed with him for years. She has done everything she could think of to get him to see her as more than his best friend little sister. After a drunken night confession to Nate and his rejection, Danni has decided that she is going to try to put some distance between her and Nate but every time she does Nate ends up right in front of her.

Nate Mathews has been friends with Cage Carter since he was little. He knows that Danni Cage’s little is off limits as Cage reminds him time and time again but that does nothing for the fact that Danni is the only woman he has ever truly wanted. He hates the fact that Danni is keeping him at arms length after her drunken confession but he knows he can’t have her so the rejection was to protect her from him, as he doesn’t feel like he is good enough to be with her. Instead he goes from bed to bed trying to forget his attraction to Danni.

Nate finds out that Danni is having problems with who he assume is her ex-boyfriend and he step in and tries to take care of the problem. Danni doesn’t want to bother her brother Cage as he is still healing from the incident that brought Caitlyn and Carrie into his life, so she reluctantly agrees to let Nate help. When things start to get worse Nate insist that she move into his house so he can protect her better. The problem with his house is there is only one bed for the two of them. If Nate thought it was hard to resist Danni before, now that they will be sharing a bed it will make it damn near impossible. With a stalker on the loose, Danni needs his protection now more than ever but will it be enough or will it drive them apart.

I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review. I having read Lisa’s first book in the series, Better Left Forgotten and loving it, I was highly anticipating reading Nate and Danni story. To say I fell in love again doesn’t do it justice. Nate stole my heart. He is everything I want in a man. He is strong, smart, loving, affectionate, caring and protective just what every girl. He knows how to make a girls blood boil. Danni is a strong stubborn woman who knows what she wants. Owning her own bookstore and helping out her grandfather’s paper gives her the independence she needs but when her stalker’s obsession becomes too much she knows when to ask for help.
Once I started reading Obsession I couldn’t put it down. Lisa wrote and amazing romantic suspense novel that left me with a book hangover after I was finished reading it. I would say I highly recommend it to my fellow readers but that would be an understatement. You don’t want to miss out on Nate and Danni’s story, it leaves you wanting to more and looking forward to the third in the series Forgiven!!!

I started reading this book late Wednesday night, I was flicking through my Kindle to see which book was up next to review, and it wasn't there so I jumped to this book, and not taking much notice to the synopsis or such I dived straight in.

20% in and I started to get Déjà vu feelings and then I realised I was reading book 2 of a Book Series I previously read [Book:Better Left Forgotten] and enjoyed :) well it was midnight when I started! (I have a hard time sleeping - which is great for my reading time!)

This book is the type you could be read as stand alone but if you can read it in order as it will make much more sense to you.

Danni Carter is a girl after my own heart, Book lover! quiet, loyal but tough & feisty underneath, after having to deal with a cheating boyfriend, her obsession from her teenage years comes back on the scene. Nate was a character I took a liking to in the first book, Danni also appears briefly in the first book too.

Danni's life is about to get complicated, and Nate is not letting her deal with it alone... he has now grown up and realised he made a mistake thwarting Danni's affection when he was younger and is determined to get beyond her defenses.

The stalker that is making Danni's life a misery could be any number of characters introduced into the book, and Ms Gray has done a good job of keeping the reader guessing, I suspected one character, who I knew was just a total slime ball, but although he most definitely is that, it wasn't him in the end!

The synopsis says His obsession will lead to a death, but whose death will it be and again the plot twist certainly added to the tension to the end of the book.

The book deals with kidnapping, Stalkers and Sexual Assault but its been written in a way that doesn't glorify it for drama's sake and how the epilogue dealt with the aftermath was to me personally very real and not overdone.

I do like this book series and I know that Dante and Kelly's story is next and that will be on my TBR list.

Well done Ms Gray, this book series has a great group of characters, oh and I loved how the Birthday BBQ scene was written (Brought back many memories of June Birthday BBQs which got Rained off or ended up held sitting under the Plastic Gazebo wrapped up in Fleece Jumpers and huddling next to the gas heater! - I must say I prefer my Aussie BBQ's Jumping into the pool is much more fun)

Obsession is the second in The Forgotten Series, while it can be read as a stand alone I highly recommend reading Better Left Forgotten first.

Danni Carter has spent her teenage years pining away for her brother's (Cage) best friend Nate. After she gets drunk from spiked drinks served at a party, Nate comes to her rescue and takes her home. With the alcohol giving her liquid courage, she declares her feelings for him only to be rejected.

As time passes Danni decides to move on from her feelings and begins to date again, only to come home one day to find her boyfriend Liam in bed with another woman. Danni ends her relationship with Liam and soon after begins receiving mysterious phone calls and texts. After a night out with her girl friends Abbie and Layla, Danni returns home to find her apartment torn apart. She calls the police, and when Nate hear's her address over the radio he rushes to her side. When Danni lets him in on the mysterious phone calls and texts she has been receiving he insists she come stay with him where he can keep her safe.

Nate has had feelings for Danni for as long as he can remember, not feeling worthy of her he pushed her away thinking she deserves better than he can offer her. Now with Nate and Danni sharing the same space, feelings resurface. and they can't fight their attraction for each other. There's only one problem, there is someone watching their every move and he/she isn't happy with Danni and Nate's budding romance!

I was given a copy an ARC of this book in exchange for a honest review. Having read the first book in the series, I had high expectation of this book and Lisa didn't disappoint! I love Danni, she a strong, self sufficient, fireball with a smart mouth. Nate, oh Nate how I love thee, a modern day knight in shinning armor. I love the way Lisa kept you guessing who was behind the messages/threats, every time I thought I knew who it was I'd start second guessing my self. If you like a romantic suspence with some steamy sex scenes that will keep you on the edge of your seat this is the book for you. Well done Lisa!

Tammy from G & Co. Book Blog....

Obsession is a well written book by Lisa Helen Gray Author that will show you what true family and friends are really all about. But will also show you how sick and twisted some people will take their lust, desire, affection(in thier eyes), love....to a whole new unreal level....

Danni is just your normal everyday woman that goes out and works for a living but also knows how to have a good time. She has always been in love with her brothers best friend and the minute she finally confesses it things change...but there is no going back. She has to move forward. As the years pass she pushes her feeling aside for him and dates others, yet they don't compare. When a mystery person starts to calling, texting, trashes her apartment and sends threating mail to her she doesn't want to but has no choice to run to her true love. Yet he is going to be able to protect her from this mystery person and his extreme obsession with her???????

Nate.....can I have him?????? Best friends with Cage and friends with Danni since they were kids. Has secretly been in love with her yet feels as if she deserves better then what it is that he can give her. Once the phone call comes, he, Nate, is out the door and being a knight in shining armour. Nobody will ever get their hand on the woman that he has loved since childhood. She is his an only his. Nate will bust his ass night and day to protect her from this crazy man/woman that is after her. Yet the clues are just not adding up? Who can be doing this? However, is now the time to confess his undying love for her? But how is Danni going to take it? Will she want to be with him? Or has her feeling for him disappeared over the years?

I enjoyed reading this. When I was getting to the end that was when I got sucked in. The action was finally happening for me. And even though I figured out who it was the reason behind it got me. NICE ONE Lisa (high 5)!!!! I did not know that this was a series so I can tell you that this can be read as a stand alone BUT...to truly understand the true meaning of the family & friends I do suggest that you get book one Better Left Forgotten.

STARS: 5
POV: First
Series: Yes
Cliffhanger: No

This is book 2 in the Forgotten Series. It can be read as a standalone as I did it. There were some references from the first book in it but nothing as to cause confusion. You get enough of a reference for it all to make sense.

Now this book through me for a loop. I had my suspicions early on as to who the stalker was that was ruining Danni’s life but I never saw the why coming! It blew my mind. I had to catch my breath several times because it gets intense. I had no clue as to how the book was going to end. At one point, I was bawling my eyes out; so be prepared!

The book was well written and I can’t wait to see what’s coming next. I intend to read the first book as well because I am intrigued enough to want to know the full story. The characters are easy to love (well except for the obvious with the stalker yet his character was interesting to learn about). Nate….wow! I love him! The supporting characters are amazing as well and look forward to getting to know more about them.

All around, this was a great story. I was on the edge of my seat and biting my nails and some points. Go 1-click today!

I dont know which I preferred Better Left Forgotten or Obsession, I was so excited to get this book and wasnt disappointed with Nate & Danni's story.

I loved the way he was protective over her and he was always looking out for her, their love for each other was written really well.... everything in the book was beliveable.

Once I started this book I could not put it down, I managed to finish it within one sitting even though that meant sitting up until the early hours of the morning. The story kept me gripped the whole way through and just when I thought I knew how something was going to turn out I was thrown in a completely different direction.

This book caused every emotion from laughing out loud to sobbing into my tissue, really good job!!!! I dont know who I love more Cage or Nate..... cannot wait for Dante's story.

Lisa Helen Gray is starting to become one of my top favourite authors, all 3 of her books that Ive read so far have been exactly what the dr ordered!!!

Well Done Lisa, roll on Forgotten!!!!!

This is the second installment in the Forgotten Series Danni and Nate's story. After reading the first book in this series I knew I had to keep reading to find out what was going on with Danni and Nate. Danni is Cage's little sister so she's supposed to be off limits to Nate or is she? Danni has wanted Nate for what seems like forever for her but she can't forget how he rejected her one disastrous night. When a stalker starts escalates in tormenting Danni that's when Nate forces his way back into Danni's life. Trying to fight their attraction while investigating who might be after her is difficult especially when Nate realizes he can't fight his feeling for her anymore. This story has it all heat, suspense, hot sex, family interruptions and more. I kept changing my guesses as to who the stalker was. I loved Danni and Nate's story and can't wait for more. Lisa Helen Gray has you laughing one minutes and then wanting to cry the next. All I can say is her books are page turners and I can't wait til the next installment is available...

I Beta read this story and will provide an honest review.

This is the second book in the Forgotten Series. I enjoyed the story. It contained a lot of suspense which had me guessing and on my toes. Obsession also contained a good love story beside all the thrilling events happening. I think Lisa did a really good job in getting her plot and characters together. Everything flowed together well and you are not left feeling confused but of course you will always want more.

I could give you a play by play of what happens in the story but where is the fun in that? I want you to read and be able to experience all that Obsession has to offer. The blurb gives you an excellent taste of what the story is about and if that doesn't get your attention to one click this baby then I am not sure what else will.
Read Obsession and get an insight into the lives of Danni and Nate. Fall in love with another great couple

This was a really good story. It had romance, steamy scenes, and suspense. It was also a second chance love story. Danni has been in love with Nate, her brother's best friend, for years but when she was fifteen he rejected her and broke her heart. Nate did it because even though he had an attraction to her he felt he wasn't good enough for her.

Seven years later he is ready to make his move. After Danni's apartment is broken into she moves in with Nate and things just connect for the couple. All does not go smoothly though because someone doesn't approve of this pairing and is committed to putting an end to it. How far will the stalker go?

This was a page-turner that kept me on the edge of my seat to see what was going to happen next and if Danni and Nate were going to get their happily ever after. Both main characters were very likable. I recommend this to anyone that likes a little steam with their romantic suspense.

Great book from Lisa Helen Gray. Having read the first book of the series, it was great to be able to revisit the characters and see where the others have developed in this second installment. This is Danni and Nates story, will they keep avoiding each other or will they finally give in to their feelings? This book is based on love, loyalty and friendship and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to book 3 :-)

The way Lisa's first book (Better Left Forgotten) ended set up the perfect introduction for Danni and Nate's story. I thought it was very sweet and well played out, although Nate's protectiveness did go a tad overboard and got on my nerves at times. I did being to understand it better once I looked at things from his perceptive, but still think it could have been scaled back. Overall, Lisa once again tackled a difficult social problem head on, allowing it to be believable and heart touching.

Obsession (Forgotten, #2)I do not know where to start,I guess I'm shocked still.
Danni Carter is Cage sister is sweet ,young women who is from childhood,
in love with Cage bestfriend Nate Mathews. But then one dreadful, drunken night, her obsession turned into rejection. She has spent years distancing herself from Nate.
Until one good day is broken down into her house and no one other than Nate will appear
with the police her door.If you remember well then you know Nate and Cage have
security company. And so this adventure starts,to much drama there.
There is stalker there who is obsession with her. You never know who to trust.
Be it somebody stranger or close. At times, it seemed like a pretty little liars,
if you've read it or seen a movie then you know what I'm talking about.
There is scenes what shocked me, really loved characters.
Overall all the time something happened not once was not boring,
although there were places where I wanted to throw my kindle and ask why Author.
Read you do not regret.
Thank you Lisa Helen Gray!

Just as with the previous book the heroin is overdramatic. One minute she is smiling and the next she is a screaming banshee.
When she gets pictures of her and Nate having sex she is freaking out. So when Nate suggest going to bed she starts yelling at him that it isn't all about sex, after they just had those pictures sent to her. He was just suggesting sleep and she feels bad for getting out of hand and then she starts coming on to him that they end of having sex. Didn't she just throw a fit about it.
There were other incidents that just didn't go with what was being said. She threw a fit about no curtains so no one could see in and then the next minute she is wanting to have sex outside. When Nate says something about being seen she is like I don't care who see's us.
As for who was responsible for all of her grieve was no surprise. In my opinion it was obvious from the very beginning even before he started acting weird.
Also isn't that Nate's job, security. He couldn't do shit and it took Kelly a second to figure out what was going on.

Danni and Nate's story was a beautiful second chance romance with a stalker lurking in the background. The mystery and suspense had me on the edge of my seat throughout the book. I had a feeling that the stalker could only be one of two people. I just hoped that the first one I suspected wasn't the stalker, but unfortunately it was. If you love mystery and a wonderful heroine and a hero who was the ever so loving gentleman, then this book is for you.

This was an amazing read.

Good read

I liked Nate and Dani’s book the romance was there and the strong family and friend bond. My only problem was Nate is an investigator and he missed so many clues. He noticed them then wrote them off when he was dealing with the love of his life, that didn’t add up to me.
