From USA Today and NYT bestselling author Cora Brent....

Those dirty-talking, hard-loving, sexy alpha triplets are back!

This time it's Chase Gentry who has met his match in the latest story filled with gritty realism, steamy bedroom antics and the unbreakable bonds of love and brotherhood. May be read as a stand alone. 348 print pages.

Stephanie...
As a bookie, I know more about money lines, pay sheets and point spreads than any six men. I always thought I was in control until a terrible betrayal taught me otherwise. The price was my dignity and I can't bear to make any more mistakes.
Chase Gentry figured it would be easy to get to me. He thought I was like every other girl, just dying to spread wide for him. I knew it was a rotten gamble to get mixed up with a guy too smart and too hot for his own good. Chase is destined to be as much trouble to those around him as he is to himself. But it's too late. He's already won my heart.
Everyone around us insists that we're wrong for each other; too intense, too explosive. Everyone might be right.

Chase...
Gentry men aren't supposed to be very bright. We're big. We're brutal. Women can't wait to invite us inside. I know I can have any one of them I want any time I want.
It seems unlikely that some bad-tempered chick and her snotty attitude would keep my interest but here it is. Stephanie has no idea what she does to me. I want that girl in more ways than I can even talk about.
It should have been enough to have her and be done with it. But no matter how volatile we are together, it's never enough. To hell with anyone who objects. I'm not letting her go.

Warning: The third book in the bestselling Gentry Boys series contains explicit language, sexual situations and violence that may be upsetting to some.

I'm a huge fan of insta-love , grunge era flannel, my vintage Kenmore sewing machine, embroidered dishcloths and absolutely everything that has to do with 1980s pop culture (i.e. leg warmers, scrunchies, big hair, early Madonna, boom boxes, wood paneled walls, stonewash jeans, etc).

If you believe in Happily Ever After and improbable love stories, chances are I'll love you too!!

I'm exhausted.

I shouldn't have read this series in one go. I'm kind of curious about what comes next, but at the same time I'm kind of curious about how my life would go without reading any more books of this series.

You know, kinda when you ask yourself, what would I feel if I shot myself on one foot but end up now doing it. Kinda the same, or not. Whatever. Go and read something that makes you happy people. I love you all.

PS: This book wasn't bad, but reading them in one go made it a bit tedious. But I loved the three brothers and their partners.

I like Game the less than the other books in the series. I have a high hope for Chase story. After all he is the carefree one. And usually the carefree one, is the mist damaged. But his story disappoint me. I do like the banter and the smart mouth of Chase. It really highlight his carefree character. Deep inside he is fighting his addiction demon.

Stephanie is kind like mute in the background. Her past comes out toward the end of the book. Somehow in Game, miss Brent can not adding more plot/ twist into the story. It feels flat. Really dry and flat.

I give this 3 stars due to smart mouth of Chase.

Did I read the same book as everyone else? Let me start off by saying that I wanted to love this series. I wanted to be emotionally invested in the characters. But there were some big issues for me. I actually stopped reading this book at about 20% in and skipped to the end. These characters were wooden and awkward with no real attachment to each other. And I am really getting tired of female authors that have to turn every female lead into a sexual victim. In the first book the lead was raped (which was never really addressed), in the second the lead was exploited (again, not really addressed) and then this one...no spoilers but she was violated and exploited. Seriously. I expect this from male authors but I'm tired of female authors using sexual violence as a plot tool. I'm disappointed because these characters deserved more than what they wound up as.

Re read via Audible

I liked this one a little less upon re read so I marked down to 3.5 stars.

Stephanie is pretty hard to take at times. She is not a bad person, but so uncomfortable in her own skin that she is hard to relate to. Plus the Long Island accent on Audible was a challenge at times. She was good to Chase though and put up with his childish behavior that would have driven me over the edge.

Chase is recovering from a pain pill addiction and knows Stephanie as Truly's roommate and from one of his college classes. She has seen and heard about his manwhore behavior. He is the worst of the bunch. Woman hang on him all the time. It was really ridiculous.

However, he is fascinated by her. He has not been with women since rehab (and he met Stephanie only shortly before rehab in the prior book) so at least there is that.

They hook up but it ends badly. They try again and get together very quickly. Basically forming a co-dependency that was a bit concerning. Between her history as a bookie, his addictive personality and being a recovering addict, you can imagine there is some drama.

It was still a good edition though and I loved seeing Cord and Saylor!

I don't want this series to end!!! Ever! Seriously.

It amazes me how Cora Brent can write such different characters. I absolutely loved Chase. He was hilarious, crass, lovable, and of course very Gentry. (Yes, I'm using Gentry to describe him because that word should be a description all on its own.) And the sex scenes were off the charts hot!! I want Chase and his smartass mouth!! There was one scene in particular that had me rolling with laugher...because that's just how Chase is. Such a contrast to Creed.

I'm going to have withdrawals now that I've finished reading. Do yourself a favor and read this series immediately. Reading order: DRAW (#1), RISK (#2), and GAME (this one!) And then at the front of the book Cora Brent has announced Deck will also have a book of his own...so thank goodness I have that to look forward to next year!

DNF for me. The book just didn't do it for me. I could never get over my total dislike of Stephanie on top of being annoyed that everyone thought they had the right to put their two cents in on whether Chase and Stephanie should be together.

5 Chase Freaking Gentry Stars!!

description

Honestly, Cora Brent can do no wrong with these books. Hot brothers, who also happen to be triplets with a messed up background and enough emotional baggage to fill a 747. Beautiful slightly damaged girls who are trying to outrun past traumas. Hot, hot, hot, hot romances all delivered with just the right amount of passion, drama and humour. What is not to love?.

Game follows Stephanie, who we all remember from the last book as Truly's brash, independent and extremely private housemate and Chase, the handsome, smart, hilarious, man-whore and last Gentry brother.

I love how the relationship develops between these two. The banter between them was fantastic and there were so many moments when I was trying to hold back hysterical laughter. The humour balanced perfectly with the more heavy emotions in the book.

I'm not going to lie, these two had a crazy hate-to-love start to their relationship. Well, mainly the hate was on Steph's side and I don't think she ever really hated him but she certainly made poor Chase feel like she did. I loved watching them break through each others sarcasm and wit as they truly got to know, love and accept each other faults and all.

"In a lot of the ways that girl was a contradiction; brash and difficult on one front, and then shy and sweet on another. She enthralled the hell out of my everyday. I wanted every inch of her body and every piece of her heart. She already had mine."

"Chase Gentry was amazing. He was gorgeous and strong, protective and brilliant, humorous and loving. He could also be stubborn and arrogant, demanding and crude. He wasn't perfect. He was better than that. He was mine. I loved him.

They both had a lot of personal issues to overcome to be with each other but when they gave into their feelings they fell hard and fast for each other.

I loved Stephanie's character, she was independent and strong but she had a beautiful vulnerability about her. She had insecurities and I really enjoyed the sweet and protective side in Chase she managed to bring out.

description

I went into this book thinking Creed was my favourite Gentry Boy but Chase has now taken over that title. He was perfect in this book, his humour, his passion, his intelligence and sweet heart completely won me over.

description

We still got to see a lot of interaction between the brothers as well as Saylor and Truly. They have all changed so much since the very first book but their loyalty, love and friendship all remains the same.

description

Just like the other two book in the series Game was a fantastic read. Told from dual perspectives it flowed so well that I could not put it down. My only complaint and it seems to be the re-occurring issue that I have with this series - is that after an intense build up of a major drama it always gets handled in the most anticlimactic way. I was also left scratching my head about Steph's brothers involvement in the book, he made an appearance but didn't do anything to significant. I'm hoping that will be something that is addressed in future books.

That aside, I am really sad this is the last of the Gentry Brothers books but am really looking forward to reading Deck's story when it comes out.

RECENSIONE QUI: https://thereadingslove.blogspot.com/...

description

5 Chasing Stars!

Review by Natasha Gentile

So when I first met the Gentry brothers, I was so exited to see how these sexy triplets would each become their own person with their own stories. I couldn’t wait for each book, but I really couldn’t wait for Chasyn Gentry. In the other books, he was the quiet scholarly one, I found him to be the soft one and couldn’t wait to see how his story would play out. And Cora didn’t disappoint!!

Those dirty-talking, hard-loving, sexy alpha triplets are back!

They were all big, blonde, square-jawed and strong. Even just one of them would have been enough to soak all the panties within half a mile. The visual effect of the three of them together was nearly spellbinding.

Cord had a lot of tattoos and seemed like he was the steadiest of the three.

Yes, yes they are, and if I can say they are better than ever. I love when books follow families, but not only do they follow they also give you a glimpse in the other lives that we said good bye to!!!

This time it’s Chase Gentry's time to shine..oh and shine he does. Let’s just say that I wouldn’t mind taking him for a spin … And he’s set his eyes on the one girl that he can never have- Stephanie.

Chase Gentry

He was sitting at the next table with Creed and Truly as a waiter brought out steaks for all the guests. Chase was looking at me again. We shared a psychology class and once he realized we knew the same people he made a habit out of seeking me out. Like a cat batting a ball between its claws, every approach had a mischievous quality. Usually our conversations ended abruptly and profanely. In truth, Chase was so goddamn hot I had trouble staring straight at him without flinching. I could swear that jerk knew it too. He was used to chicks climbing all over him and he thought all he had to do was flash an impish smile to get what he wanted.

Stephanie you should get ready to have your world rocked, oh and buy lots and lots of panties..You're going to need them…Who is Stephanie you ask? She was introduced to us in Risk, she is Truly’s roommate. She is also a bookie, ha ha ha, I know what you're thinking -a female bookie, surely I read that wrong. No, you didn’t. She knows more about money lines, pa sheets and point spreads than anyone. It seems to be a family trait. A family she never wants to be associated with.

When she got pushed out of the bookie world the price was her dignity and she can’t afford to make any more mistakes- and to her Chase is the biggest mistake of all.

Maybe that was why my knees turned weak when Chase Gentry slid into the elevator a split second before the doors shut. He smiled at me.

Oh sweetheart, you never stood a chance against the Gentry charm. A charm I swear these boys can teach, and I class I will gladly volunteer for. Sign me up!!!

Chase thought Stephanie would be an easy target. One night and she would be out of his mind, out of his thoughts, oh but how wrong he was.

Stephanie Bransky got under my skin for some reason and I was determined to get some relief.

When they finally do spend that night together, Stephanie can’t throw him out of her bed fast enough. I think he got whip lash, and good for her. She isn’t going to be one of those silly girls to fall for his charms, or his good looks, or act like he’s a god in bed..Nope not her, never her. Except, you silly girl, you have no idea who you're dealing with! He is THE Chase Gentry. He is going to take what he wants when he wants, and the sad thing is that anyone would let him, hell I would get in line!

No matter how much I didn’t want it to be true, Chase had gotten to me. I understood it was futile to think about him the way I was thinking about him. It would mean wishing he was different than he was, and wishing he considered me as something more than a challenging place to stick his dick. But briefly, when Chase had first circled his arms around me, before we were both overcome with lust, I had melted under his strength, his resolve. Now all I could remember was how good, and how safe, it had felt to be in his arms.

So imagine everyone’s surprise when these two people, from two very different worlds, begin dating. It a shock to everyone, and his brothers, or shall a I say one brother in particular decides that she is not the girl for him, and isn’t very quiet about his distaste for her. Everyone knows that you don’t chose who you fall in love with, if she’s the one she is the one, no matter who approves or disapproves. In the end, it’s you and him and maybe you're both against the whole world.

Chase didn’t skip a beat although he was gentle when he ran his hands over my shoulders and down my arms. “I want to know what it’s like to fall asleep with you, sweetheart. I want the privilege of waking up with you in the morning. I want to hold you, I want you to be mine.”

So now he’s bewitched, he can’t see anyone but her, and it’s just as well because she has been cast under his spell and I don’t think she wants to wake up.

Chase Gentry was amazing. He was gorgeous and strong, protective and brilliant, humorous and loving. He could also be stubborn and arrogant, demanding and crude. He wasn’t perfect. He was better than that. He was mine. I loved him. And suddenly I needed to show him how much.

It seems that they are meant to be, but it’s not as easy as that. Everyone has secrets and some secrets never come to light, but others are exposed in the most hurtful ways, and when it does, do you throw in your cards or do you call their bluff?

I have to say that it took me two days to read this book, not because it wasn’t good, but because I wasn’t ready to say good bye to these Gentry boys. It silly I know, but I feel like I’ve known them from the beginning, and saying good bye sucks, but it’s also very rewarding. For us to see how they blossomed from the three triplets hell bent on trouble and never thinking they deserve the love that is shed upon them; to three triplets filled with hope, dreams and love, unconditional love that they have deserved since the beginning!!! So very satisfying!!!

One of those unreadable books for me. I promised myself not to make rushed judgements about books based on five pages or less, but what about those books that you just can’t keep reading? This was one of those, I simply couldn’t read anymore after 20-25 pages. So boooooooring.

Eppure…

Loved Chasyn, absolutely LOVED him. He had me cackling so many times with the things he came out with, Santa in his birthday suit will never be the same again lol.

I wasn't sure about Steph in the previous book and also at the beginning of Game, but oh man what she went through sure did explain why she was so stand-offish.

A brilliant addition to the series and a great catch-up with Cord and Creed. I am now anxiously waiting for Declan's story and am hoping so much we get to know more about Michael ...... pretty please Ms Brent with a cherry on top ;)

Scoppiai a ridere. «Nessuna ragazza riesce a prepararsi in cinque minuti».

«Come?».

Lui sorrise debolmente. «È latino. Vuol dire “Sognami”».

A presto.

Okay, so I loved this book so much I am compelled to write a quick review about it resurface from my slump of not reviewing books.

There is almost nothing negative I can say about this book. Stephanie kind of irked me at first because of how stubborn and closed off she was, but once she let go and went all in with Chase I loved her. Which is saying something since heroines frequently annoy the hell out of me. She completely turned herself around and came out of her shell, but it didn't feel fake. She still had some of her social awkwardness and wore her beat up sneakers when dressing up for Chase. Amazing what love can do!

Now on to Chase. Oh my, what a fine male specimen he was, *sigh*. He was one fine, sexy, alpha man. I don't even know how to describe him, he was just such a perfect idea of a Hero for me. Sexy as sin, funny as hell, charismatic, absolutely lovable, and his relationship with his brothers brought tears to my eyes. That may be what was the most lovable thing about him: how loyal and caring he was with his brothers. I've loved the brothers loyalty and love for each other through out this whole series, and it was especially touching reading about it with him considering his troubled past and issues in the previous books. He never lost his humor and light heartedness. Even his crude comments didn't detract from my feelings for him.

I'm slightly heartbroken that there aren't more books about the brothers. Cant I have my own Gentry all to myself?!? I mean really, what the fuck. I'm ruined for regular men after reading about these gorgeous, perfect men.

Declan's book better be just as amazing since my expectations are so high after reading about these Gentrys. I never want this series to end, and I have a sinking suspicion Declan's book will be the last. Why God, Why?!?!?!

We finally get a book for Chasyn Gentry in this latest installment of Cora Brent's Gentry series. After reading book 1 in the series (Draw), I was anxious for Chase's story, even before getting a story for Creed. Despite Chase's role in the Gentry brothers' first encounter with Saylor, his carefree attitude and snarky sense of humor endears him to the reader early on. After reading about the childhood that these boys had to go through, and the physical trauma he had to endure after being attacked in book 1, I was dying for a happy ending for Chase.

Stephanie Bransky was more of a tough nut to crack. Her character was pretty different from other female characters that I've read about recently. The reader doesn't know all of the details of the humiliating incident she went through that happens in book 2 (Risk) until a good deal in this book, but once you find out, you can't help but admire her strength of character. She relies on herself and is reluctant to let Chase, the ever-joking player, charm his way into her panties because she recognizes his power to hurt her beyond repair.

Steph and Chase's road to each other is bumpy, with each of them keeping secrets from the other. That's what kept me reading until 1:30am...waiting for the axe to drop on their secrets and hoping that their relationship can overcome them. I couldn't put this book down. While the focus of each book is on a different Gentry brother, the series should be read in order.

I'm anxious to read Declan's book and can we get one for Michael (Steph's brother) too? LOVE this series and can't get enough!

Well, I didn't expect to love this book as much as I did because Chase is the ultimate playboy and he never considered a commitment to love for himself.

And then, there's Stephanie.  We never really knew what was going on with her.  She is Truly's roommate and was always very secretive and private with her life.  She kept to herself, dressed down, no makeup, and was pretty much seen as a "bitch" to everyone who got in her way.  There's a reason for all this.

When Chase shows an interest in her, both of his brothers are skeptical and feel this may not be a good thing.

Stephanie's shyness and very low self-esteem made her even more likeable to me.  She was a real person, dealing with some crazy issues in her life, and had also suffered some horrible losses.  Chase came through though.....he became the gentle, caring man I didn't know he could be.  Don't get me wrong, he was still sarcastic, funny, and vulgar, all at the same time!  But that's what made Chase Chase.

Didn't expect for things to go the way they did with Chase, but I completely understood how one addiction can turn into another without even realizing it's happening.

Another great storyline and yes, once again, I am swooning over all of the triplets and their awesome relationship with each other.

I love that about these books by Cora Brent......each storyline is unique in its own way that it sucks you in and you can't stop until you're finished!  Great series!

I have big love for the Gentry boys...they are sexy, dangerous, dirty-mouthed brothers who are EVERYTHING to each other. Two of the boys, Cord and Creed are off the market when this book begins and the lone single player standing is Chase. I felt a certain connection to him especially...the recovering addict who got clean from his pill addiction just before it was time for brother Cord's wedding to Saylor. Creed's girlfriend Truly was roommates with Stephanie, a college student/former bookie who got involved with the wrong people and because of her compassionate heart, made a business decision that cost her dearly. When the boys all head to Vegas for Cord's wedding, Stephanie is dragged along by Truly, against her will, and when she is put in close proximity to Chase, the hot, bad-boy who she has secretly been crushing on (and vise versa) it is game on.
What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas and when some steamy fun goes down, nothing will ever be the same.
Back home, everything changes and two damaged and mis-trustful souls find they have more in common than they thought. Cord and Saylor settle in marital bliss and receive some wonderful news, while Truly and Creed deal with a few rough patches but ultimately all have an HEA.
Cora Brent's storytelling has taken on a more mature tone with this book...don't get me wrong, it is still funny as hell in parts, steamy and sexy beyond belief (the Vegas elevator and hotel room scenes will stick with me for a while) and has that playful, fast-paced banter that makes reading her books so addictive.
It also touches on the subject of addiction...which comes in many forms, from sex to drugs to gambling and how some people are born with addiction in their make-up, while others are able to overcome the urges and not be affected by hereditary or their environment growing up. Chase desperately wished for a relationship with his mother, while Stephanie lost her father to a lifestyle he could not control.
I loved that both Chase and Stephanie were complex and interesting individuals...one could be dirty and lustful in one breath and then sweet and honorable in the next, while the other was emotionally fragile yet so loyal and loving at the same time and together they were exactly what each other needed and a strong force to be reckoned with. They were also written speaking from their own POVs in alternating chapters so some of the action over-lapped, yet it wasn't repetitive but more clarifying...I really appreciated getting to hear what they were going through in their own experience.
I really loved this book so much that I hated when it was over...it was romantic, mysterious, dark, and emotional. Cora Brent was able to make the reader feel like "they" were falling in love with Chase, reminding us how it felt to be with someone who really "did" it for you, while fearing for the mental and physical health of the characters you can't help but care about. Her descriptions of the various addictions and the problems of relapse and substituting one for another were spot on and anyone who has lived through it or suffered a childhood filled with dysfunction would understand how realistic this story was written. It was an excellent addition to the Gentry Boys series and one I will always remember.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Chase & Stephanie's story. The 3rd Gentry brother-Chase to get his story told. It starts off in present time, but Cora Brent gives enough background on Cord's & Creed's story-that this could be a standalone. I do highly recommend Draw & Risk. Before Game came out, I was surprised that Stephanie was the h for "Game". Chase and Stephanie are so different. I still love their story and for the most part, really like Stephanie. Chase is the most outgoing of the brothers. Chase just loves to tease too serious Stephanie. Their attraction is almost immediate. Neither of them seems to ever have had a real relationship before. Chase is very experienced sexually and Stephanie isn't the usual type that she goes for. Stephanie is not a big boobed bimbo that Chase is usually with. A small boobed heroine whadda you know? She's Truly's roommate but has been very distant and secretive in the previous book, Risk. Chase seems to be tempted by the challenge. They both go to Arizona State Univ & are in a class together. Both are very book-smart intelligent. I enjoyed their story and any conflict seemed to be worked on- not running too far. There were 2 or 3 things that I wanted to see resolved- but just seemed to be put on hold. Creed has a fairly large supporting roll in this book. He has conflicts with Stephanie and Chase & them being together. (Creed is the most angsty- surly of the brothers- Truly handles that very well, IMO). There is an HEA including an epilogue, but there's a couple of details that I wanted wrapped up since this is the 3 brother's story. There's some great scenes with Saylor and Cord The first 75%-80% was the best for me. The Gentry cousin Declin's book is due out early (I hope) 2015. I'm going to read that book too.
Thanks for the recco JLC ^_^

We left off at Cord And Saylor’s wedding in Vegas Stephanie was invited by her roommate truly who was dating the middle Gentry Brother so that is how she was here. Stephanie was brought up in a world of money and gambling and with it came heartbreaks with her family when she lost her mother and Brother in the same week. When her Father is arrested and they lose everything it is when she takes off to find a fresh new start in college she knows who Chase Gentry is has always watched him from afar and thought he was out of her league.
Chase Gentry is at his Brother Cords wedding in Vegas. The Gentry Brothers have had A Rough upbringing and Been through so much abuse and they were also known for causing some trouble as well. So it wasn’t a surprise when he sees the women he has been wanting since he meet her through his brother’s girlfriend Truly plus he has been watching her in college. He has his demons that still haunt him but he wants to be with Stephanie , will she come around ? they say what happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas is it true with these too?
I was gifted this book for my honest review and i am such a new big fan of Cora's Books

This book imo did not live up to the first two books. Sadly the story didn't flow or engage me as the first two.
I adored Chase' character in the other books and couldn't wait for his book. Sadly the heroine was not what I would have chosen for him or the story. Speaking of the story, drama was made but not fulfilled Stephanie in a jam, bad people brought up, an estranged brother just shows up and supposedly is going to take care of said baddies annnd the end!! I guess we the reader will just make up what happens next. 2.5 sad stars because the first two books were so good and this was just disappointing in comparison. I'll check out the next book out of loyalty to the first books. Fingers crossed!

Game is the story of the last Gentry triplet, Chase. Chase, the youngest of the three is a funny, irreverent, smartass who makes jokes to hide his issues. The object of his unrequited desire, Stephanie, is his polar opposite. She is withdrawn, secretive, on edge and often downright hostile. It is definitely not love at first sight which made the story far more interesting. Chase and Stephanie have great chemistry and after a few false starts really get into each other. But each of them has a secret that could mess up everything they are trying to build. I enjoyed this story but Creed is still my favorite Gentry at least until cousin Declan's book comes out next year.

I had another chance at a ARC from the author again and it amazed me again how much more the boys grew in this book. I'm a sucker for a filthy mouth but add in a dirty joke that makes me fall over laughing you have a winner.

Steph and Chase both had their demons and watching them go through everything broke my heart. Together they changed for the better, I can't wait for another story from her! She gets better every book!!

I would like to take a moment and give a special thanks to cora brent for taking pity on me and giving me another gentry fix for a honest review.

Please if you have the time and enjoyed the boys this book won't disappoint.
