After reading so many 4 and 5 star reviews, I thought that this would be an incredible story. Unfortunately, for me, it failed to deliver. As others have pointed out, there is no angst or conflict ANYWHERE in the 300+ pages of this book. In fact, the book seemed to lack any plot or purpose. I kept wondering "what is the point", as I trudged through this seemingly endless story.
Don't be fooled by the blurb for this one. The sum total of every story element described in the blurb has been revealed by 5% into the book. After everything is out in the open, the story continues aimlessly and tediously describing Logan and Gemima's abundant sex life.
I love a good sex scene as much as the next girl, but the story is more important. Otherwise, the sex is just empty and gratuitous, which is exactly what happened with this story. Between the sex scenes, the pages were filled with inconsequential descriptions of mundane daily tasks. Then, it was back to whispering sweet nothings and more sex.
While the sex scenes were "okay", they weren't anything spectacular either. Perhaps they would have been better if I felt even the slightest connection to the characters or story, but sadly, I didn't. Nothing about this story stood out in a good way for me.
Additionally, I had a hard time believing that the main characters were Americans in Paris. Their dialogue seemed to have strong British influences, not American. It just didn't ring true.
Overall, I give it 2 stars. The writing was decent, with only a few grammatical errors noted. The story itself was lacking. Lacking plot. Lacking conflict. Lacking nearly everything but sex. If I had to read any more sugary sweet pillow talk, I might have barfed. It was just too much to handle.

This was a sweet romance with a slow simmering love story. While this was a pretty lengthy read and slow at the beginning, about midway I simply eased into a very comfortable stress free read and realized it was refreshing to have a story without all the angst and drama. Just two adorable characters falling in love in the most passionate and erotic journey. For fans of sizzling love scenes.. fans that want a lot.. a smorgasbord of those scenes. . this one is definitely for you. While I really loved this author's articulation and intense description. ..I would have been ok with ..less sex lol. Nothing at all wrong with the scenes .. really erotic and sexy. Simply put this a stress free love story.. and the sweetest hero I think I've ever read. 4 solid stars.

Gemima is just separated from her boyfriend after discovering that he cheated on her.
Logan, who fell in love with Gemima the first time he saw her two years ago, hears the news and invites her to lunch. During this lunch, Gemima also falls in love with Logan. Thus their story begins.
The story is set in Paris (I really felt like being in Paris), which is ideal with a hero so romantic, charming and HOT, really hot! Gemima, is spontaneous, has a straight-talking which can be very funny. They are emotionally and physically (that is an erotic romance, so yes there are lots of sex where we would like take the place of Gemima – hum- whistling) connected.
Not having the time to write this before reading an ARC of She part 2 (yes okay, I preferred to jump on my reading rather than taking the time to write – read it, you will understand me ;) ), I can tell you that you should definitely read this book because the second part is even better :)
Oh yes, I put only 4.5/5 rating as a result of the french in the text. There were a few small mistakes. I offered my corrections to Annabel who will make the changes. So if there are errors, it will be my fault :) Seriously, with the changes made, it is a very good 5/5 stars !!!!

L’histoire se déroule à Paris (j’ai vraiment eu l’impression d’y être), ce qui est idéal avec un héros si romantique, charmant et HOT, vraiment hot ! Gemima, est spontanée, a un certain franc-parler qui peut être très drôle. Ils sont émotionnellement et physiquement (c’est une romance érotique, donc oui il y a beaucoup de sexe où l’on prendrait bien la place de Gemima –hum sifflote) connectés.
N’ayant pas eu le temps d’écrire ceci avant de lire un ARC de She part 2 (oui bon d’accord, j’ai préféré sauter sur ma lecture plutôt que de prendre le temps d’écrire – lisez le, vous me comprendrez ;) ), je peux vous dire que vous devez absolument lire ce livre car la 2e partie est encore meilleure :)
Oh oui, j’ai mis seulement 4,5/5 comme note à cause du français dans le texte. Il y avait quelques petites erreurs. J’ai proposé mes corrections à Annabel qui va effectuer les modifications. Donc s’il reste des erreurs, ça sera de ma faute :) Sérieusement, modifications effectuées, c’est un très bon 5/5 stars !!!!

If you’re looking for a zero-angst and zero-conflict book, look no more. She is the longest book I’ve ever read that didn’t have any actual conflict in it. It’s probably also the only book I’ve read ever that has almost zilch conflict.
***Spoiler Alert!!!
The only scene that can be considered as having conflict is one in which the heroine’s ex-douchebag throws a tantrum at seeing the heroine move on with a new man (the hero). It wasn’t a particularly long scene and really only a few pages in this 350+ page book.
Don’t get me wrong! This is a sweet romance of two people finding true love in the city of love (Paris). The hero is awesome (if a little boring) and the heroine is freaking hilarious. I mean, she’s really funny.
My only complaint with Logan is that he’s more beta than alpha hero. Not that I don’t enjoy a good beta hero, but the story would’ve been more interesting if Logan had stolen Gemima from her known-douche boyfriend when he first fell in love with her. Instead, he waited years for them to break up on their own (ex-boyfriend cheats on her). I’m not saying the heroine should’ve cheated on her ex with the hero, just that the hero should’ve wooed her away.
The reason the author probably chose to title this book She Part One is because Logan and Gemima’s story will continue on to another book. If the next book is also long and conflict-free, I’m not sure that I’ll read it.
This book ends with the happy couple about to go away for the weekend to one of the hotels the hero’s company built. It promises to be a romantic getaway. It’s not really a cliffhanger ending in the traditional sense since there isn’t anything suspenseful or interesting happening at the end.
However, there is one small conflict that promises to play out in Part Two of She. Logan’s family is about to visit from the United States (both the H and h are Americans living permanently in Paris). Logan’s brother hates him because Logan was an asshole teenager when they were growing up. When Logan’s parents, his brother and his brother’s family arrives, I expect the brother will act hateful towards Logan and Gemima will stick up for him and help prove to his family that Logan is no longer the terrible person he was as a teen.
Hopefully, the second book will have more conflict than just that. Basically the plot of Part One was them meeting, falling in love (or falling more in love in Logan’s case) and being in love.
On one last note: I love the cover of this book (the pink one, not the original).

5 Crazy Ass Stars!!!!!
I've said it once and I'll say it again! I love discovering new authors! Annabel Fanning is my latest find. Ok, she actually found me. Lol.
SHE is a great love story with one Crazy Hot leading man, Logan. Logan has most definitely made it onto my BBF list. I love Gemima and her "smart mouth". Her and Logan's characters are so easy to connect with and their chemistry is sizzling!
The sexy scenes were tastefully written but still have that extra little sexiness that's sure to leave you fanning yourself.
I can't wait to read Part Two!

If you're looking for a story that will make you smile and not throw your kindle in the wall because the characters are too complicated, this one s for you!
Logan and Gemima met at a work event two years ago.
But Gemima doesn't even notice Logan, while he is completely captivated by her. Unfortunately she is already in a relationship.
Two years later Gemima's single, Logan doesnt waste a minute and contact her.
What will follow is the sweetest love story.
They're in their own little bubble, enjoying how the other makes them feel. They have sex, plenty of sex. They are happy, really happy.
I liked this book, but it was SLOW. I was waiting for something to happen. An event that would shake them a little but nada.
I guess it will happen in She Part 2.

A beautifully written love story. No angst, no heartache, just a wonderful story. Love all the characters, especially the two lead characters, Logan and Gemima. Loved Logan's honesty and his pure love for Gemima, love their chemistry, hot, hot, hot. Straight in to book 2

SHE is without a doubt the most magnificently touching and extraordinarily inspiring story that I have been privileged to read. Its emphasis on the old adage – the best things come to those who wait – just sealed the deal for me. You do not often find a story whose heart aligns with your own secret hopes and dreams. I can’t say how wonderful it feels to find a story whose characters never take for granted what they have found and will fight with everything in them in order to keep that which has turned their world upside down and realigned their stars forever. This story feels like a dream come true, and I couldn’t help but find myself sighing quite often along this spectacular journey.
Gemima is emerging from a long and unfulfilled relationship that ended in ruin and pain. She is determined to not lose herself ever again and strives to find out who she is and what she wants. Fate had taken pity on her and showers her not only with the job of her dreams but offers her a man that exceeds all of the desires of her heart. While she isn’t looking for another relationship, she finds herself captivated by the mystery and beauty that is Logan Leavy. He is not a stranger to her as they run in the same work professional circles, but she hadn’t ever taken notice of him as she does now. In her own words, she tells us that it was like everything before meeting him was dull and dreary and now all she sees around her are vibrant colors and life abounding like never before. Life is better, work is better, her heart is finding out what it really means to love and be loved. He knew that if he had any chance to win and keep her, he had to lay all of cards out on the table and hold nothing back. She needed to see him for who he was and through that he could show her just how much he was willing to make a relationship between them work. Because he had nothing to hide from her, he was then free to concentrate on showing her in every way possible just how precious, beautiful, and worthy of love she was.
Annabel Flanning is a spectacular author who pulled at all of my heartstrings with this incredibly breathtaking story! This story portrays the deeply ingrained desire in all of us to truly love and be unconditionally loved in return. We are all worthy of being loved. Every last one of us longs for it with every part of our being, and to deny anyone that chance is tantamount to treason against all that is good and pure. This captivating story has stolen my heart and secured a place on my bookshelf of all-time favorite stories. I can’t wait to read the next part of Gemima and Logan’s exquisite love story!

March 5, 2018I'm sorry but I can't continue! I'm half way through and all I seem to read are sex scenes and how much she thinks he's hot. There doesn't seem like there's a story line other than him waiting for her for two years and taking advantage that he has her now. Im no prude, just look at my books but this is just too much and I thought Beautiful Stranger was porn in a book.

Gemima is somewhat of a free spirit who says whatever's in her head and heart, while Logan is more quiet and observant, seeming as if he's more than happy to watch Gemima and enjoys how she reacts to new experiences. Logan is the kind of man you want to spend forever with and when you get to know him here and in the sequel, you can't help but wish really hard that he actually existed. He sets the bar extremely high when it comes to book boyfriends and Logan Leary has joined the ranks of my all-time favorite BBFs.
The story is told well enough, though I do think that the writing would have benefited from some tweaking in terms of editing because of one-time and repeated errors grammar-wise. I also noticed that Gemima and Logan are Americans yet sometimes use colloquialisms that are more British. Overall, though, I did enjoy the actual love story, even if the sex scenes did seem to be overly plentiful, and the eclectic cast of characters kept things interesting even with the lack of conflict. So we meet Gemima, who from the first page, I just connect with. She's hilarious and such a strong independent woman despite bring poorly treated by her then boyfriend, Jerry. Gemima has lived in France for 8 years but can't shift her American twang or hilarious attitude. I simply adored her.
A phonecall from Logan Leary to Gemima Samuels would be the making of the pair. Logan is one of the most genuine people, so trusting, adorable and romantic. Despite him having his own problems he is the most brilliant unassuming man. I admit I fell for him a little bit :)
Within a short space of time the two are together, in every sense of the word. Emotionally they are connected from the very beginning and we see that develop.....Physically!? The pair are hotter than hot. Where do I start? The ottoman, the syrup, the glass, the gift from friends?! Oh it's up there on the steam meter.
As for the story, it's brilliant, it's well written and I loved that each chapter was written to a song...it just flowed brilliantly and I read through it in 48 hours because despite three children I couldn't actually put it down. I now can't wait for part two because I have so many unanswered questions! I can't wait to read the second installment of SHE and get my answers.

Gem understandably was devastated and left Jerry straight away, but here's where the story gets interesting.
Newly single and feeling much better after she's got rid of Jerry, gemima gets a call from an old work colleague she met vaguely at a party, his name is Logan Leary.
Logan is in construction, and he is the top dog in his field. He is know for being ruthless, but getting the job done right every time. His reputation for his work is outstanding, but work is his only passion, until Gemima re enters his life. He's loved her since he first cast eyes on her years ago, and has never gotten over her. His plan is to woo her, and make her his, but he wants it to happen naturally, he's waited two years for the love of his life, he's willing to wait a little longer.

This book was a lovely romance story about two people who fall madly in love extremely quickly, and gives you a glimpse into their lives in Paris. Gemima is a woman who had been cheated on by her long time boyfriend and ends up moving out, and changing career to escape her mundane life. Then on the other hand, we have the sexy Logan who is a sweet-hearted, loving, sometimes rogue American gent. He is the man every woman dreams of and wishes they had.
The story it's self was a little slow to begin with, but the cafe scene was hot, and you start to get a feel of both the characters. But as the story progresses, you get sucked in with the intense feelings and hot sex scenes. If you love a lot of sex in a book, then read this. Their connection is hot, immediate and loving and it shows you how love can feel and play out.
The storyline behind Logan asking Gemima to meet him for lunch was adorable, and the whole idea that he'd waited for her was so incredibly heart-warming that you won't be able to stop yourself saying 'awwwww'.
The only problem for me was that there wasn't much of a plot as such, there could have been more involvement from the ex-boyfriend who wants her back, or a little bit of drama that pushes their feelings for each other. But that's just me.
It's a lovely read and you get lost in Paris with the sweetest man on Earth and Gemima and her hectic job and crazy best friend! It is a nice Summer read that'll have you wish you were in Paris with them.

Logan has waited two long years to be with Gemima. As soon as he had found out Jerry and her broke up he called her immediately to ask her to lunch. She is everything he remembers and he still feels that pull he had felt the first time they met when she was still with Jerry. He is not letting her slip away without giving it a go with her.
This is the first book in the series and I have to say it left me wanting more. As the reader, I felt like Logan and Gemima’s story had more to it. These characters were very lovey dovey throughout the whole book and it could make you jealous that you don’t have a relationship as perfect as theirs.
This book has so much explosive sex that it is completely worth reading just for that. The author knows how to make you sweat when reading them. The many varied positions and techniques used will definitely keep your imagination going long after you get finished reading the book. I would recommend this book for someone who wants a good erotic picture for most of the book.

I loved this book; it was sexy, funny and kept you going all the way through the entire story. Logan’s and Gemima’s characters were built perfectly. They were both strong, independent and have a “smart mouth” with a very little filter; perfect American implants in Paris. When these two are together it is like another side is brought out of them and the chemistry is perfect.
I did not want to put the book down. Every time I thought something bad was going to happen or it was going to slow down, things spiced up with a hot sexy scene and/or their wittiness and smart mouths kept it interesting along with their amazing friends. This book had me wanting more and left me with so many questions. It definitely kept my imagination running with all the possibilities, I cannot wait for part two.
I highly recommend this book to read if you want something to keep you on the edge of your seat with the suspense of what is going to happen next and hot erotic scenes. It is going to make you want more and keep your imagination going.

So as soon as I knew this book was set in Paris, I wanted to read it - Paris always attracts me as I find the descriptions really draw me in and make me want to be there, She is no different!
I absolutely love Gemima, she's so funny; always having conversations with herself so she reminds me of me!
Logan is a dream boyfriend too, with a dream apartment to boot.
Logan has been besotted with Gemima ever since they met at a function a few years ago but Gemima was already attached (to a bit of a moron) so he just waited, and waited... And she finally came! (In more ways than one...) The attraction was magnetic from the off, from the very first meeting, and I was just egging them to get it on as the tension was unbearable! Logan is the perfect man in the bedroom (and out of it too). All through the book you just want these two to have a happy ending - even though you just know it's going to happen anyway!

After reading the first teaser of She I was curious about the book. I looked up Annabel Fanning and read the synopsis and knew this was a book for me. I got lucky and the blog I help on was asked to give a honest review of this book.

I love Logan and Gemima, she's got such a smart mouth you can't help but adore her! And Logan, sexy as hell Logan is addictive. After the first chapter he hooks you and you cannot put this book down until the very end.
I am still a bit mixed on him, I'm not sure if it's sweet or obsessive/stalkerish that he spent two years pining for a woman he met once and waited for his chance. I think the hot sex overrides any concern about it being a bit creepy though, he's un-freaking-believable in the bedroom, or shower or against a window etc.
I love all the characters, especially Gemima's best friends, the mirror thing was pure genius!!
She #1 is well written, will keep you glued to your kindle not wanting to stop until the end, and then the end makes you anxious for the continuation of their story. Can't wait for #2 so we can see where their relationship goes.

She! OMG! This book is awesome. Here we meet Gemima and Logan. I really enjoy this book and the love story of Gemima and Logan. Logan it's been in love with Gemima for 2 years with out Gemima knowing. Gemini just recently broke off with her ex Jerry after Jerry confessed that he cheated after being together for 8 years. After Jerry confessed Gemima moved out and found a better job. Logan finds out that Gemima and Jerry are no longer together and decides to schedule a lunch meating with Gemima. And that's how this story starts. This story tells you to never give up on love and that true love always heal and makes you feel alive, makes you smile, makes you feel passionate, and secured. There's only one problem: this is part 1 & it leaves you hungry for the next step, the next setting, the next progression of this relationship which can only be alleviated by reading Part II. So, come on, Annabel Fanning, give us all of Logan in Part II!

SHE by Annabel Fanning 4.5*
I thoroughly enjoyed this book from Annabel Fanning. It is a love story, pure and simple and it was close to perfect. I absolutely love the characters - Logan is just gorgeous: a real sweetheart who loves absolutely and Gemima with her smart mouth is someone I can see myself being friends with. It's really beautiful watching their relationship grow in leaps and bounds and the sex scenes are omg so hot! The story itself is impeccably written and the only thing I found distracting was that some of the dialogue and slang was a bit more toward Australian/British rather than American which is where the main characters are originally from. Overall this was an outstanding read and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

A brilliantly superb debut book.
This was one of those books that hooks you from the first page and keeps you turning the pages, even when you know you should be doing something else. I found myself sneaking in chapters on my phone whilst at work and I stayed up till gone 3am finishing it.
She is a well written love story that flowed beautifully and the Sex scenes were seriously hot.
The characters were written in such a way that the reader feels a real connection with them. Logan is one sexy man and Gemima is strong and independent (with a smart mouth).
This is a real love story. Sensual, sexy, well written (and well edited) and witty.
I absolutely loved it and cant wait for part 2... I highly recommend this book.

I loved this book! This is the first book I have read by Annabel Fanning, but will not be the last. This is a love story in every sense of the word. It captivated me from page 1 and didn't let me go even at the end because I get to look forward to part 2. I can't even call it a cliffhanger at the end because it really doesn't leave you hanging, except for wanting more of their love story to unfold. Logan is one of the sweetest and sexiest book boyfriends I have ever read. Gemima is everything I want to read about in a romance. The characters were easily relatable and found myself often fanning myself with their chemistry. It was in one word Hot! That Logan had waited so long for her to be free just makes him the best ever! If you get the chance you should read this book!

This was a great book! The characters were well written and in felt like they were my friends. Logan was a sexy construction mogul and was very confident. Gemima was a beautiful woman both inside and out; she was also very funny. The chemistry between Logan and Gemima was instant and undeniably strong. It was pretty much instalove for Gemima; Logan had been waiting for two years for her to be single so I wouldn't say it was instalove for him.
This book was sooo well written and edited! I love Ms Fanning's writing style. Oh and it has super HOT sex scenes. If you like an erotic love story, you need to oneclick She! I look forward to reading more from Ms Fanning.

This book wasn't for me. I started it. Abandoned it for a few weeks. Came back to it. Abandoned it again. Finally finished it just to see if there was more to the story. There wasn't. Much of it rubbed me the wrong way, but it's obvious other readers have enjoyed the book, and that's great. *I* couldn't find a plot (was there a conflict???? was there anything other than polite, uninspired emotions???). It was just frothy, happy sex. Also difficult to get past the so-called ex-pat Americans living in Paris with highly British dialogue. Americans wouldn't speak that way and it was awkward in many spots. Also - worth getting this book edited again.
