A Novella of approximately 114 pages, Drake Restrained 2 continues the story of Drake and Kate. It includes all new material as well as scenes from The Agreement as told from Drake's point of view.
Summary:
Drake Morgan, MD, Neurosurgeon, bass player, philanthropist – Dominant.
He doesn't do girlfriends, he doesn’t do sleepovers, and he certainly doesn't do breakfast in bed the morning after. He has his surgical slate at New York Presbyterian, he has a charitable foundation providing surgical tools to hospitals in Africa, he has his Brit Invasion cover band, Mersey, and he has his secret life as a Dominant in Manhattan's BDSM community.
Into bondage, D/s and the occasional dungeon scene, Drake keeps every part of his life separate, the divisions between them neat and tidy. His weeks are filled with surgeries, music and D/s sex, and none of the well-planned and scheduled parts of his life intersect.
That is until Kate McDermott crosses his path and screws everything up.

Warning: This is a companion novel and should be read after you’ve read The Restrained Series.
Drake Restrained (Part 2) is just what I needed. I swear, Dr. Delish is the sexier, smarter, version of a certain Dom we all grew to love. I loved getting into his mind and reading his thoughts on the one sub he just can’t get enough of.
In Part 2, we see Kate and Drake’s love story from his POV starting with her finding out that he is the Dom that she was going to interview. You see Kate’s resistance and Drake’s unwillingness to let her get away. We end on a bit of a cliffhanger when Kate says she cannot enter their relationship for his sake.
Even from this small section, the reader just knows that Kate is different from all of his other subs. He doesn’t woo them as much as he does Kate. He is totally different, and Lara, his boss can see that in him. I will admit, had I read Drake’s POV before Kate’s, I don’t think I would’ve liked her as much. But, I love the two of them together from the previous novels and their chemistry is off the charts.
I have read a lot of BDSM novels. Yes, this one is on the lighter side, but it is also the best written. I love both Kate and Drake and the journey that these two take. I am hopelessly addicted to this series and cannot wait for more.

DRAKE...the all time Hot, Hottie, HOT DOM!
Can this get any hotter? When I read the complete series of UNRESTRAINED series, I was in awe, utterly! I was so sad that it was over I was left feeling bereft. So engaged with Kate McDermott's conflicting emotions I was so sure there'll never be any book out there more consuming than this.
Enter...DRAKE RESTRAINED, hearing from Drake's POV somehow rendered more meaning, consuming, juicy and intriguing, in other words, beautifully written!
The incredible passion that ignites within Drake every encounter with Kate, so exquisitely painful that shoots straight to his "jetty" and keeps him in perpetual "attention" ;) He's so consumed with his indescribable desire all he can think of is pho king Kate. His desire to make Kate his sub sends him in a frenzy of carnal thoughts, arousing and sinfully dirty things he would do to her, with her, to seduce her and make her his. Hearing all this from Drake sends me in a tizzy, phew, it's so hot here! Can't help daydreaming of a man like Drake, my all time hottie!(sigh!)

Really loved reading this story from Drake's point of view and seeing what makes him tick. Oh, Drake, how do I love thee...? Anywho, know that Drake Restrained can be purchased/read as one whole book that is Drake's point of view of the first book in the Unrestrained series. I say that because I guess the publisher or someone saw a way to make some more money and broke the first book--Drake Unrestrained--down into four small novellas. So be careful when you are buying the book--there's one whole book that's 428 pages. . The three books are Drake Restrained, Drake Unwound, and Drake Unbound. I've seen Drake Restrained, Drake Restrained 2, Drake Restrained 3 and Drake Restrained 4--these are all parts of the same story... Drake Restrained. Trying to see if there's a fourth Drake book, but I'm not sure...

*4.5 Hot Dr. D Stars!*
Drake Restrained 2 - The second installment of the companion to The Agreement, from Drake's POV. Love to hear what makes him tick. In this book, the reader gets more insight into Drake's intentions when it comes to Kate. The reader also gets to relive the night at the concert through Drake's eyes. I definitely enjoyed this novella. If you liked The Agreement, and Drake, or if you feel you need to better understand him, I recommend this book.
Note: you should read Drake Restrained 0.5 first or at least The Agreement (the full story from Kate's POV).

Love this series! This book picks up after The Agreement and after The Commitment, but it's Drake's version of The Commitment. There's very little of BDSM. It's as mild as you can get with a blindfold and being tied up. But Drake says over & over that that is all he's about & a control wannabe as well, but again a mild controller at that. There's a friend trying to separate the happy couple and the obstacles to stay together. At times I wondered if Drake was a major control freak in hiding. Would he physically hurt Kate? Then there's the surprise child & ex wife coming back into the picture. I loved reading his version because you learn who Drake really is. A good read through the series.

Loved the first book and just had to read the next hoping it would be as good. And once again I was compleatly hooked and couldn't stop reading it. So now I am off to read part 3 of Drake and hopfully find out more around the characters and the story. :)

This installment spent a bit too much time on the inconsequential details and not enough on the characters interacting and beginning their relationship. Just a slower build than the first that left me slightly disappointed. Still enjoy the series and likely to read the next one.
