She’s not the ending—they are.
Book 5 – The Final Battle Begins

The gods are no longer sleeping.
And Kaelara is no longer mortal.

War erupts across Seudoree as divine chains shatter and ancient powers rise to claim the realm. Kingdoms fall. Magic fractures. Shadows flood the skies. And at the heart of it all stands Kaelara Veylin—marked by fire, claimed by shadow, and worshipped by a god who would raze the heavens to keep her.

She was once a symbol of rebellion.
Now, she is divinity incarnate.
And every god left standing wants her blood.

But Kaelara is no one’s weapon.
Not anymore.

To save the realm, she must embrace the full truth of her power—even if it means becoming the very thing the gods fear. Even if it means unleashing the one bound to her soul.

Kaelen.
The god of shadows.
Her balance. Her undoing. Her mate in every way that matters.

Together, they will rise.
Together, they will burn.
Together, they will end it.

For romantasy readers who

Rea Alexandris

Rea Alexandris lives in the vibrant city of Brussels with her husband, their three lovely children, and an endlessly curious cat who seems to have stepped straight out of one of her stories. Surrounded by the blend of history and modernity that Brussels offers, she finds inspiration in the whispers of ancient legends and the magic hidden in everyday life.

A lifelong dreamer and avid reader, Rea Alexandris has always found solace and adventure in the pages of fantasy novels. Writing, for her, is more than just a creative outlet—it’s a way to explore the complexities of human emotion, the beauty of resilience, and the power of hope. She believes fantasy allows us to confront real-world challenges through the lens of imagination, where courage and transformation become possible for anyone.

Currently, she is immersed in creating The Chronicles of Aeryndor, a sweeping epic that delves into forbidden magic, rebellion, and the personal journeys of characters caught in the struggle for freedom and self-discovery. The saga is more than a story; it’s a testament to the strength found in embracing who you are and fighting for what truly matters.

But her storytelling doesn’t stop there—Rea Alexandris already has two more sagas outlined, ready to take readers on new adventures in richly imagined worlds.

When she’s not crafting stories, Rea Alexandris can be found chasing after her children, wandering through the streets of Brussels for inspiration, or curling up with a cup of tea and her cat, plotting the next twist in her tales.

“There you are, the forge girl who wouldn’t bow, or even to a god.”

“Power taken is a chain, power chosen is a vow”

“ some believe love is a weakness gods cannot afford. They’re wrong. Love is the only power worth wielding, the only chain worth choosing, the only magic that truly transforms.”

Ugh just some amazing quotes for you to think about that I loved so much that I hope peaks your interest enough to go read this amazing series. After five books we have finally made it to the end and I have been here since the beginning and it was so bittersweet to finally make it to the end.. or is it the end? Anyways.. five books and my heart is complete but also heartbroken for certain characters. The final battle has started with the gods, will they come out victorious or will they build something new? You’ll have to read to find out and let me tell you it was perfection. Who knew gods could have such funny personalities as well. Now Evric still pissed me off in this book but he came back around towards the end I’ll give him that. Also new character alert zaz and she is a hoot. I wanna be apart of her drinking parties. Now my babies! My babies! Kaelen and Kaelara ugh my entire heart I love them so much. Shadow god every day no contest to the other men she had in her journey. He is everything. He is perfection in its darkest form. This was one of the best series I have had the privilege of reading and being apart of. Sorry not sorry for blowing up your DMs Rae. You gave me all the feels, all the heartbreak again, all the baddie females! You gave me everything I needed and I couldn’t be more proud of you and all that you have produced!! You did the dang thing and you did it so amazingly! Now everyone go add this to your TBR because if you haven’t started this series what are you even doing! A shadow god. A flame bearer. Women in power. Vengeful gods and battle. What more could you ask for?

The Phoenix War is the explosive ending to The Chronicles of Aeryndor series and my jaw has been left on the floor. This thrilling story took my emotions for a ride from the banter that would have me giggling to the dramatic moments that were absolutely tear jerking and totally destroying. These characters have gone through so much already and what they go through in this book is another level. There were moments that gave me heart palpitations and I’d be holding my breath with a lump in my throat since things were getting so intense. There’s tense drama, heartbreak, plenty of twists, great banter, and a very sassy shadow daddy. It’s tragically beautiful and an emotional ending for a great series 🥹

Let me start off by saying wow.

Book 4 left off in such a cliff hanger and that I was BLOWING up the authors DMs demanding the next one.
This book was soooo good. The character growth for Kaelara and Kaelan was 👩‍🍳💋.
And Zaz is honestly my favorite person now. (Don't tell Adyn.) she honestly bring so much energy and personality to the book.
Although I am a little salty still about what and who was killed off.😭😭
Anyways, this book has war, love and a shadow god that ONLY bows to his women. You need to read this book. I am kinda sad that this is the end of this series, but so excited to see what else Rea has up her sleeve.

This one made me want to punch a couple of the characters and it also made me tear up. There were a handful of genuinely beautiful moments here. These characters overcame so much chaos, and the stakes were incredibly high - this is what fantasy is for.

A few generalized, non-spoilery statements:

The journey with Dain is real.
Mirena begins and ends the worst.
Adyn begins and ends the F*CKING BEST.
And Zaz is a delight.

Very glad to have read this series. And to think I found book 1 in a random Stuff Your Kindle event!
