"Someone tapped on my shoulder and I bunched them, shrugging off the touch with a grunt. I wasn’t in the mood for company. The light tap returned and had me spinning around angrily ready to plant my fist straight into a face. “What the fuck do you wa...” The words died in my throat, my eyes locked on twin chocolate brown orbs that I knew better than my own blue ones. I was struck dumb, stump stupid, unable to form words, just staring, trying to get my head out of my ass."

Hard edged 22 year old up and coming MMA fighter James David Walker had it all four years ago before he destroyed his fledgling career and one of his closest friendships.

With the help of his best friend Matt, JD has slowly begun to rebuild his life only to face another stumbling block, the return of Kylee Grace Parrish. The one woman he vowed to protect from himself and his demons. Will JD lose it all again or finally claim what he’s always wanted but never believed he deserved?

The perfect blend of drama, sex and love!

After experiencing loss and abuse in his youth, MMA fighter James David Walker (JD) is determined to make something of his life. Through the support of his best friend Matt, JD is close to making his dreams a reality. Though JD has had to fight for everything he has, he struggles to see his own worth as a person, and to accept that he deserves happiness.

Enter Kylee, JD's feisty, former best friend, that he purposely cut off so that she could have the life she deserves...except now that she's back, she's not about to let him make decisions for her again. Kylee has matured into a sexy young woman with just enough sass and a whole lot of heart...and she's just what JD needs.

The character development in Caged is great and the storyline is equally realistic and gripping! What's unique is that author K. Pars doesn't overdo JD's backstory in a way that makes you pity him...because JD wouldn't want that! But it's more than enough to pull you in and make you feel the emotional ups and downs that the characters face. And to top it off, the author does a great male POV.

If you enjoy reading about stubborn, sexy, and protective men, whose loyalty and love are unbreakable, then Caged should be your next read.

I cannot wait for the second book!

I think I am in love

Best mma book I have read in awhile! JD is swoon worthy. Hot can't describe this character. Loved how the story was told in the guy's point of view.

I really tried to enjoy this but it was too male centered. While I do actually appreciate an author who can get in the mind of the male character and do it realistically, this was just too much. The hero lacked any subtlety or class and he just made himself unappealing by talking about all the chicks he banged etc. Also we get it he has lots of tattoos. Say it and move on. “He covered up his tattoos. Water sluiced down his tattoos. Chicks loved his tattoos.” I love my tattoos but I don’t talk about them THAT much jesus. I just got really bored by that and turned off of the hero and I needed something to hold my interest more than this did on my train trip. DNF.

Loved it from hero's POV.

I love it when a writer can write a good male POV, and this was a good one. The storyline, background story, and writing were good. The only problem I had was the flatness of the heroine. I could never get a real connection with her. She was totally one dimensional. Dialogue was really minimal with her, and I truly think her character could have been fleshed out more with more dialogue if not alternating POV.

I'm having a hard time with this one. I feel like it's pages and pages of narration in the hero's head, and then a few lines of dialogue and back to being in the hero's head. Tons of info dumping on his background and stuff. Just can't get into it.

I can honestly say it did start out slowly in the first two chapters setting the tone but then it revved right up, speeding through the rest of the book. I loved it had an actual story and wasn't just sex, sex, sex. I can't wait for the next in the series.

DNF

I couldn't finish this book. The H was all upon his own head a lot...constantly talking about his uncontrollable anger and his need to fight. And the constant over use of "nah". The h was constantly going off and whining. Every conversation was a fight.
