Queen, a Well Earned Title
First, I need to admit that I didn't read the first book in this duet before picking this up. I honestly thought I had, but I was mistaken. That said, I am familiar with this world and many of the characters from other books which helps. While I have every intention of going back to read 'Torn Souls,' there are enough details that I was able to easily pick up the pieces and thoroughly enjoy this read.
This fivesome, Oaklynn (Little Bee, Zolotse, Solnishko, Sweet Girl) Chambers Volkov, Kirill Volkov, Maxim Volkov, Baker Dalton, and Huck Cardenas, are a force to be reckoned with in and out of the bedroom. I absolutely love it!
I love Oaklynn's soft heart and steel spine. She bows to no one. Not. A. Damn. Soul. At the same time, she works hard to make the world better. Adding to this are the insecurities that Baker displays and guilt from others for different reasons and how she does what she can to quell them. She's undoubtedly admirable. I may have developed a girl crush. 😍

TANGLED SOULS is Book 2 of the Bratva Souls Duet. This was the thrilling conclusion to Oaklynn's story. She and her 4 hunks go up against Mikhail, but he will find her spine is steel and her 4 men will burn down the world for her. This book was hot with lots of smexy group activities. I loved it!.

I LOVED this duet!
We have mafia ties, alpha males x4, a queen that’s hidden under a demure facade and enough spice to set your kindle alight!
I absolutely devoured these books, I was entranced from the first page to the last. It was so beautifully written, I find some reverse harem stories can be a bit much on the spice and not enough on the storyline but this book had the perfect amount of both which made for a fantastic read.
I really loved Oaklynn, she deserves so much happiness after all she has had to deal with. Living in a man’s world where her worth is measured by looking pretty and having babies and yet she still managed to carve out something for herself. She knew how to play the game but underneath she was strong, independent and fearless and I just loved her.
Our alpha males, Kirill, Maxim, Baker and Huck what a group or is it Harem? brother husband? Anyways these 4 were such a solid unit. Each brought something to the table whether it be in the relationship or at work. I loved just how far gone these guys were for Oaklynn, one meeting and they were ready to burn down the world for her. They didn’t try and cage her, they actually encouraged her, listened to her and protected her even though they knew she could protect herself.
She was their queen not some dutiful wife.

The Volkov Bratva is sooo ready to finally deal with Mikhail, their nemesis. They had already taken care of his father, Anatoly. Now, we see some of Mikhail’s side of things in this book and he is freaky and scary. I found myself chewing on my nails and had to turn the AC on because stuff in the book had me so worried and nervous. Oaklynn is now married to Kirill Volkov (officially) and Maxim, his brother as well as Huck & Baker. They are celebrating at the DSMC Clubhouse with the members and their significant others. As well as Kirby and her men, Wolfe (Baker’s brother), Dominic & Hendrix. From the previous books & series, I saw all of them grow into powerful people and they all work together to stop human trafficking. But, it is Oaklynn that seems to have grown the most. She impressed me so much in this book. She is my hero. Knowing that she would be considered ‘weak’ in that world, she has talked the men into sparring with her. Let me just say wow! The book is fun, funny, scary, romantic, steamy, hot, and a whole bunch more.
So much happens in the book. I honestly don’t know how the author fit it all in. The book perfectly paced as well. I think this book is now my fave by this author. There are a lot of parts in the book where it could’ve gone wrong, but everyone works so seamless together, I adore it. I wish these books could become a tv series. lol. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this world.

What a way to end a duet!! Everything I mentioned I was wanting in my first review? We got it in this one and more! Group activities? TONS of it! This one was so steamy and I was here for it. Revenge and tying up loose ends? Oh boy did we get that as well and Oaklynn is a complete baddie when it comes to protecting herself, her chosen family and her men and what they’ve built. This was so satisfying to read and I loved every minute of it. I also stand by what I wrote from the first book, more why choose need to be like this one. Communication and pure love and nothing but from start to finish. I LOVED that they didn’t play games or hide anything from each other, they were all in from the start. And that first page of the first epilogue? Whew that was something and I was here for it! Was some parts predictable? A little, but then there were others that I wasn’t expecting. This was another well written story from Ember Davis and I cannot wait for more in the future. Maybe Pax and Reign?!

This is part two of a dark and delicious duet. Do know your triggers. I enjoyed watching as Oaklynn grow into herself and become the woman you don’t want to underestimate. Their bond strengthens and Kirill, Maxim, Baker, and Huck will do anything for their queen. There is intensity, sizzling sizzle, darkness, loyalty and love as they overcome evil. Good read.

Book two of the Bratva Souls Duet, so you need to read Torn Souls (Book one) for it all to make sense.
Trouble is brewing, and about to come knocking on the door as Mikhail becomes more unhinged and desperate to bring down our four alpha MMCs Maxim, Huck, Baker and Kirill.
But desperate times, call for "desperate" measures only Oaklynn is far from desperate she's an underestimated, highly intelligent and self assured FMC who knows how to handle herself.
We see the relationship between Oaklynn and her men bloom under the circumstances. And we finally get to see the culmination of their hard work to bring peace to the Streets of Seattle.
Brilliant 5 star read, loved it being a duet as it built more suspense and Ember definitely used it to her advantage. High spice and angst were the perfect mix for this Bratva Romance.

This is the second book and the conclusion of the Bratva Souks duet. My review is really 3.5 stars. I did enjoy this duet and you’ll love it if you like mafia romances with some insta love. There is definitely action and the spice is scorching. Oaklynn continues to prove herself to be stronger than what she portrayed herself to be in the first book.
I don’t feel as though I really connected with the characters much though. There was just something missing from this duet that I can’t quite put my finger on. I almost feel like while I have no issues with insta love, it feels like there was a connection missing between the characters themselves. I would still read more books from this author in the future.

Seriously…the first one, Torn Souls was good…but this one???? Gahhhhhh!!!!!

This was a fabulous conclusion to the series and I love how it all came together. You definitely need to read book one of this duet before diving into this book. Oaklynn continues to amaze me. She's so fierce and strong...and a surprise to her enemies ;P Her men would burn down the world to protect her and I love that support for her. Of course, we have Mikhail to be dealt with so you know there's going to be drama ahead ;) Expect a well paced and exciting story filled with action, danger, drama, humour, twists, romance and hot spice when you crack this one open for a fab reading ride. So good!

This is the second book of the Bratva Souls Duet! It is a dark bratva/ reverse harem romance. It contains 1 female character Oaklynn who loves her four men and Kirill, Huck, Baker and Maxim who all love their wife to the point of obsession. One of my favourite quotes is "They’ll find out quickly that I’m not the weakness they probably assume I am." It is Oaklyn describing her quiet strength. The storyline is fantastic and I adored the characters and though I am not a lover of dark romances, I did in fact enjoy this one.

Cheating? N, but it’s a Why Choose/Reverse Harem
What I liked- there was a lot of action and a lot of zexytime. Both were well done. Plus there was a decent plot. I thought Kirill was a very good character and very distinctive, and I enjoyed seeing Oaklynn come into her own (she’s the queen, y’all).
What I did not- Maxim was kind of all over the place while Baker and Huck were cardboard cutouts (The Muscle and The Hacker). None of the three were interesting enough to enhance any part of the story (except acting as extra bodies for the zexytime scenes).
3.5 stars.

This story is darker than what Ember Davis usually writes and she has done a terrific job at defining the world, characters and story-line.

This is book two of Tangled Souls and Oaklynn has finally married her men. But she is also their weakness, at least her men think she's their weakness. But Oaklynn is stronger than they think and will prove it to them time and again. Oaklynn makes this book and I loved it. It's fast paced, steamy and hot with a perfect ending. I will say this is a true dark mafia romance so please read the warnings/triggers.

I love that all their enemies completely underestimate Oaklynn and it costs them dearly, they pay in blood and in pride as they face Oaklynn, before paying with their lives once she passes them over to her men.
It is dark, dangerous and deadly, but it is also deliciously steamy, filthy and depraved....I LOVE IT!

I received this as an arc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This was a good why choose, bratva romance. It was the second part of a duet and I felt quite similarly about both parts, it was a good story but it missed that something extra to make me love it. The characters were interesting and I really liked Oaklynn in this part as she really stood up for herself, but I still missed a sense of connection between the characters. So for me it was a good story but not one that I loved.
This was a good why choose, bratva romance. It was the second part of a duet and I felt quite similarly about both parts, it was a good story but it missed that something extra to make me love it. Tangled Souls is book 2 in the Bratva Souls duet and picks up Oaklynn and her men's story where Torn Souls left off. Their journey is intense, consuming and dramatic and will absolutely leave you breathless! Oaklynn is absolutely FIERCE in every sense of the word and with her men beside her builds an empire completely unshakable. They struggle, seriously who doesn't, but together they're as unbreakable as they are unshakable. Their story is all about love, survival, loyalty and family. An absolute must read! Just be sure to check the trigger warnings before you start reading.

This is a perfect conclusion of the Bratva Souls Duet. They have a bit of drama while dealing with Mikhail who took over for his father but he causing Kirill, Huck, Maxim and Baker lots of problems in Seattle. Mikhail thought he come after Oaklynn (their wife) and use Betty (the receptionist for Kirill, who get fired and put in her place by Oaklynn), he has another thing coming. It is full of action and definite page turner.

While her men love her with all they have and her back she’s not allowing them to treat her like a weak woman. She will set any man or woman for that matter straight and with the grace of a queen. I love these five, the love and the way they support each other is amazing. I loved the suspense and seeing their relationships develop further as they dealt with roadblocks! Ember’s books are great, I’m going to have to go grab some others, starting with Wolfe, Hendrix, Dominic and Kirby’s story.

This is the second half in the duet, Bratva Souls, Oaklynn has married her guys, but she is still in danger. Oaklynn is not the shrinking violet that needs to be rescued by her guys, she is not planning to cower while Mikhail is still out there. She shows she is more than capable to protect herself, she is with them not for protection because she wants to be.

This is the conclusion of Volkov bratva and their sexy wife. Kirill, Maxim, Baker and Huck have married Oaklynn and are loving their personal lives. Ending the threat from Mikhail is priority number one after their wife. Yes this book gives us the HEA we know is coming with an Ember Davis book but we still have every twist and turn along the way and it’s a wild ride you won’t want to put down. I’m sad to see these characters’ story end.

This is book number 2 of the Bratva Souls Duet and focuses on Krill, Maxim, Baker, Huck, and Oaklynn. This book is a continuation of the events that took place in the first book. In this book, we see SO much growth from all of the characters, but especially Oaklynn. She truly found her strength and her place in life. I absolutely loved every minute of reading this series. This was an excellent story and a fantastic addition to the series.
