"Deceived" is an experience that no one should have to go through but if it happens, know this, you will not be the first and you will not be the last. This book is about a woman who seemingly married the man of her dreams. As the pages of their lives began to turn, deception and a whole dark and secret life revealed itself. If you ever find yourself in this type of relationship, better days are coming your way. This is why "Deceived" was written; to let you know that you don't have to fall apart, but you can stand up and be strong. Just know that whatever you go through, it is not the end of life. It was only to make you strong and to know that if God before you, He is more than the world against you. At times it can be easy to be deceived by someone you once thought had it all together physically and mentally, only to find out it was all a lie. My brothers, my sisters, take heed and don't be DECEIVED!
a good book for a quick read with a powerful message.
the message in this book is essential, and it is not often talked about, which is deeply appreciated that keisha mayo decided to write this book. it takes a lot of courage to write a testimony of this intimate level and publish it for the world to read.
however, there were things in this book that were a bit underwhelming. some misspellings and repetitions that, at some point, were confusing and unnecessary. some characters appeared, and they did not fulfill a role how i personally would have liked; it was a bit upsetting reading the same actions from these characters and giving absolutely nothing.
it was lovely to have met the author herself and got this copy to read this book. its plot was promising, perhaps i got simply disappointed along the way.
