Rachel Johnson, wanita dari kalangan "The Community". Adalah sebuah komunitas masyarakat terpencil, yang mempunyai kebiasaan-kebiasan kuno. Dimana kehidupan mereka jauh dari peradaban dan teknologi modern. Tinggal jauh di pedalaman.
Linc Monroe peternak dari montana. Suatu hari datang ke pekan pelelangan alias penjualan hewan ternak. Untuk membeli kuda-kuda liar dari wilayah pedalam. Untuk di latih menjadi kuda yang jinak.
Sebagai mantan juara pemain rodeo, linch pensiun dan membeli lahan peternakan. Bekerja membiakan kuda dan melatih kuda-kuda dengan bayaran yang sangat mahal.
Dalam pasar pelelangan hewan ini lah dia bertemu dengan Rachel. Dimana dia sedang di lelang. Merasa iba linch menawar Rachel bermaksud membeli untuk membebaskannya.
Tapi justru niat baiknya membawa petaka. Karna dia tidak punya pilihan lain membeli berati menikahi. Tapi Rachel justru merasa bahagia karna mendapi Linc yang membelinya.

So I loved this book but I’m still going to rant. Loved the writing style, and how fast paced it was.
But towards the ending I was rolling my eyes so bad, it still made for a great read.
Marrying Jack a second time? Why? He was annoying enough the first time lol
But yes he’s a sweetheart and they could have spent that time showing love to each other or maybe getting their clothes off😂😂. Why did they need that second marriage exactly?
That was a great time for great spice not all the tears and pregnancy that followed 😭😭
Also Meg was such a self righteous prick and Jack honestly needed to grow up.
Everybody needed to self reflect and realize they needed therapy, honestly 😂😂😂
Still loved the book and looking forward to reading anything by Carol Devine

Buku ini cukup menarik. Mengisahkan bagaimana seorang cowboy tampan modern, yang terpaksa harus menikahi seorang gadis dari komunitas yang terbiasa mengasingkan diri dari kehidupan modern.
Linc, sang cowboy, awalnya hanya menikahi rachel karena terpaksa dalam sebuah acara lelang. Tanpa disadari ternyata pernikahan tersebut akan menjadi pernikahan yang sesungguhnya.
Bahasa yang digunakan dalam novel ini sangat mudah dimengerti hingga novelnya jadi tidak membosankan.
