A heartwarming, closed-door romance full of second chances, small-town charm, and a holiday season that just might change everything. For fans of slow burns, festive feels, and cowboys with hearts of gold.
We are taken to Rustler’s Ridge where in their teens, Rosie Dawson and Kitt Chapman were HS sweethearts. Kitt abruptly broke up with her and disappeared, leaving Rosie confused and heartbroken. Little did she know that the real reason he did it was to allow her to spread her wings, even if it destroyed him. Nowadays, Rosie works in a high stress accounting consultant firm and Kitt has been working in prestigious ranches in Texa that focus on tourism . His dream is to own his own ranch. When Kitt’s father gets injured and Rosie’s sister is about to open a restaurant, these two find themselves back home to help their families. Seeing each other, had feelings resurfacing, but family comes first. As Kitt deals with the family ranch, his teenage brother’s troubles and Rosie deals with family and the stresses of work, will these be able to navigate it all and maybe realize that they still belong together? This was a sweet, touching story about new beginnings and second chances in life and love. Though this reader had only read book 1 in the series, this is a stand alone. I was entrusted a copy of this book . The opinions expressed are solely my own.
I enjoyed this second-chance romance as Rosie and Kitt come face-to-face under unusual circumstances. It would almost seem as if the universe conspires against them as winter weather brings about disasters, and added to this is the suspicious behaviour of Kitt's younger brother. However, nothing is as it seems, and when the chips are down, more than one truth is revealed. One thing is certain: in spite of their differences, Rosie and Kitt still make a good team; they just need a little prompting to see it for themselves. The novel, which is a standalone, comes to a sweet conclusion. I received a copy of this romance as a gift, and this is my honest and voluntary review.
I loved Kitt and Rosie’s story. High school sweethearts, they are reunited when Rosie returns home to help her sister launch the new restaurant. Both are trying to contain their feelings which are just as strong as when they were teenagers. I love the resolutions for their individual problems. Working together can resolve so much. Wonderful story. I received this book from the author and this is my voluntary, honest review.
I enjoyed this second chance story. Rosie and Kitt were too young the first time but they've both lived and learned and are at a crossroads in their lives. Loved the characters and their family and friends!
A second chance at love and happiness. Rosie and Kitt were meant to be together but her dream was in the city and he was a cowboy. Ten years later she is back in Ridge for Christmas and the moment they met again the feelings resurface. Can they have a future together? Great love story
