"A good chef can throw seemingly random ingredients into a pot and create something delicious. On rare occasions, fate does the same thing with hearts. With the right combination of elements at just the right time, a couple can fall head over heels in love. That being said, blending two lives can get messier than any kitchen and also a hell of a lot harder to clean up."
Molly's food truck took Austin by storm, and she's got more prospects than she knows what to do with. Her crazy ex is out of the picture, and she's moved in with her gorgeous boyfriend, Joe. She and Joe rarely see one another, and when they do, their time is squandered arguing. Molly's anxious to break this cycle because the tension between them is literally making her sick.
After years alone and shattered, Molly has reawakened a part of Joe that he was sure couldn't be revived. He's terrified of losing her, but their combined baggage makes every step forward seem littered with landmines. Molly's more than worth the fight, but she shouldn't be the one he's constantly battling. A master carpenter by trade, Joe has restored countless treasures which seemed beyond repair. He's determined that he and Molly won't be the exception.
Fate kicks in the door and rocks them to their very foundation. Boundaries are tested, tears shed, and Molly and Joe will question everything they think they know about themselves and each other.
L.G.Pace III has spent several decades pouring creative energy into other things besides writing. He began his current journey by telling his two daughters bedtime stories about a magical realm and a hero named Terel. Though that story is still sitting unfinished in the electronic universe he has managed to bring many other stories out of the dark maelstrom of his mind for others to enjoy.
He dwells in the great state of Texas with his wife, novelist Michelle Pace and their children.
This book takes you smack dab in the middle of Joe & Molly's relationship. The ups and downs and the ins and outs of their struggles. They know they love each other, but to make it "work", that's what they need to figure out. Then throw in a couple of monkey wrenches and what a whirl wind of a story. My favorite line in the story: "You've heard of people having walking pneumonia? I was in a walking coma. Then she was there, and it was like I'd been struck by lightning. She shook me awake, and I promise you, it was nothing short of a resuscitation".
I read the first book on a whim, and I've been hooked ever since! Reading about how Molly and Joe are continuing their relationship and everything that gets in their way and helps them out...I can't even say enough about this book! I loved it and cannot wait for the final installment!! Great work!
A few months ago I picked up a book titled Good Wood. I thought, hey, this looks like a light and fun read. Boy, was I wrong. But I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved the book and the characters. In Mollywood, the second book of the series, we get reacquainted with Joe and Molly.
Molly is still running her thriving Wrapgasmic food trucks and Joe's carving business, Good Wood, has really taken off. The couple are living together and still trying to adjust to the ups-and-downs in their relationship. Fate has other plans in store for this couple, though. As if their coupling didn't start out tumultuously enough, throw in some drama and meddling family members, and you have yourself another great read!
I adore this couple. A-D-O-R-E! Not just the fictional one, but also husband-and-wife authors, LG Pace III and Michelle Pace. The stories they create are so real and heartfelt. Mollywood was a great addition to this series and when I reached the end, I was surprised to see it wasn't an end at all; we're getting more of Joe and Molly soon! Just to clarify, it's not a cliffhanger, rather a Happily For Now. And I, for one, cannot wait to see where their story takes them next.
Good Wood was such a beautiful, unexpected book that reading (and loving) the follow-up, Mollywood, seemed like a no-brainer. I had high hopes, and L.G. Pace III and Michelle Pace not only met them, they exceeded them. This book was as beautiful as the first – and it gave me all the good feels.
Molly Hildebrandt and Joe Jensen are living together, and both of them have seen their businesses grow exponentially. Life should be perfect, but with work keeping them apart and their constant bickering, it’s enough to make Molly sick and Joe scared of losing her.
They are determined to make this relationship work. Joe loves his quirky girl and just wants to keep her safe and by his side. Molly has put her past – and her psycho ex – behind her and loves being with her sexy carpenter.
But breaking the cycle of arguing isn’t so easy. Especially not when fate throws a spanner in the works, and they find themselves facing an uncertain and unexpected future.
Argh, I LOVE THIS SERIES. I couldn’t stop talking about Good Wood after I read it and Mollywood is no different. It’s. Just. That. Good. This story was exceptionally – and seamlessly – well-written by two authors, and had me laughing, sighing, shaking my Kindle (as a substitute for these characters who sometimes should have known better) and crying. Sometimes all within in a few pages.
Joe... Oh, sexy Joe. I love his gruff exterior, and he showed excellent growth from the first book. He’s not perfect – what man is? – but he is perfect for Molly. Who is, in turn, perfect for Joe. I loved them together. I loved their happy moments and their sad. I loved their (sometimes) misplaced anger and their willingness to make it work. The only thing I didn’t love? That it had to end.
I hope to get more from this series – and not just the upcoming Heartwood, which I’d like to be opening right about now. There are so many wonderful characters here that could, and should, get their own stories, starting with Mac and Kelly. Please make that happen!!
Mollywood is the second book in the Carved Hearts series and should be read after the exceptional Good Wood. No cliffhanger. ~ Beth, 5 stars
First of, let's get one thing out of the way, Carved Hearts is one of my top series of all time.
So Mollywood is book 2 in the series Carved Hearts and we met Molly and Joe in Good Wood. The story continues from not exactly where we left off in book 1. It's months after book 1.
Molly and Joe like every couple that come together are struggling to find a niche for each other. They fight and they annoy each other but their love for each other never comes into question.
While all this is happening the BIG SURPRISE is reveal and I could not be more ecstatic or more scared. I mean it's a blessing yet at the same time is it the right time. Well it seems they don't have a choice. Joe being the guy he is made me wanna scream. His reticence and his inner monologues frustrated the heck out of me, I wanted to go up to him and SHAKE him. Wanted to tell him that it was okay to think all these and then some. But finally I shed tears of relief at the family get-together.
Molly was just as frustrating as Joe, her thoughts made me wanna weep harder. And I wanted to wrap her up and tell her that she is sooo wrong. But these two beautiful souls did have a rough life and it's not really hard to understand why they think the way they think. It's just sad. And then the whole cemetery scene was sooo heartbreaking. God!!!
Joe and his father, then the white Christmas and the whole scene after. OMG!!! It was soooooooooo pretty and beautiful and perfect. When all things were going well and things have calmed some, the call came and my world shattered. I had to stop cause I wasn't sure I would survive like Joe. And then the cemetery scene again and I read a few lines and I wanted to throw my Kindle.
So if you are curious at this point to find out if Joe gets his girl, Molly, go 1-click the book. And if you haven't read book 1, then what are YOU waiting for it's ready to be added into you ever growing book collection. Oh btw it's free at the moment.
For me Mollywood was a solid gold star of beauty and heartache. I want Joe to have his girl. I want Molly to find her prince charming. I want happy when the outside world is chaos.
Les & Michelle once again have outdone themselves and not disappointed! I fell in love with Molly & Joe in the first book in the series, "Good Wood" and have been anxiously awaiting the release of "Mollywood" and it was everything I had hoped for and more.
In "Mollywood" Molly and Joe are back to share with us their new relationship and all that comes with that. And then suddenly, there are some twists thrown into the mix. It would seem that fate had some ideas of it's own for Molly & Joe. In addition to running two very thriving businesses, their world is about to get rocked in a major way....add in each of their own insecurities due to past heartaches and relationships, meddling family and friends, and you've got a story that you don't want to put down.
What I really love about these books is the fact you would have no idea it was two authors writing them...they flow seamlessly and you can't tell where one author ended and the other began. The Pace's have worked out some literary magic in their writing together and that is a beautiful thing. I am on pins & needless for book #3. I know it will be another must read! I can't wait to see where Molly & Joe (and really Les & Michelle) take us next.
Carved Hearts is a fun series following the romance between Molly and Joe. By profession Molly owns/operates a food truck specializing in wraps having much success she owns multiple locations. Joe is a wood carver, restoring furniture pieces and creating intricate designs, also owns the business. You would want to read Good Wood first before getting wrapped up in this fun couple. The first book is about their love growing from silly teenage girl crush on her brother's friend to a mature relationship and a second chance. This sequel continues with their story in a very real way. Not the usual angst business of losing faith in each other or someone offending the other and they separate for a bit. Never these two, their love is strong and deep and getting deeper by the page. As a follower of this author duo I was given the huge opportunity to beta read this book. If I hadn't already fallen for this couple I would have now. Besides the romantic storyline you might want to take notes on the wonderful food discussions, don't read on an empty stomach. This story ends beautifully with the option for a continuing story and possibly more from Molly's brothers. Enjoy!
I say it again and again #TheWorldNeedsMorePace and I am telling you The Pace's have delivered yet again with "Mollywood"! I loved it. It was a perfect followup book to book 1, "Good Wood" and I cannot wait for "Heartwood". Their writing is so cohesive and smooth that I forgot I was reading a book by 2 authors. Definitely 1-click this book and if you haven't met Molly and Joe yet, then 1-click "Good Wood" too and settle in for a range of emotions and fall in love with "The Carved Hearts Series".
I didn't know it was even possible to fall more in love with these characters... Also I was ready to kill lg pace when I got towards the end! I was so frightened! I honestly thought the worst was happening. Pace DEFINITELY knows how to keep you on your toes
Is there really such a thing as HEA? In this second book in the Carved Hearts series you find yourself asking that questions. Molly and Joe continue to try and leave their past behind but the past is not that easy to let go. You will laugh and cry right alone with them as they face unexpected trials and blessings. This is another part of their story that will grip you and hold you until the end!
Molly has concerns about how her relationship with Joe is progressing. She has demons from her past that leaves her with feeling of insecurity and poor self-worth. Even though Molly is a successful business woman and entrepreneur she does not see the Molly others do. It is difficult for her to understand how Joe in all his gorgeous male self could want her forever, especially since his first love was the perfect beauty. Then the unexpected happens, she is pregnant! How will Joe deal with another chance at being a parent and partner? Then to top everything they are dealing with, he tells her they will get married, like she is a burden for him to assume! That really caused Molly’s demons from her ex-husband to resurface.
Joe’s whole world revolves around Molly. He realizes that she is his true love and that what he had felt before was the idea of being in love with someone, not really being in love. The past continues to haunt him with flair ups especially when they find out that Molly is expecting! Can he be the man she needs him to be? Will she be able to see how he feels about her? Or will he drive her away with his need to be with her all the time and in overprotective mode? How can he show her how he feels about her and the new life they have created together?
When Joe and Molly finally face the concerns they are both feeling things start to change. Even with things looking up, both of them feel an overwhelming sense of foreboding. Can Joe protect his family? Will they find their HEA? Or will the past repeat its self?
Would I recommend this book: Yes. Read this amazing story of the journey two damaged souls take to find each other. It is a journey of love, laughter and yes living!
Would I recommend this author: Yes. I am fascinated with this remarkable series! I could not put either book down until they were finished and now find myself waiting for the conclusion in Heartwood, book 3.
This is the second book in the Carved Hearts series. I could not wait to get my hands on this book after finishing Good Wood. I would recommend reading Good Wood first. I think one of the things I really like about this series is the relatability of the couple. They both have their pasts and issues they need to work through, but they are just regular people. People you could and would be friends with in real life. I love the interaction with all of their friends and family.
Mollywood picks up about eight months after Molly moves in with Joe. Molly’s business, Wrapgasmic has taken off and she has added another truck and more employees. Joe has left construction to focus on his passion, his woodcarving business. Molly’s brother joins Joe in his business and they have more business than they can handle. Everything is falling into place.
Molly is offered a business deal too good to pass up and Joe’s business is booming and with all of their new work commitments and responsibilities, they are finding it difficult to find the time for each other and their new relationship.
And then, the curveball.
Mollywood is another wonderful book by Les and Michelle Pace. It had me smiling and laughing and then tearing up from heartbreak, worry and happiness.
I love Molly – she is a woman. A woman with issues she is dealing with, and overcoming, from her past, but she is also independent, loving, loyal, courageous and spirited, but also has insecurities. She has a hard time understanding why Joe would want her since she is the polar opposite from his deceased wife.
Joe, what can you say about Joe? Joe wears his heart on his sleeve. He is emotionally in a much better place because of Molly. He comes to realize that he has never loved anyone like he loves Molly. His past continues to haunt him, but he has come to terms with it and is ready to move forward and make a life and family with Molly.
So sit back with your Shiner Bock and enjoy Mollywood. I am off to read the final book in the series, Heartwood.
This is book two in the Carved Hearts Series. I gave this book 5 stars.
This is Molly and Joe's story continuing from the first book Good Wood. I would say that you should read book one because it is the beginning of this couples story. BUT I read it as a stand alone. I am sure that I would have connected a lot more with them if I had read the first one.
None the less I really enjoyed reading this book. Molly has everything she wants she and Joe are happy. They have their problems and they are sharing their lives together. But they have obstacles to over come. Feels like things are where they want them to be, but they can't enjoy it .. They don't have a lot of time to spend together and the time they do have they seem to argue all the time. Joe is happy and he has everything that he has always wanted. But they have a lot still to overcome as a couple. Are they strong enough to do it?
Follow this continuing story of Molly and Joe and see if they can get past all that is being laid in front of them. Time will tell what fate has in store for these two. I loved this book and will def be picking up book one to see what went on with them in the beginning of their relationship. <3
I absolutely feel in love with Molly and Joe in Great Wood. They are two of the most real characters I have read in the last few years. The demons they both carry from past relationships but somehow together they work. They complement each other. They give each other rations of shit and it’s awesome. I was very excited that L.G. Pace III and Michelle Pace were going to give us more of Molly and Joe’s story. I was interested to see how they would carry on after the traumatic event in Great Wood. In Great Wood, their obstacle was their pasts. I feel like in Mollywood, it was their love for the other. The fears of what that love would bring to them. The fear of lose, the fear of losing one’s self as well as their past still hovering over them. Mollywood to be was about growth. We watch their love grow for the other but also personal growth. I love that this series is centered around food and restaurants since that is my background as well. I love that they are billionaires. They are down home normal folk. They are funny, hard working people who have what they do because they worked hard for it. The authors still gave us the great supporting cast. Molly’s brothers were still there and I love them. I am praying for a spin off! (hint hint authors) I think this was a great sequel and I will be tuning for more of Molly and Joe even though I am scared you will ruin their happiness!!!
Molly Hildebrandt and Joe Jensen have both been through hell and are together making a better life for themselves. Molly is an extremely talented chef and owns several food trucks. She is presented with an idea to take her business in a new direction - one she never dared to dream. Joe is also incredibly talented in his own right - he is a wood carver and is much in demand. When he and Molly's brother join together to form their own business, their success is almost instantaneous. But with all of the professional distraction, will Molly and Joe be able to find time for each other and their relationship. When a life changing surprise happens, will they be able to face the challenge together or will this tear them apart?
Mollywood is another incredible story that will keep your emotions swinging from sorrow to frustration to joy. I absolutely love Molly - her spunk, her individualism and non-conformity, and her spirit that was not broken despite all that she endured. I love Joe - his integrity, his love for Molly, his willingness to face his demons head on and conquer them. Mollywood is the second book in the Carved Hearts series, and in order to fully enjoy the book, I highly recommend that you read Good Wood, the first in the series, before you begin this. But do know once you start either book, you will be hard pressed to put them down. I cannot wait to read the final book in the series, Heartwood.
Joe was seriously different in this book I'm still trying to digest it all, and I'm not sure if I liked the differentness in Joe. I mean yeah his intentions were good but he wasn't like the Joe we got to know and love from book one, "Joe glanced at my abdomen with obvious amusement and the smallest hint of pride. When he spoke, there was laughter in his voice. "What sounds good?" There were some times when old Joe came out and I loved him, "let's go back home, I have something I want to show you." She blushed at my double entendre and hurried out the door with me." As the book progresses we see both changes in Molly and Joe some good and some bad but there was always that flirting going on which I loved, "did you see the shower in the master bath? All those shower heads?" Her voice had a husky undertone, and I didn't need her to explain what she was thinking." The other thing that didn't change about these two is the way they're always caring for each other Joe sometimes more than Molly, "yes I did. And when you're healed I'll be more than happy to show you exactly how dangerous it is to bait a hungry bear. But until then..." His tone let me know without question that I was cut off." I enjoyed this book and I can't wait to see Joe and Molly in their third and final book.
If you love Good Wood you're going to fall in love all over again with Molly wood. This is a light emotional read. You have a mix of about everything you would want, a touch of mystery / suspense, emotional pull and some pretty hot encounters. The story flows so well that you just can't put the book down.
Molly and Joe have and amazing pull with each other and their love is strong. They have their trouble just like real couples do. In this read you get little more of a look in to the make-up of the two of them. What makes them tick, what has molded them to become who they are. You see more of their fears and joys in life. Let's just admit we all just love there batter between them and everyone they interact with. I fell in love with Molly's feisty, sarcastic attitude from the very beginning. Joe wanting to hold things together and hide from everyone makes you want to take all his pain away. Let’s not let the fool us Joe gives as good as he gets and just has a very interesting appeal about him.
I am totally blown away how this series gets more amazingly hot with each new part. This is one series that has become a keeper from the very start. I want to cry every time when I turn that last page, it’s one of the stories that you wish you never had to put down. Very well written and the flow is so smooth you feel like you’re living the story instead of reading one!
So first I want to say that I'm mad at Michelle Pace. Why you ask? Because she writes a books so good and then just leaves you wanting so much more. Which she promises you. In a third book.
I fell in love with Molly and Joe, not only as a couple but as individuals, in Good Wood. And that love not only continued but grew in Mollywood.
Mollywood picks up a few months where Good Wood left off. And Molly and Joe aren't in the best place. Not where you think they are going to break up. They've left the honeymoon stage. Life has gone on. They have gotten busy. And they both realize stuff needs to change. Priorities need to change. And when they get unexpected news, priorities need to change fast.
I think what I love so much about Michelle's writing is that she makes Molly and Joe so real. They go through stuff as a couple that everyone can go through. And most do. Obviously their backgrounds are very unique. You won't find a lot of people that have gone through everything they have. But their relationship. And a lot of the issues within their relationship are very common. And I love how relatable that makes them. All in all, this is a series I would recommend to everyone. And to me the thing that makes it so recommendable is wanting to just tell the writer to hurry up and write faster. I want more Molly and Joe. Like tomorrow.
After reading Good Wood the first in the Carved Hearts series, I had to read Mollywood. This book picks up with more of Joe and Molly's story. They are living together, and both have businesses that are thriving, so what could be wrong? They seem to be battling each other more and more. Neither of them wants to be in a battle with the other, it just seems to happen. And then fate steps in and throws them a curve ball. We see Joe unravel fairly quickly from the stress in his life. Molly is still dealing with her insecurity issues in being with Joe too. As things start to come together a little more for them, Joe is dealt a blow that seems to throw him back in time to his worst nightmare. The supporting cast in this book, helps the story move along and gives you a better understanding of these two, now semi-broken, characters. Can Joe and Molly make their relationship and businesses both work in harmony? Can Joe move on from his past, and can he deal with Molly's past once she reveals to him just how bad her first marriage was? You have to read Mollywood to get the answers to that. I don't do spoilers! Once again L.G. Pace and Michelle Pace crafted a story that tugged on my heart and would not allow me to put the book down. I cannot wait to see the ending to this story in Heartwood!
I didn't think it was possible for Michelle and Les Pace to top Good Wood but Mollywood has done just that! Although it can be read as a stand alone, I would highly recommend reading Good Wood first. Mollywood picks up right where the reader would want it to... in the midst of Molly and Joe's lovely but complicated relationship. These relatable characters hook you in and their chemistry is palpable. The true-to-life everyday struggles and push and pull with each other ranges from hilarious at times to tense and uncomfortable. While difficult to write a review without spoilers, I will say that an unexpected development forces Joe and Molly to face harsh reality and confront their issues head on. I absolutely loved the story line, and how each and every character reacted to the plot's twists and turns. My favorite thing about Michelle and Les' writing is the fantastic prose. They truly are both extremely talented wordsmiths. Their writing styles, while different, felt seamless and the story flowed beautifully. I couldn't put it down and I'm confident that you won't want to either. Kudos to you, Paces, once again. You make a fabulous team. You guys should really get married or something. Haha.
Following on from Good Wood, and you really SHOULD read that first, we rejoin Molly and Joe a little while after they moved in together. With both of them faced with blossoming businesses, they are struggling. When they are dealt a hand by Fate that knocks them to their very core, can Molly and Joe hold it together enough??
I struggled a bit with this one, although I really enjoyed Good Wood, so I am at a loss as to WHY. Its written the same way, from each of their POV, in the first person, but each chapter is headed as such, so unless you stop in the middle of a chapter, its all good. The plot moves along, the hand that Fate deals comes early, and Joe unravels at a rapid rate after that.
Its written well, I love how you can't tell that its two authors writing these books, you really can't.
I think I just found it all too much. Too much for Joe, for Molly and for everyone else. Too much WHAT, exactly, I'm not sure, but that is the underlaying feeling I got when I eventually finished it, and I very nearly didn't finish it!
They don't get their HEA, quite more of a "we'll be happy for now" sort of ending, so there is another book to come. Whether I'll read it, I don't know.
>I am an independent reviewer. This is the second novel in the Carved Hearts series.
>Molly and Joe are living together and expecting twins. Knowing Joe's past, a reader can see how having yet another woman expecting his children could freak Joe out. Couple Joe's hidden feelings with Molly's feelings of insecurity and pregnancy hormone freak outs and the reader can see the theme of communication coming into play.
>The way Joe and Molly start to bicker, which causes them to start to grow apart, is painful to watch. The split starts very subtle, but the consequences feed into both Joe and Molly's insecurities. Only after the big "come to God" moment towards the end, do Molly and Joe finally get on the same page.
>I was happy to see both sets of family back. The Granny was so ruthless, but I have a relative exactly like her, so I can totally relate. I wish I had a Joe to stand up to everyone, like he did at Thanksgiving. I was cheering out loud!
>This book two does not disappoint. I can't wait to devour the ending book in this series. These characters are fun to read.
>This book is appropriate to be read by an adult (18+) audience due to sexual situations. Most of the sex is implied, but the implications are very hot.
I don't know why this book is so adictive, probably it's because is a sweet romance, anyway there are a few things that I didn't like about it.
This book has a Twilight complex, where the female character over idealizes the male character, and frankly that is really annoying.
Molly is really inmature, impulsive girl taking hasty decisions. She is a bit of a tornado, stubborn, explosive.
Joe keeps trying to overcome his loss, he seems to have evolved more in this book.
Although their interactions are basically the same as the first book, they kept posponing talking over having sex, everything was resolved in a sexual way:
How fucking dare you take my phone from me? I'm a grown ass woman Joe, and - Whatever else she planned to say was lost as I pulled her into a fierce kiss. She struggled for approximately three seconds and then she returned the kiss with equal passion.
Then we have the pregnancy and Joe seems obsessed with being a father, sometimes I felt that Joe was more concerned with the health of the babies than Molly's health.
Right now, you're ignoring your most important responsability, which is to taking care of our babies
They are a nice couple, they are trying to be better, but they are over the top. This was enough for me.
As soon as I finished reading book one, I dived into book two. I don't regret it. I loved it more than the previous one. We got to see the evolution of these characters; as individuals and as a couple. And it's not easy, because they still have things to overcome. Things to let go of.
But once that happens, things start working out for them.
There's a scene where *tiny spoiler* Joe got pissed and, after holding everything inside, he snapped and defended Molly and hoo-boy! Absolute swoon-worthy, Mr. Joe Jensen. Absolute. Swoon. Worthy.
Molly & Joe are fast-becoming a fave couple of mine and I'll be rereading these books, that's for sure. I'm going to dive into book 3 soon. I just... It's going to be good-bye and well, I don't want to say good-bye to them.
The only thing keeping me from giving this book 5 stars - 4 stars, unfortunately - is the fact that there are more typos and wrong words than there were in book one. It kinda took away from the storyline, having to replace the word I read with the one that was supposed to be there, but I still loved it and will reread.
P.S. Certain parts with Joe made me tear up. I just love that man.
Mollywood broadens Joe and Molly's romance and makes it much more solid. They're taking things one day at a time. The biggest obstacle seems to be finding time for each other - Molly has two trucks and an opportunity to expand even further, while Joe has returned to carving and opened his own business. His anger issues seem to be behind him and he's still seeing his psychiatrist. Joe seems to finally come to terms with the loss of his late wife, Jess, and their unborn son, Jack. There aren't as many tears this time. However, both aggravated me at times and I wanted to smack one or the other, but they got themselves together.
I knew going in this was a trilogy, so I'm hoping book three is more about Molly's business taking off and less relationship drama. I want some happiness for Joe and Molly! There is the tinted car that was doing a drive-by, maybe the return of Molly's ex? The annoying bombshell neighbor that can't keep her eyes off Joe and of course, dealing with the big surprise revealed in Mollywood. Hmmm, what complications are in store for these two that warrants a third book?
Molly and Joe have been through so much but they have finally found their way to each other and are finally living together, but things aren't quiet as prefect they want it to be.
With their lives becoming busier and crazier all the time the two barely have enough time for each other and when they do all they seem to be able to do is argue. When they get some shocking news both are scrambling to find a way to patch things up and be there for each other.
Molly is stronger and feister than ever and you never quite know what's going to come out of her mouth she is hilarious and awesome and definitely one of my favorite female leads I've read about!
Joe is always a sweetie and now that he's working through his past he is always trying to think before he does or says something and even though he still has a little bit of work you can always tell how much he cares.
These two together are amazing and I love seeing more to their story whether it's the ups and downs the emotional rollercoaster is so well told that you feel like you are right there with the characters and you are always rooting for them to come out on top!
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
This is the second book in the Carved Hearts series and picks up soon after Good Wood ended. Wrapgasmic had taken off and Molly finds herself working long hours. Joe's woodcarving business Good Wood has more work then he has time for and the couple find that they spend very little time together. What time they do spend together is spent bickering. Joe has really started to come out of his shell in this book. He is so afraid of losing Molly through and tends to be a tad over protective. Molly is still fighting her insecurities and keeps waiting for Joe to dump her and move on.
I love this couple. Their ups and downs are so real to life you can't help being sucked into the book. Meddling family members and friends don't help matters but even though they are both fighting past demons. They both want to make the relationship work and when it would be so easy to run they both step up and try and make things better. Only one more book is in the series and I will be sad for it to end.
This is exactly what a Series is supposed to be like. Mollywood continues where Good Wood left off. When it begins, they've been moved in with each-other for 8 months. I won't give it away but not too long after the books starts, a MAJOR curve ball gets thrown their way and because of this curve ball, because of Joe and Molly's pasts (on both their ends) they end up retreating into themselves instead of eachother and in turn, it threatens their whole relationship and almost destroys them in the process.
Imagine my total surprise when I go on L.G. Pace III's page only to discover it's a man! This series is amazing, truly it is. I love the writing, I love the style, I love the way the series is lined out. Once again, this isn't the usual cookie cutter romance, but it's laid out amazingly. I can't WAIT to see what's in store for Heartwood. I'm officially a true fan!!! :)

Molly and Joe's story continues. They may have finally found their way to each other and accepted that they should be together but when two people with troubled past combine the past is bound to become the present.
Inner demons cloud both their heads, they hardly ever see each other because of crazy work schedules, they are constantly battling over little things. Little things that turn into huge arguments. Then fate see fit to throw them a twist!
This is a great story of watching Joe and Molly work the ins and outs of an adult relationship. Facing choices and dealing with consequences. Realizing that being selfish and keeping secrets will never make a relationship flourish. It all needs to be laid out. Past fears will have to be dealt with and new fears will rear their ugly head.
Take a journey with Joe and Molly! It is worth it!
I found myself on the emotional roller coaster that was Joe and Molly. Being a new couple with past that were not only traumatizing but emotionally scaring is hard in itself but tie that in with an unexpected pregnancy then you have WWIII... That is what Joe and Molly endured. Although they meant well in not wanting to overstep boundaries and cause a rip in their relationship, their non-actions was doing just that.
I was happy when Joe finally saw the light and finally let go and Molly opened up with her bottled fears and past. That was the milestone the couple needed to move forward and be a unit. Just when all is well, tragedy strikes and Joe is left with his worst nightmare.
This is a nice read and will have you yelling at the characters but laughing with them as well.
