I kinda have a love/hate relationship with this series...

I just finished this book, and I'm about to buy #11, so I guess that means I like it. But there are plenty of things I DON'T like -- I guess I just feel like I'm too invested in the story to stop reading now! My issues -- 1) will this series ever end???? The plot just keeps getting crazier and crazier -- almost like a soap opera -- and there's no end in sight! 2) has gotten VERY predictable 3) sometimes it's hard to follow along. The author will jump ahead in time, but you kinda have to figure that out on your own. 4)sometimes the author will have a mini cliffhanger/drama happen at the end of a chapter, and then it's never really talked about again. Like in this book, at one point a character is concerned about a fire, and then she smells smoke!!! Oh no!! The chapter ends and a new one begins with that same character talking with someone like nothing happened. So, I'm trying to figure out -- was there no fire, was that a dream (cause there are lots of dreams in the book!), did we go back in time, what about the smoke???? A few pages later the smoke is briefly mentioned, but by then I've figured out that it was nothing. Very annoying. 5) the characters are kinda stereotyped and somewhat unbelievable. 6) sometimes plot lines are dropped or put on hold for unbelievable lengths of time. A main character will suddenly disappear without much explanation, I'm guessing because the author wants you to forget about them so they can make a surprising re-entry into the story later on -- but the problem with that is that it is so unbelievable. In the real world, who isn't concerned when they don't hear from someone for weeks at a time?

Those are some of my issues with this series. The story has definitely taken a sharp turn in this book. I'm going to read #11 and see what direction it takes next. If it continues down the getting-almost-bizarre route or if it seems like #11 is just another chapter in a book that has no end, I'll likely do my best to forget to look for the next one (it hasn't been released yet, so there's hope that I will do just that!)

What the....

"What the..." It's what I said at the end of each book. Lord Jools can! write cliff hangers. Love the suspense and the twists and turns and jerks of reality...or is it? Fabulous quick reads. I found myself yelling at Abbey "No!" but she never listens to me...making it more exciting. There's a crazy love triangle!, too. I'm on Ty's team...like I was for Jacob in the Twilight book series (I wonder if that means anything) I don't know who will be Abby's choice. I'm just finished book 10. I'm looking forward to #11 and two novellas. Book #12 is suppose to be out in the winter of 2015. YAY!

Great book, a must read. Very hard to put down kind of book. Leaves you always wanting to know what happens. Also pick up and read books...11, 12, and 13. 13 ends the story and they are also a must read.
