El pov de Hinako de que por fin se empieza a dar cuenta de lo que ella misma siente😭😭
Vale, hasta aquí está publicado This monster wants to eat me (al menos en físico). Es una historia que me ha parecido muy buena. Es cierto que había algún volumen con alguna parte que no me encantaba tanto ya que sentía que a veces le daban demasiado protagonismo a Miko (siendo ella la amiga de la protagonista), pero los momentos de las protagonistas eran 10/10 siempre aunque ha sido súper slow burn todo. Es cierto que la trama no es principalmente centrada en el romance ya que también tiene elementos de horror y mitología, pero la química de Shiori y Hinako era muy buena aun así.
Desde el volumen 1 Shiori ha sido mi favorita, y lo sigue siendo. Me parece súper graciosa y carismática, además de que siempre iba muy aesthetic. A Hinako tmb la amo, me daba mucha pena en muchos momentos de la historia pero me gusta ver cómo poco a poco se va sintiendo mejor y más cómoda con Shiori. En cuanto a Miko bueno, por momentos bien pero por otros momentos era medio pesada, sentía que se interponía de más en la relación a veces, pero parece que ya en los volúmenes más actuales se está tranquilizando JAJSJAJDJSJDJSJSJ
Poco más que añadir, no he visto el anime pero me gustaría hacerlo en algún momento porque otra cosa que me encantaba era el aesthetic de las escenas relacionadas al mar, era todo muy bonito y en anime debe serlo incluso más.
Volveremos con la historia cuando se vayan actualizando los volúmenes en goodreads

shiori ignoring miko and staying with hinako at the cemetery was painful to watch. shiori giving that huge confession to hinako, saying she doesn’t want her to become cold like a gravestone, that she wants to keep her safe and close, and hinako replying that when she gets devoured she’ll always be with shiori… that hurt.
hinako only really realizes that shiori genuinely cares about her well-being and is afraid of losing her when a monster appears at school and she thinks shiori is scared. then she starts thinking about how she was afraid of losing her family, and how her family was also afraid of losing her.
hinako doesn’t want to hurt her friends, but she finally understands that wanting to die hurts them too. it took long enough, honestly.
miko saying she loves all the humans she befriended and formed bonds with, meanwhile shiori only loves hinako… pls 😭

Bueno la verdad es que sigo atrapada en este manga y NO ME PUEDO CREER QUE ESTE VOLUMEN HAYA ACABDO ASÍ. Hasta la fecha solo hay 10 volúmenes publicados y he de esperarme a la confesión de Hinako 😭🙏
Me encanta ver a Shiori literalmente colada por Hinako. Al principio parecía que ella actuaba desde un punto mucho más egoísta, pero desde que sabemos su lore se le ve queriendo cuidar todo el rato a Hinako y me parece una monada🥺.
Y por fin Hinako se ha dado cuenta de que con sus ideas ha estado haciendo daño a Miko y a Shiori, y por primera vez en todo el manga Miko no ha estado entre medio de ellas dos. Esper que siga así la cosa 😺.

Puedo meter las manos al fuego y decir que es la historia que mejor retrata la depresión en alguien
Hinako es un personaje tan realista y fácil de uno poderse sentir identificada enserio la amo :( y espero que esto no sea doomed yuri aunque fijo si va a ser pero no pierdo esperanzas

Finalmente Hinako se da cuenta de lo mucho que esta lastimando a Shiori!!!
Y por fin podemos ver un poco más del deseo de Shiori de ser la prioridad de Hinako

I gave this manga a try on the recommendation of a friend. Basically, I was looking for something similar to Someone You Can Build a Nest In, but manga. I’m not sure that’s what I got exactly, but it sure was interesting.
This manga is about a girl who ends up meeting a mermaid (which are like full on flesh eating monsters in this world) and asking her to kill her, because she’s really depressed. Her best friend from school doesn’t want her to die, so she tries to convince the mermaid to wait to eat her until sometime indefinitely later.
I can’t say too much about the plot due to spoilers. I guess the main theme is that this girl is depressed and being gay keeps her going every day? Except the mermaid she’s falling for she is expecting to kill her out of love? Yeah it’s just a lot of angst. If I didn’t know this was an original story, I’d think it was a fanfic. It has the angst levels of a hurt/comfort fanfic, except without the comfort.
Bonus points, there’s a kitsune.
To be honest with you all, I’m not sure why I keep reading this. Like in concept, it wouldn’t work for me. But the way it’s written just makes me not want to stop reading. Like I’m over here rooting for them to get together and also for the main character to get eaten. I shouldn’t want that. I fear this manga is corrupting me and I don’t know what to do about it besides read on.
