Radical Wellness: Pathways to a Healthy Body, Mind, and Planet starts out feeling pretty inspiring, but after a while, it gets repetitive. While the book does present some excellent ideas regarding self-care, habit formation, and mindfulness, to be fair, most of these concepts aren’t exactly revolutionary. For instance, if you’ve already read books such as Atomic Habits, some of the concepts presented in this book will seem quite familiar. While the book is written quite clearly, for those who have already read a couple of books within this genre, some of the concepts presented may seem a bit too basic. Ultimately, it is a quite peaceful book for those looking to begin their journey within the world of wellness.
This book really changed my thoughts on health. Hilary explains ways to eat better get some exercise without feeling like it's a chore and even do something good for the planet. I loved the recipes and tips on being more mindful. The best part is that it's not preachy it's real advice that you can actually use. Since reading it I swapped soda for water. I feel way better now. It's an easy read even, for people who are really busy. I highly recommend it!
Radical Wellness is a simple, reflective read built around four pillars Mind, Action, Nourishment and Spirit. The “three little pigs” analogy nicely shows that real wellness needs consistent effort. I found the link between habits very relatable like how poor sleep can lead to bad food choices and low mood. The book’s biggest strength is its honesty: you have to do the work yourself.
I found this book very motivating and comforting at the same time. The author shares wellness advice in a simple, thoughtful way that makes healthy living feel more approachable. What stood out to me most was the message that positive change does not have to be huge to matter. It’s a great book for anyone wanting to reset their habits and focus more intentionally on their well-being.
