This story takes place in Radford Crossing, Texas in November of 1874. After losing both her husband and unborn child in an accident, Celia Dubois has moved back in with her parents in Radford Crossing. Two months earlier, the townspeople had their church burned down by bandits. The town’s spirit has not recuperated and they are sorely lacking in Christmas spirit.

Country store. I would love to shop here... It's the real deal...Fun!:

Celia’s marriage had been arranged. She did not love her husband but did care for him. She grieves the loss of a man so young but deeply grieves the loss of her child. Living with her parents is not easy as they are also grieving. Her parents own the local mercantile shop and Celia has begun to work for her father at the store. Even with so much sorrow, Celia is desperate for the townspeople to revive their holiday spirit so she hatches a plan for the community to come together and plan a series of Christmas events that is sure to get everyone in a festive mood.

old towne, old fashioned christmas window display. Reminds me of Perkasie <3:

Eduardo Montoya noticed Celia as soon as she moved to town and told his friend that he was going to marry her. He slowly begins to woo Celia but must also face the disapproval of her parents.

This is a sweet story of how one woman managed to bring the town together and revive the town’s Christmas spirit, making it turn out to be one of the most festive they’ve ever had. It also ends up to be a very special one for Celia as well.

The charm of the past and the Holiday season. What better way to find love when you least expect it? Go back in time and re-live life in the nineteenth century without doing the physical labor. Stone Mountain Christmasby Caroline Clemmons is a tale of simpler times, sharing with family and friends and the renewal of feelings that died along with her husband for Celia Dubois. Home with her parents after five years gone, now a widow, Celia finds that what both she and the town need is the Christmas Spirit, little did she know, one of Santa’s Helpers, the wealthy Eduardo Montoya would gift her with the greatest gift of all, love.

Caroline Clemmons has brought the past alive, including the struggles of those alive long ago. Her characters are delightful, and the feeling of closeness within this small town is wonderful. A wonderful addition to holiday reading. Quick, yet complete.

I received this copy as part of the Silver Belles and Stetson Anthology in exchange for my honest review.

I love.Caroline Clemmons books; this one is no exception. I enjoy that characters from previous books make their way through the story.Eduardo Montoya sees the new woman in town, Celia Dubois and immediately falls in love at.first sight. Can he convince Celia that he loves her? Can he overcome her families racist views?

I really enjoyed this book. It was nice to take a step back in time where there were rules and etiquette on mourning and moving on and how to court someone.

This book takes place in 1874 and centers around the community of Radford Crossing and Stone Mountain. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I will definitely read more of this series as I would love the background of many of the characters. That being said I felt like I wasn't missing out on too much.

Celia Dubois has just moved back into town with her parents, George and Harriett Sturdivant, after the death of her husband. Her mother is depressed and Celia wants to bring the Christmas spirit back into their community.

Eduardo Montoya lives out at Stone Mountain with his parents and is very interested in courting Celia. Unfortunately Celia's parents are not happy with it, although Celia does begin to spend time with him. Yet Celia begins to laugh again and her parents wonder what has finally made her happy again.

One thing I found funny was that the teacher in town was gossiping over the "meanest kid" and everyone knowing who it was. In this day it is so politically incorrect that I truly enjoyed it in the story.

Love the characters and I do mean characters. Eduardo is such a fine gentleman with manners and charm to love Celia with his whole heart. Thank you for an enjoyable story.
