I really loved this book- I loved The Outsiders movie so wanted to read this and enjoyed it a lot! I loved looking at the TikTok’s of the aesthetics of it which also inspired me to read it! Such a good book and read it in a very quick amount of time as it was so fun! I definitely would recommend if you love the 1980’s and love The Outsiders as I do,as it is my favourite movie! 🍒
Good overall story! I admire young writers. Could've used with some more editing, especially since slang was all over the place for a story taking place in '87. Mostly 60's slang, but there were some modern expressions and inventions throughout the story that threw me off. I had trouble warming up to the fmc, but I did enjoy the mmc and his best friend. I would have liked this a bit more plot-heavy than just romance-heavy, if you can even call this book that. But the plot itself was compelling enough. I just hoped for more out of this.
