Lexie Steele is back in her villain era: and, okay, she might be down on her luck right now after a humiliating breakup with the love of her life, Jett Carter — to say nothing of the dead-end job she’s been forced to get to pay the bills — but when Jett returns to Heather Bay to film his next movie, there’s every opportunity for Lexie to turn things around and win him back. Or there would be, if he didn’t have his gorgeous co-star, Violet King in tow.
Can Lexie and Jett overcome all the obstacles and find their-happily-ever after in the Highlands? Or is Lexie Steele destined to forever be the anti-hero?
Amber Eve is a former journalist who was born and raised in Scotland, and has been writing stories for her entire life. Her Heather Bay series is set in the Scottish Highlands, and follows the lives and loves of the inhabitants of this fictional coastal town.
Really really enjoyed this one, it had everything in it, there was funny moments, sad moments, there was real romance although you don't realise just how much until nearer the end, this has a great ending, there is a small cliffhanger but not about the romance between the two main characters, this cliffhanger is a family one, I hope that when I go through this authors other books I find something that links back to these 2 books, I will definitely be reading more from this author, well worth reading.
I wanted to love this romance....but hated it since there was no romance
I read the first book about Lexi and wanted to love it it but found very little romace in it...and should have stopped while I was ahead. Instead, I dutifully read the 2nd...and found myself disliking both characters. There was absolutely no romance or chemistry in this novel. Run the other direction...
so much fun....set in Scotland and Lexie is a Bridget Jones type of girl. I took a star because there is virtually no written chemistry between the main characters. It's written solely on Lexie's POV. It is a clean book that is way too clean.
This is a funny book, the sheep may be my favorite character. The main character goes through a lot but there is a mega movie star to help. In fact there are a lot of people who help her out. She truly is a mess.
