She inherited his empire. Now she must survive it.

Hackney’s underworld has a new queen and she’s not here to play nice. After the death of notorious gangland boss Colm Byrne, his daughter Ruby steps up to the throne. Sharp as broken glass and twice as dangerous, Ruby isn’t just fighting to keep her father's legacy alive, she’s reshaping it in her own ruthless image.

But the streets are watching. Rivals are circling. And inside her own house, betrayal runs deep.

As Ruby expands the Byrne empire, her enemies multiply. And when an Albanian crime boss dares step on her turf, Ruby doesn’t just retaliate, she rewrites the rules.

In a world of secrets, surveillance, and shifting loyalties, Ruby must decide what kind of leader she wants to be, and how far she’s willing to go to keep power in Byrne hands…

Gritty, gripping and loaded with tension, Ruby Rising is a ferocious crime saga of bloodlines, betrayal and a woman who refuses to break. Perfect for fans of Martina Cole, Kimberley Chambers and Jessie Keane.

Enjoyed it until I didn’t…

I quite enjoyed Book1 (despite the appalling punctuation) but should’ve left it at that. Both books 1 & 2 are in need of a good proof read; the punctuation is really bad. And, dear me, talk about repetitive, towards the end; it became very tiresome. And the moodiness of the characters! This Book 2 is the last one in this series that I shall read.

I was looking forward to this on pre-order and having read the first book in the series. I found it dull and repetitive, a weak story.
