Have you ever made a daring move?

Di Jenson is a successful Broadway dancer who makes a bet with bad boy Van Vanzant to dance at Vanz, his exclusive gentlemen’s club. The bet? That Di can make more money with one dance than all the rest of the club’s dancers combined—without taking her clothes off.

Van accepts the bet because he hasn't been able to forget his blind date with Di the year before. He wants to show her he’s more than a guy whose name is synonymous with adult entertainment. Despite the fact that Di is drawn to the bad boy in Van, she knows she can’t respect a guy in his line of business. But when she dances at his club, the bet turns into something neither will soon forget.

Can a bad boy with secrets win the heart of dancer who dares to make a Scandalous Move?

I was looking for a quick read. I added this to my Kindle library at $1.99. It was a little over 100 pages. So, it met the criteria.

I've never read anything by Deborah Staley, so I decided to pick one of her shorter books to read. The concept intrigued me.

Essentially, professional Broadway dancer (Di) is presented with a "business proposal" from a one-time date named Van. Van owns a "gentleman's club". He wants Di to turn it around and create something new.

There's a bet at the beginning of the book that Di can bring in the most money by dancing entirely with her clothes on. Vanz says "you're on".

What I loved about Di is that she was feisty! She wasn't afraid to call Vanz out when he needed it. I really loved her friendship with fellow dancer, Anne. Anne seemed to be a dancer from England but it's not entirely stated. However, the way her dialogue is written it's easy to pick up on. I loved their dynamic. Di is the star dancer but Anne is the girl who makes it all happen. What she did for Di's first dance was amazing. Anne choreographed the entire thing. She really was the one who made it pop and sizzle.

I really did like that as the novel progressed the relationship between Di & Vanz went from hate/hate to I'll show you/you won't make that happen to make my club into something better/I've already done that and I've done it because I love you.

I kinda was sad that is was so short. I would've loved to read more of Di & Vanz's relationship.

Why should you read this book?🤔
👇🏻
It has those ”Daring" 4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫/5

👍🏻 This was my first book by author Deborah, and let me tell you I was in reader heaven.

Quoting Di, “Finding love is always a miracle.”
Coming across this book was mine ❤

👍🏻 The book has yumm-licious characters that makes you wanna drool. The hotness factor will have you sweating, the steam is off the charts! This is what you would call "one sexy romance"🔥

👍🏻The storyline has substance, a story with a message:
“At its heart, it’s about empowerment and confidence. It’s also unforgiving. A woman who doubts herself, or lacks self-confidence, will give herself away."

This was one interesting read, smooth as well as seductive 😍

👍🏻I always share teasers from the book, so swipe to read some of them after the cover!🤣

👍🏻My recommendation: If you looking for a sexy read with a good storyline, this one is definitely for you 🖤

Totally new author for me, but the book cover/ blurb appealed to me and I was after a short light fun read, so decided to give this book a go. Suffice to say I'm glad that I did.

I found the concept of the story engaging and entertaining and certainly hot in places. All of the characters were well written and developed. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the two main characters Di and Van and discovering the chemistry they had for each other.

I loved the whole element of Burlesque that was woven throughout the story as wasn't expecting that at all.

I'm looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Di Jenson is a successful Broadway dancer and takes a bet from Van Vanzant to dance at his upscale gentleman's club. Plus, neither of them can forget a blind date they shared a year earlier. The plot is fast paced, maybe a little too much at times, but the chemistry between Di and Van burns up the page. The sex scenes are not just smoking hot but also authentic. I was also pleasantly surprised that the book included burlesque, one of my favorite forms of dance, but also touched on the more realistic aspects of dancing professionally. A wonderful, sexy read. This was an ARC.
