This book saved my life. Thank you Dr. Vedral!!! It was a great read and gave me the permission I needed to stop putting up with and start finding what I needed to be happy. And I am! I read this book in 1994.

So this book is almost 30 years old, but a lot of the material in it applies to my generation of women today. There’s so many takeaways from this book, but the ones that stood out to me, and will continue to remind myself if moving forward in relationships is this: YOU, the woman, are the catch. And you shouldn’t have to chase or beg a man to care about you or love you, or do things for you, bare minimum or not. And if you have to do that to get your man to love you or care about you, then GET RID OF HIM.

every woman ever needs to read this book. please. i’m lucky enough to not have dealt with a lot of this firsthand, but it was extremely helpful to learn not just what to avoid and when to end something, but things that i may be doing to contribute to an unhealthy/toxic dynamic.

Not such a good book to read if you're already not in a good place in your relationship! Lol.
