I re-read this every summer, as it is a perfect beach read! I probably read it for the first time when I was I’m my teens, and now I’m in my mid-30s. It holds a lot of memory for me, but I also just really love the story. It’s a mystery and a bit of a ghost story all at once. Looking forward to reading it again next summer :)
Just a random side note - I read this in Norwegian, and while I usually don’t like the Norwegian tiltes for books, I actually think the Norwegian title is so much more fitting. The Norwegian title is ‘Klippehuset’ which means cliff house/house on the cliffs in english.
