Elliot Michaelson is a sucker for a good love story. He’s spent months watching his best friend find the girl of his dreams and although he feels a little jealous he’s hopeful that one day he can experience the same kind of love. The only problem? When the girl finally shows up he can’t man up and actually talk to her. Instead for months he just watches her as their friends move around them.
Wynnette (Wynnie) O’Brian hasn't had an easy life but when her best friend tells her about the town of Aspen Hollow something encourages her to give it a go. She moves to town just in time to grab a job at the local bar and watch her friend give birth to her first child. She never expects her past to come back to haunt her or to fall in love. Can she manage both and stay alive?
Wynnie and Elliot's story was very emotional. Wynnie marries her high school sweetheart but things soon take a turn. He becomes someone completely different and treats her terribly and she ends up in a horrible situation. She eventually escapes and meets Roni and moves to Aspen Hollow to be near her. For Elliot, it's love at first sight, he's stricken speechless and pines for a year. Finally he tells her how he feels and they grow closer. When her past comes back to haunt her, will she be able to trust Elliot and herself to stay safe?
This book is part of the Aspen Hallow shared world and is a standalone. However, there is a lot of character crossover from the author’s other books in the world so if that bothers you read them first. Wynnie and Elliot’s story was really satisfying to read. Elliot is a golden retriever who falls first. Wynnie takes a little convincing but once she gets support from Elliot in regard to her past trauma she falls hard too. There is a bit of spice but it definitely isn’t the focus. If all that isn’t enough to convince you to read it there is an adorable dog and an HEA.
Aspen Hollow has become one of my favourite series and this book was fantastic Wynnie got married at 18 after a few months she noticed a change in her husband when she discovers all their college money is gone she confront him, but he doesn’t give her a reason night he says his going to take her out but go in his car little does she know his selling her for drugs to a sex trafficking organisation? I would recommend this book and the whole series

This starts of dark dark, before we get to the light and fluffy. Aspen hollow becomes her light at the end of the tunnel, and it's beautiful. Elliot is obsessed and believes in love at first sight. Wynnies past is dark, and her ability to move on jaded. But he helps her take back her life and gives her a second chance. Amazingly written, in so few pages, we get such a huge story. Highly recommend.

Snout or Never is the 8th book in the Aspen Hollow Series a multi-author interconnected series. This installment is brought to us by Jessie Pollock.
Ever since I read the 1st book of the Aspen Hollow Series it’s quickly become one of my favorite series of all times and I can’t wait to put the entire series on my trophy shelf. I can honestly say that I can hope that it never ends although I know that the day will come that this series is going to come.
I fell in love with Jessi’s writing when I read her The Redburn Pack duet. I have to say that I find Jessi’s writing to be absolutely remarkable and astonishing, she has this way of enthralling you and drawing you into the story and making you feel like you are living the story.
Snout or Never follows Elliot and Wynnie and I found this story to be emotional, sweet, dark, quick, heartwarming, beautiful and packed with loads of everything that you could have ever wanted. Jessi packed this book so much emotion it felt like a rollercoaster ride that shatters your heart at times and then she slowly puts it back together again.
Wynnie’s husband has put her through so much, and I mean he’s put her through a lot. And in order to break free Wynnie escapes to Aspen Hollow, the very town that everyone seems to be drawn too, the very place where the people who live there are family and band together and protect each other. And this town becomes her second chance. And it’s here in Aspen Hollow that Wynnie finds a new life, but she also finds a second chance at love.
Wynnie had married her husband at 18 and a few months after the wedding she realized her husband started to change after she discovered all their college money had disappeared. But he doesn’t explain himself, doesn’t even give her a reason. He just tells her one night he tells Wynnie he’s going to take her out for a date night. What Wynnie doesn’t know is he’s planning to sell her to a sex trafficking organisation in exchange for drugs.
You’re going to have to read the book in order to discover how Wynnie gets out of being sold for drugs.
Elliot has always been a sucker for love and has always been super romantic. The only thing that he’s ever wanted in his life is his person, his other half, his soulmate. Just like he’s been watching his friends find.
Then he sees Wynnie, and with that one single look Elliot knows that he’s finally found his soulmate, Elliot knows without a doubt that Wynnie is his person and he hasn’t even talked to her yet. But he’s shy and kind of a chicken and he can’t find the courage to talk to her, so he watches her from a distance.
Finally, the day comes where Elliot finally musters the courage to talk to her, and more than just talking to her, he confesses to Wynnie how he feels for her. But, just as it seems there’s hope for Elliot and Wynnie to find happiness together, Wynnie’s past returns to haunt her.
Will the tender new found love that Wynnie and Elliot have just discovered be destroyed by Wynnie’s past? Will Wynnie be able to survive her past?
I have to suggest that you go and grab this book, learn about Wynnie’s past, learn about Elliot and Wynnie’s blooming relationship and find out what happens when Wynnie’s past comes rolling into Aspen Hollow. You’re not going to be disappointed.
I just can’t recommend this book and this entire series highly enough.
Aspen hollow series is one of my favourite series of all time, and I never want it to end. Jessi's writing is phenomenal, she's draws you in and makes you feel and picture it all.
Elliot and Wynnie's story was emotional, sweet, dark, quick but was also heartwarming, beautiful and packed with loads. It's such an emotional rollercoaster ride that breaks your heart and puts it back together again.
Wynnie has been through so much with her husband, he puts her through alot. And she just needs to break free, so she escapes to aspen hollow, the small town everyone is drawn to , where the residents are family and band together. A town that becomes her second chance, not only at a new life, but also a new love.
Elliot is a super romantic, he's a sucker for love, and just wants his person, his soulmate. Just like his friends. When he sees Wynnie he knows she's his person. But he's such a chicken shit and can't talk to her she he watches her from afar for along time. Finally he tells her how he feels, but her past comes back to haunt her, will there new found love be destroyed , will she survive her past?
Grab the book and find out what happens to Wynnie, you won't be disappointed, I sure wasn't. Highly recommend.
Snout of Never by Jessi Pollock was almost everything I had hoped for, but I'm still giving it five stars, because it was still such a good read. I just felt like there were some parts that were either swiftly glossed over or not given the attention they deserve.
However, I have been waiting for Elliot's story since book two and three, and I am so glad that it is finally here. Wynette is such a lucky girl to get the hopeless romantic, Elliot.
The book had some spice, but it wasn't an excessive amount. The story mostly followed Wynette and her past traumas trying to catch up with her, and Elliot eventually finding his courage to claim his girl.
Thank you Jessi and her PR team for letting me read this. It did not disappoint. I believe there's two more books to the series, and I cannot wait for them.
All these can be read as standalones, but ultimately the series is interconnected, and characters from previous books always resurface.
Snout Or Never is book eight of the Aspen Hollow Series.
I'm sorry, but Elliot was the cutest! I found the shyness he has around Wynnie to be very endearing. Wynnie has gone through some very hard moments in her past and she has trouble trusting others fully and letting down her guard. But even with all of this knowledge, there is just something about Elliot which pulls her in and lets her know she will be safe with him. There are a few intense moments with Wynnie, but with Elliot and the town of Aspen Hollow behind her, she finally finds peace.
This is my favorite non-magical book from the Aspen Hollow series so far. Author Jessi introduces Wynnie, who finds her way into the Aspen Hollow family after escaping a terrible past, and is welcomed with open arms and begins to build a real home. When trouble finds her again, the story took me through all the emotions, but it mostly left me smiling and giggling. I can’t even truly explain it but this book just made my heart happy!
