As the hybrid daughter of a famous witch and the sigma wolf of Cerberus Pack, you’d think I’d be more ‘magical prodigy’ and less… fiery curse.
Even my wolf gets frustrated every time we escape a new spell-turned-explosion with tail tucked between my legs and singed fur.
If that wasn’t bad enough, the arrival of Halley’s Comet kicks off an ancient festival where magic wielders from around the country gather to form alliances. This cycle, a mysterious warlock is building a coven of the strongest natural-born witches. All of us are being tested, including my best frenemy—the ridiculously hot Alpha who I should hate, but my traitorous body says otherwise.
Jaxon is the perfect male wolf. Any female would be lucky to be his mate. He’s gifted with both magic and charm, but we have too much history between us for me to care about his stupidly handsome smile or the way he's always there to help put out the fire.
It’s time I proved that I’m the powerful wolf-witch I know I can be, and I’m going to have to do it alone.
But my fight with Jaxon draws the attention of the dark warlock and somehow, I accidentally become a target for his ritual sacrifice.
This is blood magic. Murder disguised as an ancient offering. The warlock is lying to us and no one else can see it. It’s up to me and my broken magic to save everyone I love, even if it means we all go down in flames…
On second thought, this might be a total disaster.

It seems at first like your typical friends to lovers? Enemy’s to lovers? I don’t think it falls into either of those but definitely star crossed lovers…fated mates of course. But it’s not typical at all. Bear with me this is my first wolf shifter romance. I’m also slightly bias’s because I will read everything Heather writes.
The picture of a connected past was very present throughout and if your familiar with these it does give the obvious lead in that these two were meant to be.
I love how she individualized both of their stories. Like some Dual POV it’s one character’s story but from them other’s perspective. This one was two stories well woven together. I love how she took the underdog character and made it to where they charted their own course to success even though everyone but their mate doubted them, family included. It shows great strength when anyone real or not perseveres past all expectations especially when their support system doesn’t support them the way they should.
The love story, cohesive, not forced, balanced over all. The big evil to overcome both tangible and internal and the MC showed all, readers included they defy all odds, even the ones we put on ourselves are the most important to overcome. Can’t wait to see where this story goes more…I hope there’s more.
I absolutely love this series. I highly recommend starting with Fated Destinies trilogy. It’s not a must but it will help with characters and back story.
🐺fated mates/2nd chance 💫 cursed magic 🐺friends to lovers 💫slow burn 🔥 but with spice 🐺banter 💫strong female 🐺touch her and ☠️
We finally get to meet the grumpy wolfs and Sages triplets and these girls may look the same but they are definitely nothing a like. In this book we get to know Trish and don’t let her fool you, has a lot more going on than is being said. Jaxson our over protective alpha witch is just as complicated. Put these together and you might feel like you are in crazy town. However, hear me out these two have been through a lot! And all will be uncovered toward the end. I can say Trish and Jaxson and strong once they get out of their own way the pieces will all make sense.
I loved the story line and build up into the next book. I loved the banter with the side characters. However, my favorite was the banter between Trish and her wolf.
I really enjoyed this one and can’t wait for the next. 🖤
This book is fantastic!! Heather Carson truly gives us another reason to keep coming back , again and again!!! This one does not disappoint!! I love the characters and the continuation of family in this book which also created some witty banter going on between them.Jaxon just can’t seem to get the right words out of his mouth for that stubborn female!! Tisiphone ( Trish) has struggled with her powers , family ties, and her heart ,while Jaxon knows his heart desperately needing a push. This book has everything!! Fated Mates, shifters, witches, love, humor, suspense!! I’ve read the complete series Fated Destines book one ( these are amazing as well!!) before this one so I had the background knowledge of many characters but you can start here in the story and be ok. I can’t wait for the next book , it’s going to be hard!! This book does end on a cliffhanger but I assure you it’s worth it !!
I love Trish and Jackson story. I think it’s funny that these two grew up together, but yet they can’t see that they could possibly be mates. I feel bad for Trish because ever since she has lost her magic people have been treating her like she’s made out of glass and can’t do anything. Trish and Jackson get sent on a mission together and they learn more about their possible bond. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series.
Tisiphone Cerberus is a witch wolf from the Cerberus clan. She is a powerful magic wielder but her magic has gone wrong. Alpha Jaxon is another who as an orphan, fiercely protects all who he holds dear. They both are invited to a gathering which celebrates the arrival of Halley’s Comet. There, a mysterious warlock named Vincent Matthis makes a proposal to all the magical folk to solve the pesky human problem. Trish and Jaxon must now work together to counter this, while fighting their growing attraction to one another. A funny, spicy and addictive read.
The Witch’s Daughter is a fun and medium-dark dystopian fantasy with a spicy romance between two magic-wielding wolf shifters. It’s got laughs, angst, yearning, magic, evil villains trying to destroy everything, and ass-kicking heroines with their growly, protective men.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
One of my favorite things about this series is how these books flirt the line of realistic fantasy dystopia and soap opera ridiculousness. They are over the top in the best of ways, and there’s so many feels. Sometimes you’re laughing, sometimes you’re crying, sometimes you are pissed tf off at characters and-slash-or our authorly overlord.
And they’re incredibly addictive ❤️🔥 Once I start one of Heather’s books, I can’t put it down.
I loved everything about this story - even if I wanted to slap some of the characters at times. Seriously, Trish and Jaxon, I get it but come on now. World building, plot, pacing, character growth, villains and secondary characters are all great.
If you’re new to this world, you can read Fated Destinies Volume One to find out what happens before we meet Trish and Jaxon, but it’s not necessary for this story.
I was lucky enough to snag an advance copy for early review ✨
❤️🔥 Dual POV with spice 🐺 Fated mates ☄️ Pre-existing dystopian world ⏳ Second chance romance 🤦♀️ Miscommunication / Idiots to lovers
I absolutely loved this book! Trish and Jaxon are the cutest power couple. Jaxon really makes you fall in love with him as He just fights so hard for the one he loves. Trish is relatable to many who try not to shine to bright so that others can. I love the family dynamic between our already beloved characters and our current MCs. I enjoyed all of the characters that made up their coven and their tie to each other. This book definitely has a cliff hanger but I can't wait to get to read the next book and hopefully get to see both sisters get mates in the future. There are so many amazing characters it would be hard to not make a book for them all! I give this book 5 stars and tell anyone if your looking for a great friends to lovers witch book you are in the right place! If you havent tried a book like this and this is the first book you have seen of Ms. Heather Carson's then you are in for a treat. You will love ALL of her books. Thank you Ms. Heather!
Dark, funny, and utterly addictive. A refreshing take on urban fantasy with a romance that burns brighter than Trish’s accidental explosions!
This was a total chaotic masterpiece! 🐺✨
I didn’t expect to fall so hard for a wolf-witch who literally blows up her own spells. Trish is such a refreshing FMC – she’s clumsy with her magic but has a heart of gold (and a lot of singed fur 😂).
And Jaxon? The tension between them is EVERYTHING. They have that "too much history" vibe that makes every interaction electric. ⚡️
The plot with the Halley’s Comet and the dark warlock kept me on the edge of my seat. It’s dark, it’s spicy, and it’s surprisingly funny. If you’re looking for a fresh take on Urban Fantasy with a high-stakes romance, 'The Witch’s Daughter' is a must-read!
My Rating: 5/5 ⭐
Tropes: 🐺 Wolf x Witch Hybrid ♾️ Fated Mates 🔥 Frenemies to Lovers 🗝️ Dark Rituals
Thanks to the author for sending me a copy of the book. This is my honest review.
4.5 stars rounding up. Great start to a new 2nd generation series. Can definitely be read without having read the previous series, but having that background information does help.
M/F shifter/witch, second chance, he falls first and harder, slight distopian/dark themes. Its a shifter book, so there is some violence and blood, alpha, fated mates, pack dynamics.
MC, Jaxson, has always known "Trish" was his, but did what he thought she needed and kept himself back until events at the Halley's comet celebration force everything out in the open.
FMC, "Trish", is a broken witch. With her magic broken upon the passing of her grandmother, Trish struggles to find and hold onto her self worth amongst her pack and family. When the invitation to the celebration shows up, her anxiety about being around Jaxson isn't enough to keep her hope of finding her magic down.
Absolutely loved this one, although I wish I had gone back and read Fated Destinies I again before reading this one. I thought I remembered them better than I had, and had to go back searching for some things regarding the different territories. I couldn’t put this one down, like so many from this author. (She is one of my favorites.).
I love the character development, how they all interact with each other, and how they interact with their wolves. Seeing the old characters come back from the earlier books was nice, also.
It does end with a cliffhanger, and I actually saw this one coming. (It was that, ‘oh no, I was right’ moment.). I can’t wait for the next one to see how it all plays out.
While not quite as developed as HKC's other books, this is still a fun read. The characters show their immaturity often to the point that I was worried I'd feel uncomfortable reading the spicy bits, but by the time it came around, our couple had begun to mature. I have to admit that after reading, I'm more interested in Calla's story than Meg's, so I hope Calla might get a standalone down the road.
I had a hard time engaging these characters They seemed very sophomoric. The book was lacking in depth and humor. It was so unremarkable I watched television while reading as it did not engage me at all. Thank goodness it wasn't some 3 part epic series of good versus evil. It was so predictable it was boring
Amazing. Loved it. Cannot wait for more. As usual I'll be sitting on this cliff you left me on waiting patiently.
I love Trish and Jaxon so much! As always in an AMAZING friends to lovers, Jaxon was so patient for Trish while she worked herself out. He supported her without trying to control her. Even when he gave up (inside his own head) he didn't really.
