This was the perfect book to end this series, although I am incredibly sad that it is ending. The two characters in this book were a little different than the others, especially Liam.
Liam Savage has just been offered a once a lifetime chance to play for the newest hockey team in Quebec, the Wolverines. Everything is ready to go, with only one issue, he needs a wife. Wherever could a beautiful specimen of a man like Liam find a woman to marry? Anywhere but that's not his desire. He wants a simple relationship built on trust.
Ashley is a flight attendant at her wits end. Her finances are in the toilet, and her credit card is about to catch on fire. When Liam and Ashley first meet, it is like sizzling electricity. Just ask Ashley's co-worker, Adrian. Adrian was a hoot. I laughed until I almost cried. He basically offered Ashley up on a silver platter as a very single lady, not knowing what Liam was going through.
If you know about this series, you know these star hockey players have to get married quickly. It is merely a marriage of convenience, a short-term business arrangement, but they have a lot to learn from one another.
It was so much fun to see how Ashley was able to bring out the best in Liam, and he was able to bring out the best in her. Liam is one of my favorite hockey players in this series. He has a heart of gold, and does not have that rough personality that some of the other guys do. He is more serious and less prankster. Although I really do enjoy the banter between the other guys, as they make me constantly laugh. So, don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed reading each player's story.
I really recommend this book, and this entire series as the author carries us on a journey showing how this superstar team was built with not only the best hockey had to offer, but it built a family as well. Skate on Wolverines. I will miss reading about this group of guys and gals who learned some valuable lessons from each other.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Another PERFECT book and the PERFECT way to end the series. I'm definitely sad this series is over but I'm excite to see what Ginny has for us next. I fell in love with these characters right away and didn't want to put this book down.
Liam is the sweetest man. I fell in love with how he showed love to Ashley. He does the romantic things but he goes out of his way to make improvements she needs and gets her a vehicle she needs, He wants to make sure she is taken care of and it just made my heart melt!!
Ashley was also a sweet character. She's just trying to live her life but her job doesn't pay well and bills just keep coming in. But when a good looking guy asks her to marry her to help each other out she can't say no. But little do either of them know much things are going to change.
Liam and Ashley were the sweetest couple and I just couldn't help but love them. I was swooning, smiling, laughing like a crazy person, and I was left with the sweetest happily ever after ending. Ginny has written the PERFECT hockey romance series and I highly recommend it!
This book was so much fun to read. It was short but sweet. I am sorry we are leaving the series but I have every confidence the author will come through with even more good books in the future. The players are actually so ridiculous they are funny while on the ice, but in their love life they are romantics at heart, including Liam. Ashley and Liam made a wonderful couple. He needed a wife and she needed to pay her bills and it was to be only for ninety days. Can they keep the marriage to the ninety day agreement?
Last on the team to marry is Liam the captain. After finding out that his agent was shady and his soon to be ex girlfriend was spending money he didn’t have yet Liam is in a quandary. He needs to be married in order to get his dream hockey job. Easy right just ask the next girl who isn’t like your ex and he does so when he meets flight attendant Ashley. She is down on her luck and Liam’s proposal may be the answer to her problems. That is if they can both keep feelings out of it! Not happening.
I enjoyed this story of America convenience turning to love because of the attitude and behavior of those involved. I love the way that Liam just cherished Ashley and wanted to show it to her over and over again in little and big ways. I love that Ashley appreciated Leah and saw him for who he was and worked on his confidence to make him a better man
Oh.my.goodness!!! This book couldn't have been any more perfect as the finale of this series! Liam promising to treat Ashley as his queen... then quietly and consistently following through. Ashley allowing Liam to break down her walls and take care of her... while SEEING her. This is just the sweetest, swooniest stoey, but with some craziness added in by the team... it all equals perfection!😍🫶🏼
I low key imagined the narrator voice in my head as the “Jane the Virgin“ narrator. I have been so excited for the story since the plane scene in a previous books. Liam is honestly such a sweetie. I love the stuff he does to show Ashley he cares. Most people may overlook it but he is truly wanting the best for her. Ashley is such a great match for him especially with him being a captain. This is a dual pov, closed door romance. It is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone novel.
This book did not disappoint. I’d been looking forward to Liam and Ashley’s story when it was implied that things might not be going smoothly with their marriage. Not really surprising since they met and married the same day. That beat my two weeks of knowing my husband before I married him. Neither know how to feel or what to say, so it makes for awkward situations. This was a fun story and I really enjoyed it.
This was a great finish to the series. Some of them ran together as I read one right after the other, but this book was outstanding. I really enjoyed this heat level. All intimacy was closed door between married couples, but it wasn’t as squeaky clean as most of the clean romances I find. I think this was rated level 2. I liked a little innuendo and wandering thoughts, but it still felt good.
Such a fabulous story of love and family. A story of finding and holding up “the one” to which you’re connected to through love and marriage. Then to become a winner in the sport you love and play! A great read that is worth the time spent reading. You won’t be disappointed!
Absolutely loved this one! What a fateful encounter that plane ride was for Liam & Ashley. I loved them together-an absolute marriage of convenience that turned into so much more. I adored how he treasured & took care of her. And she was such a support for him!
I fall in love with this whole series but this one touched my heart the most. This story of Liam and Ashley's journey to their happy everafter is supreme with laughter and some uncertainty until they found their love and it is great to see it come about.
I really think this book needs another round of edits. Typos and punctuation. Some of the scenes just seemed to be thrown in all of the sudden as well. This storyline has potential, it’s just not there yet.
Liam Savage has landed the job of his dreams, but there's a snag. He has to be married to actually get the job and Liam is far from married. Ashley is working as much as she can but the bills keep piling up. A chance meeting with Liam leads to a marriage proposal and Ashley is just desperate enough to accept it. After all, it is just a business agreement and they have set a day for it all to end. But will they hold to those terms or is something more going on?
I can’t read French, but I also couldn’t find this book in English on this page so here I am. I liked it but felt like I needed a bit more buildup before going to Quebec. I felt like I needed more details.
I loved this whole series so much!! Liam and Ashley’s story was great! I loved their awkward airplane bathroom scene. Totally hilarious and his teammates’ commentary on it was so funny! Jett was my total favorite of all the players and his part in this story was very entertaining. Highly recommend this series if you love flirty banter, marriage of convenience, and insta-love.
I can’t believe how much I loved this final book in this adorable series! These players and their fabulous wives have sent me on a hockey whirlwind! Loved this one! Go Captain Liam! Parfait!
