A definite good read! From it's dramatic opening sequence through the split story telling of the two protagonists to the shocking twist at the end.
Michael Gallagher's ease with dialogue and witty observations give real power and insight into our prison system. His clever thumbnail sketches of the myriad characters he meets on his way have a Dickensian feel, drawing us into this world alien to most.
An original memoir, well paced and compelling.

This book took me by my lapels and carried me through. It is a real page turner and I couldn't put it down. The use of dual narrative alternating between the authors makes for a very compelling read. I really enjoyed reading Unbroken and would highly recommend it. This is a book that will stay with you long after you have turned the last page.

A thrilling and incredibly unusual narrative. Never read anything quite like it in terms of the story and the structure in which it is told via the two authors. Powerful and impossible to put down.
