Je l'attendais, mais tellement !! Il était d'ailleurs temps.
Et pourtant.. Je suis un peu déçue de ce tome. Parce qu'il ne correspond pas à ce que j'attendais, et que j'ai peur pour la suite surtout...

&nbps;  Ce tome ouvre avec un page avec des événements qui se trouvent dans le passé d’Alysia, mais on ne comprend pas complètement le lien entre cette histoire et l’histoire des Légendaires. Bientôt on revoit Ikaël, le frère de Danaël, qui est chargé de suivre les Légendaires sur leur nouveau mission de venir avec et essayer de comprendre ce que Kalandre fait et ce qu’elle promit aux citoyens d’Alysia. Elle leurs a promis qu’elle va les emmener à un nouveau monde où les effets de Jovénia seront annulé, avant que les effets Jovénia ont le temps de se changer en poison mortel. Finalement on apprend un peu plus sur Kalandre, la femme qui a ressuscité Danaël de la morte, et les autres qui l’accompagnent. Leurs histoires sont intéressantes, et ne prend pas trop de temps/des panneaux, non plus.

&nbps;  Tout au long du tome, même si j’étais content de voir les Légendaires entrains de se discuter et de rigoler entre eux encore une fois, j’ai eu un pressentiment que Kalandre n’est pas tout à fait comme elle semble…il y a quelque chose qui cloche, mais je ne suis pas certain quoi exactement que c’est. Peut-être parce que Kalandre emmène beaucoup des gens d’Alysia, y inclus les Légendaires, à un endroit inconnu, pour y accéder un portal à un nouveau monde où les gens peuvent reprendre leurs formes adultes – donc, elle fait des belles promesses, mais qui sait si on peut avoir de la confiance en elle ? Mais comme elle a la loyauté de Danaël, qui était plutôt incorruptible quand il était un Légendaire, même s’il avait ses fautes, on pourrait penser que tout ira bien avec elle et son projet pour les gens d’Alysia. En plus on voit les interactions entre Danaël et les autres Dynaméis, qui supportent ce point de vue à mon avis.

&nbps;  On approche bientôt la fin de la série, et j’ai vraiment hâte de connaître la suite… surtout après les révélations de la fin de ce tome.

&nbps;  N’oubliez jamais ce qui c’est passé au début de ce tome, dans le passé, avec les deux enfants et leur mère devant des gens vraiment fâchés.

&nbps;  This book opens with a page showing events which happened in Alysia’s past, but we don’t completely understand the link between this story and the story of the Legendaries. Soon we see Ikaël, Danaël’s brother, again, who is charged with following the Legendaries on their new mission to go with and help understand what Kalandre is doing and what she has promised to the citizens of Alysia. She promised them that she would take them to a new world where the Jovénia effects are nullified, before the Jovénia effects have time to change into deadly poison. Finally we also learn more about Kalandre, the woman who brought Danaël back to life, and the others who accompany her. Their stories are interesting, and they do not take too much time/panels either.

&nbps;  Throughout the book, even though I was happy to see the Legendaries talking and laughing together once again, I felt a sense of foreboding that Kalandre is not exactly as she seems…there was something off, but I was not certain what exactly it was. Maybe because Kalandre is taking many of the citizens of Alysia, including the Legendaries, to an unknown place, to access a portal to a new world where the people can regain their adult forms – so, she makes pretty promises, but who knows if we can really trust her? But seeing as how she has Danaël’s loyalty, he who was pretty much incorruptible when he was a Legendary (even if he did have his faults), we could believe that everything will be alright with her and her plans for the people of Alysia. Plus we see the interactions between Danaël and the other Dynaméis, which I think supports this point of view.

&nbps;  We are soon nearing the end of this series, and I really want to know what happens next… especially after the revelations at the end of this book.

&nbps;  Never forget what happened in the beginning of this book, in the past, with the two children and their mother facing a crowd of angry people.

I've just finished binge-reading both these books and all I can say is, wow.

Sobral has not only managed to craft an incredibly epic adventure to end (?) them all, but also left an enormous question mark of a cliffhanger that not only makes you wonder what could come next, but also makes you desperately want to read the companion books he's been writing side-by-side to the main ones, in order to try to glean any kind of additional hint as to how this happens and if anything is going to happen next.

Starting with the 'reboot' that was 'Le Cycle D'Anathos' some volumes ago, the adventures steadily built up to what ended up being the most climactic of fights, in essence taking over the 18th book (the aptly names 'La Fin de l'Histoire?') completely. While slightly annoying at times, the addition of the character of Artemus not only served as a semi-avatar for Sobral, but also created his own little (conceited) story-line, which leaves the reader wondering where in the world book number 19 is going to go. More than the others though, I can't really see one of these books being read without the other, so my heartfelt recommendation comes with the caveat that it is for both of them as a pair.
