They have both been in love with each other since they were kids, but a mean girl told people they had kissed and were boyfriend/girlfriend, so she was hurt and they become enemies. But the girl lied, he has turned her down and she spread that rumor. The girl shows up, some small owd, but the H doesn’t even remember her, and things get sorted out quickly.

I read this when it came out but did not write a review. This review will be quite general as the story is no longer fresh in my mind but I will refer back to the book to jog my memory. I did enjoy it very much as it is a *drum roll* DV!!

I enjoyed Lane' story with Sawyer. This is my favorite in the series, although the hero in the first one is the shy giant (my weakness). Sawyer is your charming, handsome bull riding celebrity with southern charm. He comes across as a charmer but he is just polite and he belongs entirely to his Lane. They went to school together when they were kids and both had crushes on each other, until a girl (the unwanted OW) proclaimed that she and Sawyer kissed. That crushed Lane and left her heartbroken. Lane closed herself off, nursing her broken heart, and Sawyer went to make a life for himself with Lane in mind; wanting to make sure their life together would be comfortable as he always knew they were meant to be together. I don't like long separations, especially purposefully. The excuse that it is to eventually return in hopes of giving a good life to his woman, is not a good one. I prefer a hero who sticks to his heroine like glue, so I was not thrilled with the premise but he won me over. I forgive it because it is a DV, his love never wavered and he remained super faithful to his Lane.
The story begins with her waking up in bed with him hungover. I remember the hero in the first book taking care of Liv (the heroine in the first book and Lane's twin), so I remember being curious about him. He is a loyal, faithful, sweet man whom always loved Lane and wanted to break her walls down. He finds out that she thinks he was with other women and when the unwanted OW comes up to him, he realizes that the reason his Lane is pushing him away so much, is because of these false rumors the unwanted OW was spreading about them. He lets her know in front of Lane the harm she caused them both with her lie. He then turns to Lane and reassures her that there never was anyone in his life, only her and that this old high school bimbo is now put in her place after causing Lane's heartbreak. Sawyer put this unwanted bimbo in her place and cleared the air with his Lane. When combing through the book, I read her inner monologue about always thinking that his first and last kiss would be hers. When I tell you my smile turned into a full on grin knowing that when they kiss, it will be both their first time, long overdue and it was as sweet and swoonworthy as I had hoped.
I remember really loving the multiple times our hero and heroine tell each other they are each others first EVERYTHING! She needed that reassurance. This is the gold standard for me, the hero who only gives his heart, mind, body and soul to one woman only. Heroes like Sawyer are rare and when they belong entirely to one woman, having never experienced anything intimate, sexual and romantic with another before her, my heart soars with glee! The scenes with him moving the furniture she makes was sweet, and the HEA made me smile. The sex scenes are hot, but that is a guarantee with Alexa Riley.
I do remember that I loved it and I did read the third book as well. It is also a DV. I recommend it and will be rereading it, but more leisurely this time! I am happy Alexa Riley is giving us Dual Vcard couples! Thank you Alexa Riley! I hope we get more DV couples from her in future!

Heroine is determined to not fall for the hero’s charms, but he’s been pining after her since they were teens.
This was cute with big side of cheese! I do think it could have been improved with 50% more unhinged-ness, but maybe that’s just me.

jamás decepcionan! y como ya esperaba será una tipo de serie que me va a encantar.
AMO qué él haya estado enamorado de ella desde chicos y que haya planeado un futuro juntos aún sin saber si ella le daría el sí. El que ambos tuvieran sus primeras veces juntos fue un plus y carisma de él es divino.
Ella es todo celos fruncidos y desconfianza, pero con él todo cambia y hay más química que en reactor nuclear. Amante de sus piezas, siempre las hace pensando en él o dando señales de algo que vivieron juntos.

Aside from that one silly miscommunication from years ago, heck, this one was quite cute. both are virgins (I think), one hopelessly devoted (hence the title) another warily heart-broken over a needless insecurity issue that could be easily solved with one conversation.

Lane and Sawyer have known each other since they were 10. They've both had feelings for each other too, but it was Sawyer who fell first.
Due to some lies told by a girl when they were in high school, Lane kept Sawyer at arm's length but still harbored feelings for him. Sawyer didn't understand why that happened, but it didn't deter him from going after the girl of his dreams.
So he'd been part of the rodeo for a few years because he didn't want to depend entirely on his family's wealth for his future family. Not that his parents were awful or anything. He just really wanted Lane to know that he could give her a good life and that he’s willing to put in the hard work to make it happen.
Anyway, there was some minor OW; the girl in high school came back for some reason. But Sawyer finally cleared things out, and Lane apologized for making assumptions too quickly.
Overall, it's very straightforward, and in this book he finally decided that a decade had been long enough to go around with their feelings. They finally opened up about their true feelings, and voila, HEA. 🤭

This is the sweetest series so far! I hope more books will be coming! This is Lane (she owns the furniture store with her twin sister) and Sawyer (former rodeo champ). They were friends growing up until Sawyer kind of broke Lane's heart.... Just love Sawyer's personality and charm! And double virgins!

Short, predictable, cute, unimaginative but fine. I do feel like these authors are losing their edge, most likely due to the amount of books they pump out each year. It’s definitely starting to be quantity above quality unfortunately.

"Sofa King Devotion" is the story of Lane and Sawyer.
Sweet friends to lovers romance with an obsessed hero, an oblivious heroine, some ridiculous drama, sweet lovemaking and happy ending. It was obvious how much the hero loved her.
