Mason Bell was the NAHA’s golden boy—a powerhouse center with a smile made for endorsement deals and a body built for the highlight reel. Now retired, he’s running youth clinics in San Diego, surfing at dawn, and pretending he’s made peace with the past.
Until she walks in.
Jada Pierce. History professor. Thriller author. The woman he ghosted without a goodbye. She’s in town for a writing retreat—and just so happens to be on the guest list for the same destination wedding Mason's been roped into.
Neither of them knew the other would be there. Neither of them is prepared. And neither of them has forgotten how it felt.
Now they’re dodging eye contact over champagne toasts, brushing shoulders during group photos, and trying not to remember exactly how well their bodies used to fit together.
She’s spent years building a life without him. He’s spent years regretting the one he walked away from. And this weekend? Might just rewrite everything.
Read on A sizzling second chance sports romance where somebody's son rethinks his life choices. This BWWM interracial hockey love story delivers heart-pounding steamy encounters, and proves that history can be overcome HEA guaranteed!
I love a good second chance romance with lots of spicy scenes, great dialog, and the right amount of drama. Rebound Reckoning is definitely that book.
When I tell you how this book is a definite must-read! I could not put my Kindle down. Mason and Jada's story had me locked in right from the very beginning. Reading about what took place years prior between Mason and Jada and why they separated had this reader giving Mason the side eye. But fate felt it was time for these two people to see if the sparks were still there, and maybe they could try again. The drama that unfolds in this book had me trying to decide if I was team Jada or team Mason. Cause both of them had me rooting for each of them. Mason had my making notations throughout the whole read. Jada had me shaking my head and wanting to ask her, "gurl, what is going on with you?"
I loved seeing Stefan and Ashley throughout the book! If it's one couple that knows about sports politics and supposed optics, it's them. Jada definitely needed a friend like Ashley in her corner. The same could be said for Stefan and Mason. This was truly a great read from start to epilogue. This series was a big plus, in my opinion. I would definitely recommend it. 10⭐️ for the whole series!
Great loves never go away. Circumstances and selfishness have long lasting effects. Jada and Mason started something when it wasn't their time. Sometimes, the time apart is time to grow fully into who you're supposed to be before committing to love. Love has no timeline. I enjoyed Jada and Masons story. It was great to see everyone else in this series too.
Mason and Jada’s journey shows that love is not always a linear fairytale. There is growth that needs to happen and sometimes that growth needs to happen while they’re apart. Finished this in a few hours and my heart is full. Very well done. Would love a bonus chapter or two 😭.
dnf’d maybe halfway though. just inconsistent with dialogue.. what was already shared between characters and the reader. very repetitive in details and dialogue shared.
