I like stories where co-workers/enemies are hiding sexual tension. It happens everyday in real life. This is what happened with Joel and Sarah. A bet was made at work, someone lost, and became the slave of the other for a day. It happens that Joel doesn't want a slave but a genuine relationship with Sarah.
The story took a twist I didn't expect. At first I didn't understand what brought this on. I really wanted to read about the development of Joel and Sarah's relationship. I want more character development. I don't want these people to be shallow and cookie cutter. But I really want to know who "Sir" is. Why is he/she doing this to Sarah? And how will Sarah find out who this person is? Well Joel ever trust her again? These are the questions I had at the end of the first 2 books.
When reading the next 2 books, parts 3 and 4, Sarah at one point was ashamed that she was becoming aroused by the sexual things "Sir" had her doing. Humans are sexual beings and are aroused by any form of stimulation. I also wish that Joel was more understanding. He was just busting up to conclusions and assuming. And you know what happens when a person assumes... He wouldn't let Sarah explain the situation once she was ready. And what I didn't get was at one point they were supposed to be discussing what's happening because time is of the essence but they were more focused on having sex. That was not the time of that scene. That would have been more effective if sex happened after there was an understanding between Sarah and Joel.
Throughout the books I felt that "Sir" fell out of character. "Sir" had a sense of omnipresence. He was everywhere! At the end of the third book all out took was a text saying there was a family emergency and he accepts it? Was it really that easy? "Sir" was obsessed with Sarah and being a part of her life. Also, I know this wasn't a 300+ page story, but I felt I didn't get b much character development. What about Joel dominant or Sarah submissive? They were just having great sex and he had great ideas to get her off. What about her made him want her? What about him made her trust him enough for her to call him master? Why do I, as a reader, would want to keep reading about these characters? What's special or distinctive about them? I didn't get much more throughout the story. And the final straw was that it was unbelievable that Sarah and Joel would fall in love in only like 3 weeks. Also you only get half of the reasoning for why "Sir" was doing what he was doing. It left it all out in the air.
Overall it was an ok story. Some things could have been better but it was a good story.
This story is wow I never thought it was going in the direction it went but was so excited to see how it would end Lucia Jordon writes fantastic books I have truly loved them all and can't wait for the next one. Never disappointed
Robert is one twisted SOB. Poor Sarah was subjected to being his plaything. COMMAND ME was interesting and insightful. It wasn't my favorite of Lucia Jordan's novels but it was eye-opening to say the least.

Really disappointed with the ending. Expected a few more twists and turns to be honest. The "whodunnit" vibe kept me interested but when all was revealed I barely remembered who the person was as this person was hardly talked about. Was expecting a lit better
Book one ended with so much possibility but the rest of the story was just disappointing. Voyeurism and revenge is not wanted I anticipated but what you get.
It was ok, and seen as it was free on Amazon, I was glad I got it but it was very predictable. I was however glad there was another elemenet to this story other than sex sex sex
