I loved the preview! But deducting one star for the grievous overuse of "rich chocolate skin". Come on IR authors, we can do way better than the food descriptions. They're soooo very overdone.

But so far the story is solid and quite funny.

Ok,I did not expect this book to be this good and I am so glad I was wrong! Nathan and Shakira meet after her mother conned him into leasing her apartment while she was incarcerated for the murder of her ex boyfriend ( she was found not guilty).He was running a sports betting scam that is worth a lot of money and could end the careers of of some of baseball's finest. Upon arriving at her apartment she is shocked to find a man living there. She tries to explain to him what happened but him standing before her in a towel has her distracted to say the least. When Nathan hears her story,he thinks Shakira and her mother were in cahoots and when she reveals her con artist mother has fleed Nathan sees red and decides he knows just how to get her to talk,by seducing her. What Nathan doesn't know is that there is more going on with the Lovely Shakira, there are a host of people after her for what they think she knows and she has no idea what is going on. When she finds a flash drive of her dead exs the situation goes from hot to deadly not just for her but for Nathan as well. I really liked this book,great story,characters, plot and a little mystery. The love and romance between Nathan and Kira was so sweet and hot! I would have never guessed who was the mastermind behind the scam. I was so shocked!

Romance and Intrigue

I am accustomed to Ms Verji’s romantic comedies but this is the first romantic mystery I have read by her. Shakira was just acquitted of killing her ex. She is ready to go home and relax. The only problem is that her mother has rented out her apartment to Nathan Hollis. Nathan is attracted to Shakira but believes that she and her mother are scammers. He sets out to prove his theory but there are other more dangerous people on her trail. Will she forgive him when she realizes that the man she is falling for thinks she is crooked? This is a great story....it started a tad slowly but I LOVED both characters....and the mystery was on point. Kept me guessing.

A Breath Taking Adventure.....

Good read

I really enjoyed the book but I would suggest a better editor or beta because there were a lot of errors. Overall I enjoyed the story. Eve and Edyn are going to be best friends but women are polar opposites. I am glad Nathan and Shakira were able to forgive each other because trust is so vital in a relationship.

I found it initially on Wattpad and couldn't wait for the weekly updates so I just kinda forged ahead. The story is a little convoluted, but the characters are nice. The hero fell a little too hard a little too fast in my opinion but I liked the heroine myself so...

Shakira was fun.

This was a good intense book with a great mystery. I always love when I can't figure out the ending and this one was on point.

A very entertaining read. The words flowed fluidly, despite some grammatical errors. The storyline was pretty fast-paced and definitely kept me interested.

I've only read a couple of interracial books so far (plan to read more), and I'm wondering... is 'chocolate skin' a common colour reference? Because it leaves me guessing as to what type of chocolate. Milk chocolate? Dark chocolate? White chocolate? Chocolate with caramel swirls? I'm just saying.

I really liked the fact that this story was told in dual POV. I can't stress enough how much I enjoy more than one stance or point of view in a book. And a good author can make you feel like you're in the head of the individual character. Linda Verji nailed it. I could feel Shakira's naïveté, her hurt over her mother, her struggle to be good despite her upbringing, her love for those close to her. I could feel Nathan's doubts, his hurt over his mother, and his love for those close to him.

I really enjoyed the mystery throughout this book. I really didn't guess who the true perpetrator was until it was revealed. I love being stumped. The ending was cute and I'm glad for the HEA. I think after all these characters went through, they deserved it.

Alluring

4.00 stars. The romantic murder mystery that is story of Nathan Hollis and Shakira Dalton is a very engaging read. Nathan, a choreographer, wealthy entertainment guru and 'player' meets Shakira when she comes home to find that it has be leased to Nathan by her scheming mother. The storyline takes the reader through the interaction of this couple as they fall in love and through solving the mystery that had landed Shakira in jail.

There were grammatical errors. Several places where tugged was changed to tagged. Put it wasn't often. I thought it had a great storyline. The characters were magnetic. I didn't see the twist coming. It would be really interesting to know London's story and maybe even both brothers, but definitely London! I read this in less than a day. I really enjoyed Kira's story and kept hoping that she would get a deserved happy ending.

A Very Dramatic, Sensual and Exciting Interracial Romance

Wicked Intentions is a very good and exciting interracial romance novel that earned a five star rating. I enjoyed reading this book because it was suspenseful and thrilling. The interracial couple was from different backgrounds but they both had mother issues that drew the two together. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read suspenseful and dramatic romance thrillers.

Very entertaining and captivating story....

At first thought I wouldn't enjoy this story but to my surprise the story turned out to be better than I thought, I nearly cried at one part because it got very emotional and intense. I loved all the characters especially the main ones. Would love another story about the Landa-Hollises about either Zeke or Danny and of course a catch up with Shakira and Nathan. A fantastic read looking forward to more!!!

WOW WE!!!

This is the first time I've ever read any thing from this author, I must say I'm very impressed. This was a great book. Except for a few typo's and a couple missed words I have no complaints.

This was good. It was definitely different. Mystery, action, and heat. Great storyline. Only thing I had a problem with was drinking while pregnant. I would have like to know what Wayne's angle. It kept you guessing. I will definitely read something else by this author.

What an awesome read! Shakira has enjoyed a measure of success and stability despite her humble and turbulent upbringing. She has grit and a huge heart. Nathan is a successful business owner who broke the norm by following his dream. A cheating, dead fiance, two spicy, driven, and meddling mothers from differing backgrounds, a mystery, hot sex wrapped up a juicy novel that I just couldn't put down. And let's not forget the sexy, fine, brothers. Can't wait to read the next books in this series. Thanks Ms. Verji!
