Bridget is a swimming coach at a private club, she persuaded the committee to allow some local children in, for free, to learn to swim, the manager is not happy about it.
Mike is a goalie for Toronto hockey team, he was traded from Quebec and hasn't gelled with the team, in fact the team isn't really playing as a team. He sees Bridget when he's swimming at the club and although he'd like to get to know her better he's concentrating on his career, he hasn't got many years left to play.
After a game he goes back to the club to talk to her, when she comes out her face lights up but she's not looking at him! hilarious!
She gets cross and takes him to her home, which is the basement of her family home, they play street hockey and her brothers join in. Then he's 'adopted' by her mother, so when he's injured and living in a hotel room her mother arranges for her to help him out!
An interesting read, looking forward to reading another one by this author.
