Ossie: My Autobiography

Rate this book
LEON OSMAN made his Everton first-team debut in January, 2003, at the age of 21.

In a career which has also taken in loan spells at Carlisle United and Derby County, he has made more
than 350 appearances for Everton.

One of only seven midfielders to score 50 or more goals in all competitions for the club, Osman’s ability and consistency have also seen him wear the captain’s armband for Everton.

He was awarded a first England cap at the age of 31 in November, 2012.

This book makes a very well known fact even clearer - Leon Osman is blue through and through.

Don't bother reading it unless you're an Evertonian or an Ossie fan. It's written pretty poorly but the content is beautiful. Puts all of Osman's hard work and sacrifices for the club into perspective.

It makes a great read for Everton fans because hearing Ossie's take on his team mates, managers and staff is good fun. Gives you a personal take on them.

Ossie's whet my appetite. I know want more EFC players to write their autobiographies. Can't wait for Tim Howard's. Someone please tell Tony Hibbert he should be next!

Here's hoping this Everton legend wins some silverware before the end of his playing days. He deserves it.

Leon Osmans autobiography was a great read. I've seen lots of reviews about this book that say it's written poorly or not that interesting. However, I found it very interesting and I felt it sounded as if it actually came from him with how it was written and not an actual author. I found the book truthful and hard to put down as I really enjoyed this book. The book is quite funny and gives a good overview of his time at Everton. If you are a fan of the club then this book is definitely for you but it is also good for those for are neutral like me. I've always liked Osman and the qualities that I like him for come through the book as you can tell he is a funny bloke who really tries his hardest when he's out on the pitch. This is one of the best football books I've read this year.

It's like all footballers biogs, mainly crap. It's not his fault he doesn't have much of a story to tell though. Will only be of interest if you support everton, or knew him as a child and want to see if you get a mention.
