Secretly a Disney villain, Kristann began writing her blog (www.thefatgirlrunning.com) as a way to chronicle her weight loss journey. She never dreamed she would soon have over 1K followers on both the blog and on social media. When not avoiding deadlines and stalkers, Kristann can be found in the mountains of Arizona either doing activities that do not require pants or working as a nurse by night. She is currently hoarding Skittles and books in preparation for the apocalypse. Join her and BFF as they plot to take over the world…
The Fat Girl is my hero. This book is so worth read. If you have never read The Running Experiment, you are in for a treat. First there was her blog, then her first book and now her second. I'm a HUGE fangirl so I expected nothing less than tears streaming down my face, my sides hurting, laugh out loud funny. What I got was so much more. This go around Kristann once again treats us to her brand of Fat Girl honesty mixed with hilarity when talking about her struggles weight loss, her ongoing love affair with the House of Mouse, and her newest nemesis...Cancer. The usual suspects are also along for the ride (BFF, Bubby, Pocket GF, Bestie) as well as a few new ones (BFFE and BFFE's hubby). I alternatively giggled, sniffled, laughed out loud, snorted and cried. Yes, cried. Kristann is full of Fat Girl wisdom and good old fashioned encouragement. Not only does she share her struggles and her adventures or maybe I should say misadventures, but she also imparts so very realistic tips about portion control, moderating your sweet tooth, staying healthy during cold & flu season. She also shares her favorite lists...best music to shake your booty to, best movies to watch when you need a down day, as well as some ideas on ways to grieve. She also shares some yummy recipes...most healthy but a few that are not (and I can't wait to try them all). Get this book, get it now. You won't be sorry.
The fat girl has done it again! This newest installment takes us through not only Kristann's journey to loose weight, but also her battle with uterine cancer. Of course, she also throws in the occasional family story and adventures at Disneyland and Comic Con. We also get an insight on what it was like for her when her first book was being published and released. With her unique blend of serious commentary and witty humor, her journey will make you laugh, make you cry, and make you smile.
Another amazing book by a great lady. I am blessed beyond words to call her family. I laughed and I cried with some of her accounts. Love this. everyone should own a copy
Whether it's dealing with snotty neighbors, or kicking cancer's ass, Kristann manages it all with humor, while continuing the running experiment. She's truly an inspiration to me
