Wake The Dead 2

This is a great sequel. While the characters from the first book start the story off strong there are new characters added that really do a great job in moving with the story line instead of holding it back like happens in many sequels. Great zombie read that is a fantastic continuation of the first. I really hope part 3 is out soon.

Sophomore slump

In the second book of the series, the dead have woken again and returned to plague the living. But for most of the book the characters seem to meander around like the zombies they are fighting without direction. Instead of making this bridge to the next book interesting in itself its just standard blacktop whose only purpose is to get to the next bit in the series. I like the authors first book and hope he returns to form in the next.
