Poor Jake :( Jake had every right to be mad at Emilio.

I have been waiting for this story forever! I loved Jake in all the previous previous books. My heart BROKE for him in this one. Would have liked to have seen the cousins go down, too. I also hate how Emilio didn't share anything with Jake.

**I thought Stryker's name was spelled with a 'y' and not an 'i' like it was in this book. I'll have to go back and check.**

Is this the end? I'll be sad if it is, because I like this series.

Sounds like a wrapup book, tying up loose ends. Jake's issues seem to be from left field... Regardless of hiding it due to shame. If he was getting abused and using there would be signs if he was always around the guys at the tattoo shop.

This last book of the series focused around Emilio, and Jake, and how they came to trust each other. Of course, there was danger coming at them from every direction, but they fought hard, especially to protect Jake, who had an evil step father who would beat him mercilessly. Jake was doing drugs, not to mention being very self loathing, but Emilio was there for him and pulled him from the darkness into the light. There was more communication between the two main characters in this book, and Lonnie was still humorous, and feisty as ever. I'm going to miss these guys, since their stories were all so intriguing.

This wasn't near as good as it sounded or as I thought it would be. I think it was bc there was so much focus on outside forces as opposed to the focus being on emilio and Jake. I do respect that Jakes drug addiction was neither the main focus nor was it glossed over. That can be difficult bc we obviously don't want to read abt his addiction in graphic dirty detail yet had the author slid it under the rug we as readers would have criticized it for being "unbelievable". So I think she did a great job with that.
I just wish the romance had been executed with the same attention to detail.
On a side note, Emilio Alvarez... cracked me up! There was one point in the story Jake yells "Emilio!!!!" And I died laughing! Totally classic movie reference. I wonder if the author did it on purpose lol..

This is the conclusions to the Dark Rider series and it was awesome. Jake has had a hard life abused by the only family he has left. He only truly feels safe when he hangs out at Andromeda. What is Jake to do when he see the one he wants, buts does not want him? When Jake witness something and the Dark riders said they will help to protect him. This make you feel that there is love out there, you just have to fight for it. Highly recommend this series.

I loved this series I hope this is the last one because if it is the series ended perfectly I feel most of the time there are to many books in a series and lynn hagen tends to do that but after so many they turn in to the same book just different people we all know the there is going to be a happy ending I really liked this book none of the love was love a first sight and there was just enough sex and story to make you keep reading.

I've come to like this series, and Lonnie certainly just made this book for me. He actually had me cracking up out loud at one point, and it so rarely happens when I read.

"I think my boot just violated my anal cavity!"

I also like the fact that Lynn Hagen tends to give her MCs a realistic "flaw" to overcome. Gives a bit of depth.

Sad that this series is over. I really enjoyed them. The Dark Riders were sexy as hell and yet so loving and considerate of their lovers. Tate, Garrett, Lonnie and Jake were a wonderful addition to the group, especially Lonnie, his character was truly epic.

I love Lynn Hagen books but I do wish more care would be taken during editing. Incorrect names and words can become very frustrating.
