The events and ideas for Blue at Midnight were inspired by the many unimaginable ‘what ifs’ that could occur in a small forgotten town. There are many dreary towns like this where people either fade away like the old, derelict factories or become workaholics with the hope of one day escaping. Blue at Midnight is about the possibility of this hope unknowingly attracting the attention of a newcomer, one that carries a burden of his own. The second book in the Blue at Midnight Trilogy, The Rightful Place, is due to be released in September 2014.
