When Sleep Comes is about a teacher who finds herself in a slump. She is always helping others and tends to forget about herself. This book is spicy, but has an amazing plot. The way Ezra King writes this story will have you wanting more!
My favorite quote: "I am you," she said simply. "The you without restraint. Without fear. Without the chains you've bound yourself with.” It a reminder to myself as a woman, a mother, a wife, a friend, etc. Seeing yourself through another person’s eyes can be liberating and terrifying all at once, but seeing yourself for who you are is a reminder of the life you have created for yourself. It’s a reminder that we are so much more than we give ourselves credit for.
This book wrecked me in so many levels. I didn’t want it to end. I wish I could read it again for the first time!

I just got this book today(10/27/2024). And I just read this novella quickly. It’s just chef’s kiss(imo). I loved the spice. It was well written. I loved the FMC. She is someone I would love to be friends with.
Run don’t walk to get this book. It’s a perfect read for the Spooky Season.

Picking up this book I knew this wasn't the typical book that I would read. I went in blindly and came out loving this book. The spice was just enough and the fantasy wasn't too much. Did Ezra just get this girl to like fantasy?! Hmmm....?!?!

Wow is the first word that comes to my mind. This book is VERY spicy in a good symbolic way. It has a fun yet healing way about it. Absolute spooky euphoric madness in all the best way
The imagery in this book was beautifully written. The detail in the description painted a clear picture of the characters setting perfectly. I could feel the
Halloween/spooky season energy within these pages.
Not to mention Cori, the main characters best friend, was hilarious. Everyone should have a friend like Cori.
Overall, this book sucked me in and released me feeling unsettled to the shadows always lurking in our sleep.

When a book is so well written you don't know how to move forward after reading the last sentence. The symbolism, growth and transformation we see in Celeste is equivalent to an emotional roller-coaster. A reminder to live authentically and passionately. Don't just exist for the expectation of others. I feel like I could say more, and maybe I will when I am able to piece myself back together.

If you are wanting a paranormal quick spicy read this is the book to read! The amount of spicy in this book is just *chefs kiss* it’s not overly exaggerated but draws you in right off the back. Watching her realize things about herself as she is visited by these ‘monsters’ was done amazingly well. But one of my favorite things about this book was the world building that made you feel like you were right there living it. I cried healing tears at the end of this book after what happened to her and it is such a serious topic that was handled so well and I love it so much.

Characters were one - dimensional and lacked any depth, making it hard to connect with them. Underdeveloped characters, and a lack of compelling narrative.

Areas were tedious, repetitive, boring and worse than watching paint dry. Story was flat with a predictable plot.
Readers seeking a thought - provoking or engaging story should look elsewhere.
Clearly evident that this newly established author has trouble writing their own works, and has sourced their materials from other writers to claim credits.
Dont waste your time or money on this books.

This is an absolute MUST read!
Outstandingly beautiful writing, a heart-wrenching story, spice that is absolutely chef's kiss, twists and turns you don't see coming, and incredibly relatable... holy wow. Such a beautiful portrayal. I'm in awe.
If you love dark romance, spice, vampires, werewolves, a shadow daddy, whatever you do, do not miss this!!

Paranormal, dark romance, and one twisted ride
This was one hell of a ride. Celeste is not your average person. All her deep dark desires are nothing short of torment for her until she can fulfill her needs.

This book was a rollercoaster from start to finish. Celeste's story is beautiful and I was captivated from the first chapter. From the spicy scenes to the deep soul bearing scenes, it kept you in the center of the story.
The ending....wow. I don't know what else to say but I'm happy that Celeste found her peace.

I definitely would not recommend this book to a Christian 🤣🤣 This book, however, had me enthralled. I finished it quickly and loved every second of it. The plot twists were unexpected and had me reading faster than I could register the words to find out the ending. And the ending. Omg this book is worth every last star

ARC reader: When sleep comes was a great short read for the spooky season! I recommend this book if you like monsters, sexy scenes, and also a little humor.

This book has like everything you could want, spicy spice pain and healing. I devoured this book and am just in awe. I wasn’t always happy with Celeste but that’s what made it so good. It was the darkness and the hurt. So so so good

Spicy, dark, paranormal & mythical beings?? This was such a breath of fresh air, oddly healing. Celeste and Cori have such an amazing dynamic throughout. Sucked me in and ripped my heart out. I fear I won’t stop thinking about this one for a while. Such amazing writing style, now I need more! 🖤

Not a fan. The premise was good but it just didn’t work for me. The fmc and her best friend are obnoxious and cringe worthy especially the scene outside the haunted maze when the fmc starts to feel a “darker” side of her personality toward the guy in the mask just trying to do his damn job 😆😆😆
