Fan Comment "Was very pleased when I got the book as quickly as I did, I was excited to start reading. I knew only a few pages into it, it was going to be a "can't put it down" type of book. It is a quick read book, great for a rainy weekend. This book kept my attention from start to finish. I found myself going through a series of different emotions with the characters in the book. From anger, to frustration, to happy, to sad, to excited.
It was a book that at the end I was sorry that it was over. One suggestion, keep a box of tissues handy. A Job well done goes out to the author."

While this novel isn't the type I would normally read, I found myself captivated by the characters and their lives. An adult novel, not suitable for those under 18, it definitely didn't skimp on the goods when dealing with passion and relationships. However, what had me hooked was the main character's relationship with her younger siblings. As a mother, the fear of losing your children in any way is paralyzing, and Steel explored this fear without hesitation. As Jules laid in bed for days, mourning the loss of her young ones, my own tears fell. I felt for her, crawled into bed with her, and cried as she did. It was a touching and very real take on human relationships.

As the knight in shining armor, Jeremy did his best to sustain his urges for Jules. I couldn't help but chuckle at the blatant lust-filled thoughts from something as simple as eating a cannoli. All the same, he found himself smitten with the simple girl and falling in love before he even knew what love was. He was charming and selfless as he fed his need to do all he could to help his new love and her siblings.

In short, I laughed, I cried and everything in between. G.D. Steel will hook you in with her impeccable explanations of human nature and a few twists you weren't expecting. While the dialogue wasn't in my taste, it worked with the storyline and fit to the situations the characters found themselves in. Truly a great read! Worth revisiting if there's ever a Jersey Daze 2!

This is a good book to settle down with. I really liked Jeremy. Once he got a taste of what it was like to be among the Hastings family, he really seemed to want to be a part of their madness. He genuinely cared about all of them, especially Jules. This book went between 3 and 4 stars for me, because, to be honest, I wasn't completely sure about Jules as a character. I sort of got the impression she was using him, a thought which she voiced herself, but it took me a bit to get past.
Harry was a nasty boy and made it difficult for Jules to work with him, but the style of writing made you feel her discomfort and Harry's dark side. Your heart will go out to Jules's 4 siblings. They had a difficult time, especially when placed in foster care, and Jules had a hard time accepting it. And that is when you root for Jeremy even more. he had a heart of gold to want to take all that on, and his anger at Harry for doing what he did to Jules makes you appreciate him more. This was a really good book and worth investing the time into it.

Ah, the cozy girl-meets-boy romance...

But it's so much more. This family-oriented storyline adds a nice touch of home to the typical not-so-realistic happily ever after. Just enough realistic drama to fill in the holes in the fairy tale we're all used to.

Being a single 24/7/365 mom, I really enjoyed the family friendly character in this book. It really called out to me and my own life. And the romance side of it, oh! Isn't that what we single mommies always dream of?

Due to graphic content, this is not for the faint of heart. It is, however, a fantastic story and an easy read. All you chick flick lovers out there, this is definitely the story for you. Grab your slippers and a glass of wine, and cozy up in your favorite reading chair. You won't be able to put this one down!

This was somewhere between 3 and 4 stars for me. Ultimately, it was an easy read which was well written. Steel has delivered the storyline we expect from erotica type novels, but has added in a few other threads to maintain suspense, and make the characters likeable and believable.
I enjoyed how the 'main event' was given space and build up. I think too often, in novels such as these, the chase is over before it's begun and this can leave the story feeling flat. Not a problem in Jersey Daze!
The love interest was fan-face worthy, the main character suitably gorgeous (though there were a few times I wished she'd stand up for herself!), and the story flowed well.
A good story and professional copy - for lovers of erotica

It is a 90 degree day and I am reading a Holiday romance. I could claim it was sweat making my eyes run but...... Emotional reading this one. Jules as a big sister is the best. She chose to sacrifice everything so that she could keep her family together after her father and step mother had been killed in a car accident. They were surviving but barely when she loses custody of the children because she is too young, too poor and a single person. Her new boss steps forward with an interesting proposition, marriage and get the kids back through adoption. Can Jules sacrifice herself to marry a man who does not love her? But he loves her family and that is enough for her. Corporate intrigue figure in slightly, hot steamy sex melt the pages of the book. What a treat.

Such a sweet story but filled with so much pain. Jules is a hard worker whom also looks after her four younger siblings after a tragedy takes their parents. Even though it's a struggle she manages until something else horrible happens completely shattering her world. Jeremy is the hard working CEO always busy never taking time for himself until Jules smashes into his life literally. He feels the need to help her in anyway he can.
G. D Steel has done a wonderful job of this story. For all those that think having a curvy girl get the guy is unrealistic why are you reading? It's a story you can escape into for a few hours and believe anything is possible.

A wonderful read.

This is no ordinary romance; it's so much more. A family thrown into torment by the loss of parents and a brave young woman determined to take up the task of keeping the family together. Will she be able to cope, how she will juggle the children and her job not to mention the romance. This is fiction at its best, so I'm not going to spoil your enjoyment of a brilliant story by telling you more. I read and enjoyed every word of this book and highly recommend it.

G. D. Steel has beautifully written a story of love, family and hope. After tragedy strikes, the ability to rise above and not let adversity win, but, to rise to the challenge of raising your siblings shows what a strong person Juliana is. This is a such a wonderful story of struggle, family and love. I truly recommend this beautifully written story. This is my first book I have read of G. D. Steel, but, it won't be my last. :)

This book pulls at your heartstrings.
You never know when you'll bump into your hero/ man of your dreams. This holiday romance takes you through an array of emotions. Life's tragic struggles fuel the build up of a sweep you off your feet steamy love story. You may need to dab your eyes a time or two also.

Do you want a story that has it all, then pick this book! Personal loss and trials to keep a family together. A first love that sneaks up on you. A devious man who won't take no for an answer and believes the word owes him. A sexy young girl that has no idea of her beauty inside and out.

If you are looking for a love story to brighten your mood and relax after a stressful day, this is the one to grab. The heroine is a strong, warm-hearted woman who takes care of her little siblings after the death of her parents and lives through some really depressing and frustrating situations but doesn't let them bring her down. Her knight in shining armor doesn't know what hits him when he meets her and he learns quickly that work isn't all there is but that something crucial was missing from his life. He treats her with respect (which I really like) and she doesn't let him pay for everything (which I adore!) and together they make everything possible.

The end was a bit rushed and I missed that special moment I felt the story was building up to after the suspense and excitement (she really has to endure much, so if you are very sensitive, maybe you'll be shocked nearing the end - but I thought it was totally ok, written very nicely, not too hard). So I would have liked a more sugary moment of truth between the two - but that's just me and if I could have taken only half a star of for that I would have.

One last thing I want to say is that I love the cover, it's great that she's not one of the skinny, skin-showing unreal model types but a real woman, sexy and attractive!

Great Romance!
This was a great romance by G.D. Steel. Julianna Hastings lost her dad and stepmother and had to put her grief on hold to take care of her younger siblings. When she losses custody of them in a custody hearing she is overcome with grief and doesn’t know what to do. When she literally bumps into Jeremy who is a successful businessman he is pulled into her family. Jeremy will do anything to help Julianna. If you are looking for a great romance that will make you feel all kinds of emotions then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.
A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

This is a touching story about a young, single woman named Julianna, Jules to those who love her, who has been left with the responsiblity of taking care of her four younger siblings upon the death of their parents. Taking care of the children has been a struggle for Jules, but she loves them dearly and wouldn't trade her situation for anything in the world. Her boss and CEO of the company she works for takes an interest in Jules and helps her when she needs it the most. I really enjoyed the fairy tale aspect of this story that takes place in a real world setting. It is a refreshing and modernized take on the princess finding her knight in shining armor.
