This series started out fantastic. I could hardly wait for the new ones. Now I'm just waiting for it to END.

This story is getting too involved and complicated.
Sean is an asshole one chapter then he's trying to help the next. I'm getting tired of all this back and forth between them.

Avery doesn't even make sense anymore, she's just starting to get on my nerves all the time now. Why is she acting so stupid?

I barely even understand what's going on anymore. There's a new character every five minutes. Everyone's trying to kill her or Sean all the time. It's very tiring.

I honestly want to know how many more there are going to be and when it finally does come to an end it seriously better be a HEA because I did not read 17 shorts each one getting more and more frustrating for it not to turn out good for Avery and Sean.

There comes a time when the author needs to know enough is enough. This hot and cold thing isn't going to work anymore and you have to finish off the series.

I would like to say I'm not going to read the next one but I will because I'm waiting for it to wrap up.

I got this with Kindle Unlimited and for that I'm grateful. I can't imagine paying $2.99 just to end up frustrated and annoyed when I'm finished reading.

I only gave this 2 stars and MAYBE 2.5 for Seans POV. Even if I couldn't figure out what the hell he was thinking anyway. It was a treat to read his emotions.

Yeah, I think I'm done. Waiting months for a chapter or two is more than I can handle. This isn't the same story I began reading anymore, it needs to end now or just fizzle off. Either way, I just can't anymore. Sorry Mrs. Ward, I love you but I just cant.

I am so disappointed with the way this series went! It started so good even with the crazy cliffhangers it had me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book but now. Not only do I not know what's going on I am annoyed with what I do understand. I wish it would just end already and I am not sure how many more I will read. If it doesn't end in the next one I am done and If there is no happily ever after for Sean and Avery I am gonna be REAL PISSED OFF. BRING BACK THE SEAN WE ALL KNOW AND LOVE BECAUSE YOU LOST HIM!!!!

I will start by saying that since Goodreads does not give the option for 1/2 stars I was generous when I rated this next installment of the Arrangement series by giving it 1 star, I don't even believe that it deserved that much. Much like the last 3 books that have been released in this series, this latest one was just as much of a disappointment if not more. I know some people reading my review will comment as to why I continue to read them. I will say it is mere curiosity at this point. This series has gone so far off course and has become so ridiculous that I have to see where HM Ward it taking it. I wonder if she has an outline. Or does she just sit down one day, write 80 or so pages and upload it. I also wonder every time I look at the 5-star reviews, are the readers that provide those ratings actually reading the same book that I am. Are they honest reviews or are they "fluff" reviews. I am always honest when I read and review a book but I don't know if others follow the same thinking. You can like an author, you can like some of the books that they have written and not enjoy them all. This is definitely one of those times. I loved this series when it started, and I always waited patiently for the next one to come out but they have gotten so insanely ridiculous that I no longer anticipate their release like I once did.

How the characters have changed throughout this series is so strange to me. Not one has stayed true to the initial character that they started out as. I know that characters need to grow but these characters aren't growing, or redeeming something from their past, they are changing completely which leads me to believe that the author has somehow forgotten how she started them off in the first place. Marty is a perfect example. He was a loyal friend, who was supposedly gay that later turned out to be faking that because he never corrected Avery when she assumed. He paid for her time once as a call girl, but it was never explained where he got the money as he was supposed to be a struggling college student. Now we find out that he is actually a member of the mob and he is loaded. That he was supposed to get close to Avery to gather some proof that her mother supposedly hid that could bring an entire crime family down. Absurd. We also find out that everyone close to Avery is in on this, all trying to get the information she supposedly had (but only actually found in book 16), even Mel. Why would Mel offer Avery the opportunity to have a job with Black in order to make money so that she could stay in school if her sole purpose was to get close to Avery in order to get her hands on the proof. Doesn't make much sense. She could have just been her friend like she was in the beginning books and done the same thing. Sean has changed so many times throughout these 17 books that I have whiplash trying to figure out which character he is going to be. Now the reader is back with the nasty Sean who cares about no one but himself. He wants to take over an entire drug empire? Come on. They don't even do such things in gangster movies, I feel like I am reading the script from General Hospital or Days of Our Lives instead of a New York Times Bestselling series. How this series even made that list boggles my mind to this very day.

The idea that Sean's shooting, his stay in the hospital and then his kidnapping was all a big hoax so that they could keep Avery safe was so unrealistic that I actually turned back the page when this was revealed to make sure that I was reading it correctly. That Marty was in on the whole thing in order to keep her safe? And after everything, giving her the ring, telling her all that he has, he is now saying that the entire thing was all a game so that he could get his hands on this ledger. The fact that Peter has been such a huge character in these last two books still doesn't sit well with me. His story with Sydney was told how much he hated his family that he changed his name from Ferro, I cannot see him coming to the rescue here. And where is Sydney during all of this? They are always together or so it was written in his books. I have said it before and I stand behind it, tying all of the series together, after the fact is only a way to boost the sales of the other series. It almost forces you to read them so that you can better understand what the hell is going on in this one, but even having read them, you will never understand because these books no longer make any sense. After 17 books the reader is no closer to a resolution, there is no end in sight to this cash cow that HM Ward has created. And I have no doubt that these books will continue to be published with the story taking more turns then make sense so that she can continue to make money off of them. I am glad that this book was lent to me because I refuse to pay for this attempt at writing. I would highly recommend that NO ONE starts this NEVER ENDING HORRIBLY WRITTEN series or you will be sucked into a vortex that you can't escape from.

Why would anyone write 17 instalments of a book and it's still not finished? This isn't about anticipation and build up any longer, this is about greed. The storyline is becoming ridiculous and so far fetched. I hate not finishing a book or a series, I just want an ending.

I am getting so sick of this series....it is now becoming so damn unbelievable. The author wants to make this into a TV series so bad, yet she can't even give this series an end. I think this is going to be the last on in the series I read.....It also pisses me off that I have been reading this series since it started and now that she is writing a book a day she is entwining all the different books and conning you into buying them just to stay in the look. Well you won't be getting anymore of my money! Also if this series was so good a movie studio would want to turn it into something!

This is a spoiler free review so please, read away peeps.

OMG.
I was just totally mind f***ed
From the beginning with The Arrangement #1 I was sucked into the world of Avery and Sean. Every book has been a journey of never ending surprises. You think you know where the story is going, you think you got it all figured out, you think FINALLY Sean is going to do it right, but BAM!! Something totally awesome just sweeps in and takes over. Let me tell you, AR #17 does NOT disappoint. I was biting my nails when Marty kidnapped well…man-napped Sean. I was just thinking “This crazy, not gay, psycho did not just take my man!” Well the story picks up right where it left off. And all I can say is…
It’s. About. To. Go. Down!
Avery puts on her big girl panties and takes the bull by the horn! EVERYTHING you thought you knew…Ha! Think again baby.
Holly I totally have a girl crush on you. All your books are amazeballs and The Arrangement series…sigh
No words can express how awesome this is.

This one was better than the last few BUT is it my imagination or are the instalments getting shorter??? And there seems to be more questions than answers each book... WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?????
I'm all for the "fan driven serial" but come on!!! We need some freaking ANSWERS!!!
I'm not complaining about $$ but I would like some more bang for for my buck - I read this in 20 minutes!!!
I think I'll hold off on the next few "chapters" so I can actually escape for longer than it takes for me to have a cup if tea and a couple of ciggies...
Holly, you haven't lost a fan, YET, but please can we have some answers and perhaps a finish line in sight????

Avery is set on doing what it takes to rescue Sean, even if that means meeting with the man that took him, Marty. But as Avery is face to face with Sean and Marty, she is stunned by the revelations that they both expose. Nothing has been what it has seemed. Everything has been a lie but Avery refuses to admit that the feelings she shared with Sean is included in those lies.

Well this installment was a complete WTF read. Part of me would like to think that this idea had always lingered in HM Ward’s mind but since this series was been extended into seventeen parts so far, I would guess that the latest twist wasn’t always the original direction.

There is no doubt that she has the ability to write, create characters you love or master the art of sucking in readers to her serial series. That being said though, I think it is long past time that this one is wrapped up. The story line is becoming so farfetched and drawn out, each book seems to have less and less in it because these new twists are consuming the word count, leaving the readers with far less Sean & Avery.

Sean’s broken gimmick is now becoming too overdone. I get it... you’re fucked up. Poor baby. Grow up and move on. My favorite kind of hero... broken and damaged... well Sean is sort of ruining the appeal of that right now.

And Avery... Jesus. The worst hooker in the world and yet, books ago she’s offered to take over – why? She couldn’t sleep with more than one client. She never had more than two other clients, both of which she never slept with – but somehow she is so good that she would be the one to take over? Seriously? Then with the twist in this one. What she thinks she’ll do to save Sean... such a stretch. Somewhere in this story the idea that Avery is something more than what’s been explained was lost. Her character was never built to be this character that she’s been playing. And the further this story goes the more that I can’t seem to fall into line with it.

I’ve faithfully read the prior installments of this series and although there are a ton that still love this series, I am one that can’t find that same spark. The longer this series goes on the more I am finding myself less interested in the desire to read the other books I’ve been waiting for. I wanted Peter’s second book. I needed the grown up Trystan book... but The Arrangement has hijacked those and I am not sure if I will still have any interest in reading them once they are released.

My issue with the number of books in this series has zero to do with the cost but all to do with the story. I honestly believe that a great story just got lost along the way along and I am torn between giving in just to see how this series ends or asking fellow readers to just spill it once it is done.

So I should start by saying I don't normally do 2 star reviews - my feeling is usually if a book is put out worth less that 3 stars then it's not worth my effort to put in a review but I feel compelled to write something about the sad demise of The Arrangement series.

I discovered Holly after reading Damaged (books which I did and still love). I sucked up like a sponge everything she'd written, adoring each book as much as the last and hyperventilating at an impending release. Then I come across the Arrangement series. At first I was enthralled with Sean and Avery's story. There was so much potential, so much excitement and this continued for a while. Then these feelings started to diminish only to be replaced with frustration and confusion and sheer bewilderment. The excitement for an impending release had been replaced with a pleading and begging for a conclusion to their story.

I know The Arrangement is a FAN-DRIVEN serial but, and not being an author I am surmising here, there must come a point where your integrity comes into play. I am a fan of Holly but without a doubt this series should of ended, at the very least, 5 installments ago and this brings me, sadly, to the release of AR17.

No more excitement, no more begging and stalking for an ARC, I had it on my kindle 3 days before I even decided to read it and all of this makes me sad and that's before I even read it. Any true fans won't be surprised to know that, upon reading, my feelings of confusion and frustration revealed themselves yet again.

This installment confirmed a couple of things for me - there is absolutely no end game in sight yet and an overwhelming feeling that even the author has no idea where the story is going, which for me is a concern.

The only reason I have continued to read in the past is because I've invested so much time and money in Avery & Sean I felt a compulsion to know how their story was going to end. AR17 has pushed me to the sad decision I'm no longer bothered what happens.

The only fair advice I can give is if you haven't started the Arrangement series do yourself, and your pocket, a favour and give them a miss. Try Damaged or the Secrets series (written as Ella Steele).

Book 17 and counting

there is no doubt HM Ward writes a wonderful action packed story and I have enjoyed each part of Sean's books however I am growing tired of these little snippets and find myself desperate for the end. If these were longer books I could more readily justify the cost but now 17 books in I am increasingly frustrated. I am giving the book four stars because I like the series but I would rate my frustration a 5 star. Give me 200 pages for the price.

Why oh why do I keep buying these. I truly enjoyed the first installments of this series, but I have been disappointed pretty much since AR13. I keep hoping that if I give it one more try I will be surprised/satisfied with the story. Not so much. This last installment, AR 17, felt like it was phoned in. There are no answers or resolutions, only more questions. I know that the author does this to keep people (me included) coming back and purchasing more books. But let's be honest if these books, and I use that term loosely, were in print format only No One would pay 2.99 for a 125 page book in a series that never ends. I understand that the author says this series is fan driven and writes more because that's what people want. Well what about her fans that just want it to end? I have made comments on Facebook and Amazon to this effect. While I did have people agree with me about resolving the series, what I mainly got were nasty uber fans making comments that eventually resulted in the thread being shut down. If Ms. Ward were really listening to ALL of her fans and not just her bank account the next installment would be longer (more that 125 pages), have more content, and END.

Well holy smokes I honestly cannot believe that just happened. Mrs. Ward has thrown me again. In the last installment Sean was kidnapped by Marty which so had me ready to kick some lying, cheating bootay. Then Avery gets to him and holy crap on toast things get weird from there. I don't want to spoil anything but I will say this, whatever you expect to happen when Avery finds Sean think again.

The mob, shootings, planned deaths, secrets, assassins, and evil woman are hiding everywhere. Mel may or may not be in on it. Everything and everyone in Avery's life is a big ball of mystery and this last installment will definitely be questioning everything you know about this series.

Awesomeness, we got to have some Sean time with a chapter all for himself. While you may wonder at the kind of man he is you don't have to anymore with the little insight we get. He's messed up yet, but he is oh so Ferro perfect sauce and you are not going to want to miss out of grabbing this latest installment of the Arrangement Series.

Avery as usual is awesome. While there were some installments in this series that had me second guessing my love for her this latest installment has completely wiped that away. She's facing a threat like no other and it's definitely bringing out Avery's survival mode. Her love for Sean is just as crazy and manic as before but I mean when you're in love with a Ferro.... Avery plans on figuring out what's what and saving everyone she can, including self-sacrificing Sean.

So Arrangement 17 is something amazing to behold. So much took me by surprise. This latest installment is definitely a wild ride. I loved every freaking second of this book and I definitely craving some more awesome Ferro time.

Final note and don't stone me but I am honestly ready for Avery and Sean to get their happy ending, which they need to get because they have suffered so much. I am ready for that too happen.

I received an ARC for an honest review. Spoiler alert!!!! Beware!!! I love this series so much. I'm so addicted to Sean. I hate that he keeps lying to Avery though. I know he's only trying to protect her and keep her alive. But he continually hurts her. She's so in love with him. Now she is faced with the fact that her parents were murdered because her mom has mob info. Now Sean needs those papers to take over the mob to keep Avery alive. He's doing all this for her. He has to make her hate him. He has to get those papers from her to protect her and his families secrets. She refuses to let him take over the mob. She knows he's better than that. So she runs to decide what to do. Now she needs to join forces with either his mom or Black. But they both terrify her. Everyone has lied to her about who they are to try to get their hands on those papers. She decides to go to Seans mom but Sean answers the door. Ugh I hate these cliffhangers but I can't stay away. This series is so addicting. I'm glad we got a chapter in Sean's POV so we know that he still loves Avery.

This story has been fascinating us and continues to become more engrossing and complex. It is very hard to write a review and not spoil this stew of emotions and happenings.

As is her usual "modus operandi" (MO to those of us that love crime stories), HM Ward continues to weave an intricate design of human frailty combined with dark emotions. I cannot say for certain that anything I thought was a sure thing in this plot line has not surprised us and become a new twist. What I say for sure is that our author is teaching us that nothing is life is totally black and white. We all are a combination of a good side, as well as a dark side, which possesses its own depth and so never fully discovered.

What would you do for someone you love? To what extremes would you go in order to protect them? Would you go into your dark side and become so ensnared that you would forget who you were at your core and lose yourself?

Again, I am amazed as to the dark recesses of our author's mind and her ability to continue spellbinding us with a story that cannot be surpassed.

I love this serial. I will continue to read it and recommend it to my friends. That doesn't mean I won't have my frustrations with it from time to time.

The longer the serial continues, the more complicated things become. I'm having a hard time keeping up with everything and now what I thought I knew has been turned on its side.

I instantly fell in love with Sean at the beginning. Now, I'm really beginning to hate him. Pick a personality. Admit your feelings, regardless of what other people may think. Please, for the love of all things pure and decent, DO NOT push Avery and Trystan together!!

Things are only going to heat up from here and I know H. M. Ward will not disappoint. I can't wait to see what happens next.

AR17 Finally an AR book that made me say WOW again.. H.M. Ward found her groove again in this one. I couldn't put it down and I feel like we are moving forward towards answers, we aren't moving on an express train just a local one with many more stops but we are moving. Avery gets a few answers and Sean shows himself a bit more. Marty is Marty and is a bit out there but we learn some about him. Oh and the coffee can Avery finds we figure that out too. Now I still want to know more about Mel, Black and of course Trystan since I am still hoping for a Avery and Trystan baby. I was really disappointed in the last few H.M. books but this one has brought back some of my FERRO drive.

Avery has to decide who can help her most. With Sean missing she only have to two choices. Trust Peter or go with Marty. She isn't completely sure how to make this choice, but choose she must. What she discovers once the choice is made rocks her world all over again.

I can't put these books down. They are so action packed and we are learning soooo much information. I can't contain my giddiness. I'm just so excited by how quickly they are moving. So 15 was meh, 16 was exciting, but 17 was just so go, go, go I'm loving it. We are finally getting to the real meat of the story and it is so eye popping. I really don't want to say much other than hurry and get to 18 it keeps getting better. I'm loving these books, they are a elongated soap opera :) Enjoy

Just when you think you know what's going on, you're thrown into the ring with some crazy scary stuff. You won't see any of this coming and you will be saying what the hecks all over the place...

The tears will flow and you will have no control over them, they come out of the blue and leave just as fast as they came especially when you let out a SCREAM and nearly fall off your bed from jumping back!!! You will have a bunch of crossover and wonder how it could possibly get worse. Your body will ache, so will your mind, you will be a snot covered mess, you will need to take some aspirin for the heart attack you're given.

The blood will spill and not the way you even imagined. Just when you thought you had this whole thing figured out, you've been completely blindsided! Are people who they say they are? Or is Avery in some wild nightmare of fantasy of a dream this whole time.

Are her parents alive? Did Sean die? Does Avery leave it all in the wake for Tristan? Or Sean? Or Peter??? Maybe Mel? Oh wait, does she fall into Marty's arms?

The things you learn are nothing like what you thought! Is Sean a duranged man and you've developed these feelings for a fairy tale? Well the only way to find out is to get on the rollercoaster, baby.

Grab your popcorn, your kleenex, and your favourite wildlife stuffed animal because you're in for one hell of a bumpity bump bump of a ride. Hold on to your seat, forget the panties and get ready because you're in for a real trip. Best ride so far!!!!

As always, this is a series with hopefully no ending in site so if this isn't what you're looking for have a look at the other standalone and completely omnibus's... My love Bryan was calling out...come to me!

The Arrangement 17 The Ferro Family (The Arrangement, #17) by H.M. Ward

Sean Ferro is one of the sexiest book boyfriends ever!! HOT! HOT! HOT!

The plot continues to thicken and the unknown players and wild cards are unpredictable! Everything you thought you knew is questionable....except for 2 things. One, Sean is definitely up to more than he leads on, and he does everything he does (good or bad) for the love he has for family. Two, nothing is as it seems. Avery is finally starting to realize that things are not simple and that she has a huge role in many people's lives...and is ready to start living again. These 2 things will lead to epic plot twists and reveals that will keep us all on the edge of our seats as the story unravels.

H.M. Ward has gifted us with the mysterious, sexy Ferro family...and I cannot thank her enough! Of all of the Ferro men, Sean still holds my heart with his broody moods, dirty mouth, and self-loathing. He is capable of redemption...but will he allow himself that freedom in forgiveness??

The Arrangement series is amazeballs...I eagerly wait for the next installment!

Mini Review Time - Ugggg I just finished the next installment of The Arrangement #17. If you don't know about this serial, than jump on board another crack train. This one so far has 17 books in the series and there's not an end in sight. It's a romance, it's dark, it's about redemption, it's about lies and secrets, it's about sacrifice and change and........it's as addicting as crack!!! I know I use that term a lot for my serials that I follow but come on, if you follow any of them, you know it's true. They give you little hits at a time until you're so addicted, you will pay the $2.99 just for your next hit. Ok, moving on.....about Arrangement 17. Out of the whole series so far, this one probably sheds the most light on the entire backstory and what the "f" is going on but again leaves you with more questions. I mean when Avery says "Up until now, I thought the person I needed to be afraid of was Miss Black. Now, she seems to be the least of my worries." That pretty much ties it all up in a nice bow. There is a bigger fish out to get Avery and has been from the get-go and Sean being Sean has put himself smack in the cross-hairs to protect her but of course isn't going to tell her. And then there's Marty, uggggg once you think you've figured him out.....BAM.....it's changed again. This is why I freakin' love me some H.M. Ward! Always keeps you guessing. Well now I have to wait for my next hit of crack.....when is Arrangement 18 out????

I got a copy of this as a ARC from the author in return for an honest review.

Wow just when you think things couldn't get anymore crazy, this story is like a soap opera on drugs and I love it! In this installment we find out exactly what Avery is up against and honestly I can't help but feel her back is firmly up against a wall.

My heart broke for Avery their was betrayal at every turn, Mel, Sean, Marty, you know you hit tough times when you are contemplating trusting Constance Ferro.

I love Peter I was so happy he was in this book he is such a genuine character with a good heart, if anybody can help Avery I think it's him.

I'm angry at Sean I really am.. I am so fed up with him and his man against the world routine. More then once I shouted at him to get a grip! Trust! Let our girl in! At this point I can't help but feel he doesn't deserve her no matter if he was trying to help her or not, which pains me to say.. Because I truly wanted a happy ending for them sigh.

All the Ferro men need to act like men and stop being little boys when it comes to that mother of theirs!

Of course it ended on a cliff hanger and I can't wait for the next installment. If only Avery and Sean could get it together they would be a force to be reckoned with.

I received The Arrangement 17 as an ARC, from H.M. Ward, in exchange for an honest review.

I have been following The Arrangement series since #1, and I have to say, it has been a long time, lol.

I enjoyed the book, although, I find it's getting away from the hot heated love triangle, and going into a suspense. Which is ok, but I rather the beginning of the series.
I will continue to follow it until the end, at least I hope there will be an end.

I always loved Sean from the beginning, but he has me second thinking that, he is really starting to piss me off now, I just want to strangle his ass, lol

H.M. Ward is one of the greatest authors that I have had privlage to of reading her books. She has been doing alot of writing, with other series as well. She is also a strong person, has been doing all this writing while having health problems, and hospital stays. But she also has a great husband that would keep us informed of her progress. So that right there will always inspire me to read her work, and stay with her until this series is over, whether I like the book are not. LOL

So thank you Holly for all the writing, dedication, and trust with the ARC's.
