Spotlight is the last book in the Holland Brothers series! This whole series was absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend if you love sports romances with amazing banter! This is a baseball romance with a single mom, flirty banter, and found family vibes.
“I know I’ve only known you for a few minutes, but you aren’t the kind of woman a guy forgets so easily.”
Baby Holland’s book did not disappoint, the youngest of the Holland Brothers finally gets his book and it was so perfect! Olivia and Flynn first meet in New York. She’s there with her author sister, he’s in town for baseball tryouts. They have an amazing night, talking all night and fall asleep on the couch together. The next morning he’s whisked away for an impromptu meeting with his agent (Everly from Forever Wild) and when he returns back to the room, she’s gone and they never even exchanged names! Neither expects to see the other again, even though their connection was so strong, so imagine their surprise when they run into each other again in Arizona at his brother’s engagement party! He’s there to be the new pitcher for the Mustangs (the local baseball team), she’s best friends with his sister-in-law-to-be (Sabrina from Comeback). It was such a sweet, swoony, and perfect read!
I loved seeing Olivia and Flynn together! Also seeing both of them with her daughter Greer was the cutest. Olivia has the best support around her (her sister Ruby, her grandparents, her friends) and I loved seeing Flynn join that circle as well. The baseball time in the book was so fun and I loved seeing her work at her family’s bookstore too (the best of both worlds). Being the last book in the series was so fun and sentimental because we get to see so many characters from previous books! I loved everything in this one: Flynn’s flirty banter, the lunch notes her grandfather writes every days for her grandmother, Greer’s cute excitement, Greer signing with Archer, the no hitter game, his relationship with Earl and the team, her being gifted a book (I def shed some tears), Desert Queen, him bringing food and meds when Greer gets sick, the family and friend group, him reading her sister’s romance books, Greer’s coloring, all the plants, him showing up at Greer’s school, their support for one another.
I loved this addition to the series! Every book in the Holland Brothers series has been five stars for me, and no surprise that Olivia & Flynn’s book was too! I received an ARC, all thoughts in this review are my own.
