Lucifer gave me a job I couldn’t find his missing daughter before dark magic does.
I’m very good at pissing off demons. This time, I've crossed the Father of Lies himself. To fix it, I have to dive headfirst into hunting witches. All signs point to a sinister coven meddling with something ancient and dangerously unstable. And nothing is more unstable than Lucifer's "little girl."
Now I’m tangled in ley lines, creepy summoning circles, and the chaos of Burning Man, where these witches might be dragging unsuspecting humans into their mess.
As if that’s not bad enough, I’m stuck working with Zan, my thunder god ex I can’t seem to stay away from. The last thing I need is old sparks reigniting while Nevada teeters on disaster.
What would you do if the most experienced villian of the world calls you on the carpet makes you a deal you can't refuse? Lucifer Morningstar, who has amassed power by creating and collecting evil since the beginning of time, will not take no for an answer and you better be wearing your Depends. Dragon girl, Chrys must pool all her allies, and search the world famous week long art festival outside of Reno, Nevada, to locate Lucifer's daughter. Can she mend her relationship wirh Zan and work together? Will they finally do the "hokey pokey"? Sobol has added a new dimension to her Emergency saga as well as some intriguing characters and an ending that begs for another book. Please, make it so!
In the previous book Chrys and Zan did their job but crossed some boundaries. And Lucifer is pretty angry. To make things right the two of them must find Lucifers missing daughter and they have a week to do it. There is a bit of a mystery as they try and track down the missing girl. There are witches and summoning circles, something dark is happening and the girl seems to be at the center. The search takes them to the Burning Man event in Nevada. For a fairly short book (197 pages) a lot is happening. There is mystery, violence, suspense, magic, surprises and romance. A bit of everything. This is not a really light read and I loved it. I’m enjoying the whole series so far.
I’m really enjoying this series! I like Chrys and I love Zan for her, they are a great pair and I loved the progress they made together in this book. It was a great mystery and I loved the chaos that the Burning Man setting brought to the story, it was truly a lot of fun to read! I’m really enjoying this series and am honestly surprised there’s not more reviews for this book. This author has become must read for me and I cannot wait to read what she writes next!
