Dr Miranda Dupris is fed up with men, aren't most woman? So for her New Year's resolution she's banning them all, there will be no relationships, just going on first dates, end of story!
But then sun-kissed doc Jack Perry arrives in a spray of perfect snow and soon it looks as if Mira might be destined to lose her $100 bet , and her heart.
I never knew this author's books existed until the day I discovered her work by accident in my local library, and since then I thank my lucky stars every single day for that an accident that changed my life.
She has the ability to take me on a journey of romances so strong and so mind blowing , it feels like am floating on a cloud nine for weeks afterward. This time she has certainly done it again!
The character of Jack was all red hot fire, and I fell for this man straight from the start. Mira was a character I really connected with because we have all hit that " this is it I never want to do this again" " I hate men" point in our lives.
The entire read has a nice and even flow , but was not without a few twists and turns , which certainly proved my previous statements about this author's work, she just has a way of taking a story that seems like an everyday kind of thing and bringing it to life in such a manner it just seems like it's a bucket of cold water hitting you and suddenly revealing to you that this type of story is everywhere , you just never stopped to think about it.
I am taking away a message of sometimes we need to let go of a little something special to us in order to gain something that is more special than what we had.
I recommend this read for all fans of romance reads, it was fun, fresh and very entertaining!

How to Find a Man in Five Dates is a New Year’s Resolutions novel by Tina Beckett. It is a cute book and easy to get into and read. Dr. Miranda (Mira) Dupris is finished with men. She has been in a relationship with several men, the latest being Robert, and they have all gone south. Robert was fooling around on her and a friend told her about it. She confronted Robert and to his credit, he admitted it and said he wasn’t ready to settle down. Why he couldn’t have just told her is beyond her comprehension. So, this New Year’s Eve, she made a resolution with her best friend, Ellory. Mira said she would date 25 men this year and not get serious with any one of them. Ellory said she wouldn’t last past Number 5. Mira is determined to win the bet. Jack Perry, a doctor with a professional football team, is on a forced vacation. His coach made him go to get himself together. He was doing no one any good the way he was. So Jack found himself on the snowy beginner slope at Silver Pass resort. Jack was totally at home on a surfboard; but was having a rough time learning to ski. He had a short lesson and his ski instructor then left him on his own. Now he had to figure out how to stop on this slope, he couldn’t remember what to do. He quickly found himself down in the snow with his skis and poles nearby. He was really frustrated when he found himself looking at a snow angel. She was real. She was dressed in white and stood over him on skis. She offered to help him get up and back on his skis. However, he decided to walk down. He had agreed to meet her for hot chocolate. Little did he know he should walk away; but he didn’t. Mira had dated four men and this one looked like a good one for Number 5. He was gorgeous and intimidated by skiing. She offered to give him another lesson in the morning and hopefully a date would be the result. Then she would have five out of the way. That is, if she could get Robert, one of the ski instructors, to leave her alone. She refused to ruin his working relationship with her father, who owned the resort, but would tell him about Robert’s cheating if asked or if Robert pushed it. Robert saw a spark between Mira and Jack and started harassing Jack every time he would come across him. Jack is trying to recover and did not need any more trouble. When Mira saved him from a snow bunny, who just happened to be married, he felt he owed her and asked her to go with him on a sleigh ride. Mira was excited about going and nervous at the same time. Jack knew he didn’t was a one night stand and that with Mira, he really wouldn’t; but he knew he had to take it slow and easy to avoid feeling guilty. What is Jack’s problem? Why is he hesitant about accepting Mira’s offer of a night of pleasure? Why was he even here at a ski resort? Can Mira move past Number 5 and win her bet with Ellory?
you know there's some mills and boon books which are so sweet and romantic you can help but feel all lovely dovey after reading them? this book is definitely one of them.
Mari make a new years resolution to date 25 men in a year this is her way of not getting hurt as she's just come out of a relationship where the twat cheated and cheated on her. Mari works at her father's resort as the resident doctor.
Jack has had a rough 4 years after losing his childhood sweetheart, he can't seem to move his life forward and is having nightmares and Taking sleeping tablets. Jack works for a football team as their doctor and has been given time off to try and relax and sort his head out.
the resort he goes to Is owned by Maris dad.
after spotting him Mari sets out to make Jack date number 5 but when do things ever go to plan especially with romantic sleigh rides, disaster avalanche, interfering ex bringing these two closer together, it's more than just a date. such a beautiful setting I felt myself being jealous of the scenery and romantic feeling of a sleigh ride. best time to read this book is Christmas with a nice cup of hot chocolate ( spiked or not lol)
How to Find a Man in Five Dates by Tina Beckett is a well written romance with a stunning setting with snow all How-to-Find-a-Man-in-Five-Dates-by-Tina-Beckettaround.
Dr Miranda Dupris’s new year resolution is to ban all relationships and go on first dates only but things go awry with her plan when she meets her date no. five doc Jack Perry. Nothing goes according to her plan and she might be destined to lose her hundred-dollar bet… along with her heart!
Miranda was in a I-hate-men and relationship phase when the story started and quite rightly so. I liked her spirit and found her resolution really brave. Jack is someone who needs somebody to pull him out the despair he was facing after a personal tragedy. He meets the heroine while taking a vacation in a resort owned by the heroine’s father.
The romance was sweet, warm and keeps you hooked throughout with its interesting twists and turns. Tina Beckett takes a simple concept of girl meets tortured guy and somehow makes it unconventional and totally addictive.
Overall, How to Find a Man in Five Dates by Tina Beckett is a medical romance you just cannot miss, especially at this time of the year, given the sitting.
This is a sweet read mixing grief, guilt, romance and skiing with medical mishaps.
I enjoyed this quick, easy read. Mira’s fun, Jack’s brooding, their dates are a mix of fun, flirty and disasterous and the medical moments are a nice list of things that can go wrong when you’re skiing.
Okay, if I’m honest there are a few things that could have been resolved a little better – Jack’s whole guilt-complex, the man in the snow – and the ending was a pretty quick turn around for various people involved. And yes, Jack’s indignation when the whole number five thing is explained was daft considering the resolution was made long before she met him, but on the whole this was cute.
If you’ve read an M&M Medical book before, then you’ll know what to expect. The medical side is fairly light in this one, with the focus more on Jack’s brooding and the romance. It’s a fun escape to the snow, with enough heat to keep you warm. Best friend Ellory’s story looks interesting too.
(I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.)
HOW TO FIND A MAN IN FIVE DATES by Tina Beckett is an intense and full of life medical romance, that draws you in to the skiing world of Dr. Miranda Dupris and her stunning doc hero, Jack Perry. Sensuality abounds on each well-written page, that veers towards a fulfilling and deserving HEA.
