Kindred Spirits: How to Trim a Dragons Nails
After hanging up his adventuring boots, this half-demon healer opens Kindred Spirits—the first (and only) monster pet shop in the city of Secto. He was hoping for peace and quiet. Instead, he got a fire skink with a snack addiction, a moody dragon with trust issues, and a parade of eccentric neighbors uneasy with the ideas of monsters nearby.
But as Elric works to earn the trust of his newest scaly companion, he starts to realize that maybe monsters aren’t the only ones who need a little healing.

the picture on the book cover is a little misleading.. from the description of the mc, that is not what I saw .. but if you enjoyed books like all creatures great and small, or where the red fern grows..and its also about racism. building community, finding/making friends in a new place.

Loved it
A fun take on a fantasy novel. Well written with many laugh out loud moments. A story about human nature, belonging and compassion.
A former adventurer retires to the city to open a "pet shop" for magical beasts.
I definitely recommend reading. Very enjoyable.
