Now she’s locked in my private wing, eyes full of fury, mouth full of threats. The council wants her executed. My enemies want her crushed.
But I want her awake. Want her fighting. Because the more she resists, the harder it gets to remember— She’s not mine. Not yet.
But if I can’t bend her…
I’ll break the whole damn realm trying.
Read on for enemies-to-something-worse, chained rebellion, dark elf prince with a god complex, forced proximity in a fortress of shadows, knife-to-throat tension, and a heroine who’d rather die than kneel—until he makes her want to. She was captured to be broken… so why is he the one unraveling? HEA guaranteed.
Enjoyable story that's about one spit-fire human rebellion leader Lysandra Riven who was captured and given the death sentence by the Dark Elves is plotting to escape and one determined exiled Prince Xelith Vaeranthe who stops the execution because he wants her complete cooperation in his plans in this engaging story that drew me in. The characters were likable, and enjoyed reading the interactions between them, the attraction that simmered, and the intrigue written in this enjoyable romance copy I'd received and volunteer to read and review.
“Bound in Shadow” by Wynter Haven and Celeste King
A dark, gripping fantasy full of danger, dominance, and delicious tension. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.
Lysandra is fierce and unbroken, even in chains—until a Xelith, a deadly enemy claims her. Their twisted bond simmers with knife-edge chemistry and forbidden desire.
The reader is immersed in a magical world of brutal antiheroes, stubborn heroines, and shadow-drenched passion. An intense read.
